4 AM here, I see the notification "Oh no, I've been waiting so long for this one, I'm NOT going to sleep yet!" Lindita deserved to qualify :( I just wish she would have kept it in Albanian (though this version wasn't bad) Albanian vocalists are amazing ♥
The song and her vocals were so good that I don't even care about staging and outfit. She definitely deserved qualification. May be, the point is in order and other contestants. Belgium, Montenegro and Finland came right after her. Also Portugal, Sweden and Moldova were there. But still, I would easily put Albania, Finland and Iceland in Grand Final instead of Cyprus, Australia and Poland. I'd like to see Montenegro in final, too ☺ but only 10 can qualify.
Some people didn't like the staging, some people didn't like the dress (me), some people didn't like they changed the Albanian lyrics. Maybe, it was overshadowed by City Lights, one of the pre-contest favourites, which followed this song. If you look at the voting, few countries voted for this, 4 in the jury vote and 6 in the televote, but they voted hard.
Lindita's vocals were impeccable - for that alone deserves a qualification. But I think the staging and having three ballads performed in one go was what cost her a spot in the final. She was simply cancelled out.
The best non-qualifer of 2017 (with Czech Republic and Finland)! The song was never one of my favorites, but that vocal performance was really something outstanding! Albania have a tendency to send powerful voices to Eurovision. Should have qualified for that epic long note alone!
Albania is always underrated. Lindita and Eugent are both amazing artists, love them both! I remember how sad I was when she didn't advance... Georgia as well, I hoped at least one of them will make it. But there was Greece who qualified... still can't see how that is better than this. Love your reactions! 💓
I really wanted that you to make a reaction to this song, wanted so much. And yeeeees, thank you. I don’t know your language, but it was nice to see your reaction.
Wasn’t really a fan of this song but when I saw it live it immediately was one of my favorite performances. Ok the dress maybe destroyed the beautiful stage and her voice is insane! In my opinion it should have qualified too!🇦🇱🇩🇪
Another dress, the Albanian language and she had to deserve the top 10 in the final, but she did big mistakes with changing the song into English.. I felt so sorry for Albania in 2017 because she is one of the best singers at the Eurovision ever.
Her voice is absolutely fantastic her vocals amazing the song well is not so good now but I also love her persents on stage she really should be in Finals.
Might be the only one but I absolutely don't understand how this did not qualify. Amazing voice, amazing stage, great dress,etc... Even though I thing they should have kept it in Albanian, It's one of the few albanian translations that went great!
It would be interesting to hear, if you wanted this to qualify, which songs that did qualify you want to replace it with. Sometimes it sounds like it's "this should've qualified, and this should've qualified and should've qualified" about a majority of the songs that didn't qualify, and that's just impossible. One must remember, there were 18 songs that competed in the semifinals, and only 10 qualifies. It's not that the 8 that doesn't qualify are really bad or anything, or that people hated them, it's just that 10 other songs/performances were considered a little bit better. It's just the top 10 that gets any points.
I thought this would qualify until I saw this performance, why this may not have qualified: * The attire * The makeup * The not-as-good vocals (Pre-parties’ vocals were better) * The overall staging * I felt she might’ve tried too hard or was getting nervous
Listen to the original version ( in Albanian ) then you'll know why this didnt qualify... Im so glad Albania learned from this mistake this year, the only thing they did this year was to shorten the song, unlike this one which was a disastrous revamp
The good: the 20-second long note The bad: the LED screen The ugly: her makeup! Whoever did her makeup should be arrested!!!! From loud to soft, CR is next!
It was the toughest eurovision semifinal ever. There are 3 4 four more songs to deserved to be qualified. One county that can be swapped one of those country is Greece. Other ones deserved too. (Dihaj was in that semifinal too lol )
I would have qualified this, Georgia, and either Finland or Latvia over Australia, Cyprus and (and I hate to say it because I like the song, but the SF performance took me out of it) Belgium
Her entrance into the song was bit insecure, and a few more moments in the first half of the song. I guess she was nervous about that long note which she did perfectly and was much more relaxed and better after she hit that tone, but unfortunately it was already too late. And yes, should have qualify anyway! I was listening that long note so many times trying to figure it out where she's taking breath 😁. Almost impossible to do it in one breath but she did it perfectly!
I've been asking you more then 100 times to react to this song The reason why didn't get to final is so easy Eurovision like chicken song rather real singer with powerful voices
@@lailaagrado is not about the 2017 or '18 Every year in Eurovision there were amazing songs left behind and some childish songs got through which is so sad and unfortunate in 2017 was Albania and Finland In 2018 Croatia and many many other songs every year thats what I'm talking about
That would have qualified had it not been for a couple things: the styling and outfit was distracting at best, she should have fit in more with the steam punk theme happening at the end of the song which should have been carried through the whole performance. Also get rid of the heart hands, in all performances actually, they're just cheap. Also the original Albanian was better imo, it was so mysterious.
@Different 1 I thought Eurovision was about the voice and not what one is wearing. The song was ok, good enough and she sung the longest note ever at esc.
Having known the original version, 'Botë', which she performed in 'Festival I Këngës', 'World' was a bit underwhelming. Good, but not nearly as powerful as the original
She should have qualified. The song is not great neither her outfit but she is a fantastic singer and I think she should have been in the final... Oh... And I don't like making a heart with her hands...
So, i do realize you didnt really like germanys winning entry in 2010. Well, Lena performed again the next year (2011) with a drastically different (and imo superior) song, "taken by a stranger" and got 10th place for it. Could be fun to see if you like her better there
Sorry Jake, I have to disagree. It took a while for her voice to warm-up; I'd even go as far as saying she looked spaced out at the beginning :) Can't say i'm a fan of the song either, I still don't know what she is singing about. She was off-key several times- you can see her reposition her earpiece. IMHO she's not even in the same league as Aminata, Dani Im etc.
Jake, i didnt like it because i didnt feel she was feeling whats the music was. She was Just showing. "Wow, see how beautiful i sing. Lets make a High note: X secounds on this note? Ok, thats all i need to have greatest vocal performance." Staging was great, very strong images but i didnt understood why they put it. IT was like they were putting the elements, good elements, but together they didnt have a soul as a group. They were Just fullfil a" checklist of success" in eurovision. Thats why Portugal won that year. We Just was worry about the soul of the music stronger than ever and our music appeal had a very good delivery way of deliver.
Well many people dont like screaming song...and its totally that in this song. And even if she sang it pretty well and the chorus as somethibg good... The overall seems messy.
Strong song, very powerful voice, simple but striking stage show: brilliant, but with two aspects that mean it still doesn't rate as a qualifier for me. 1. Lindita's costume is really distracting visually and thematically. I'm pulled out of the performance, wondering why she chose that look to go with this song. The connection is far from obvious. 2. Despite her powerful voice, she does one thing that really bugs me: holding vocal gymnastics beyond a few words of the lyric content. She wails through an entire chorus, meaning I have to block her out to hear her backing vocalists deliver the message of the song, or I listen to her, impressed yet distanced from what the song is saying. Rasmussen and Eugent Bushpepa from this year handled the money notes; in Rasmussen's case, he didn't hold his highlight notes too long, and Eugent had time in his track to let that emotion show through wordless notes without drowning out lyrics from elsewhere.
The lyrics were quite cheesy though and the staging was bad. Lindita's voice has always been great, though this song seems to me far from her usual style.
Tremendous vocalist, without a doubt However, the song imo was pretty uninspiring. Nonqualification did not come as a surprise! Sorry Albania.......2018 was miles better.. go Eugent😁😁
Albania tried several times with this kind of musically overproduced powerballads and although the singers mostly perform very well they failed to qualify with all of them leading to the conclusion that this kind of genre is not that popular.
In 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 Albania send the same mediocre pop ballad and the same screaming female singer over and over again with bad results to follow - completely deserved what it got..
"Eurovision 2017 is confusing me". Yeah, that's a solid mood.
#Luke, I absolutely agree. The song with the worst first impression that year - was that years winner. Albania was one of my favorites that year.
@@najrenchelf2751 Belgium or Bulgaria should’ve won no?
Skinni Armes, idk - I do remember that I wanted Lithuania to win though. :)
@@najrenchelf2751 EXACTLY. They're my 2nd
We're about to kick off eurovision 2019 and I'm still watching a 2017 dnq. Albania never gets the justice it deserves. My winner
my winner too:(

Albanian vocalists are amazing ♥
Thank you so much for waiting up for me.💚
Omg!!! How much air can she keep??? How strong that voice is!!! 😍😍😍 fantastic singer!!👏👏👏👏
What??? Amazing Perfomance Albania, faleminderit🇦🇱
LINDITA IS THE DIVA!!!
This song is so amazing, i really don't see why it was not in the final. One of the best songs last year, and her 20 second note is iconic 😍
The song and her vocals were so good that I don't even care about staging and outfit. She definitely deserved qualification.

They shouldve done more about the staging also she was quite nervous
She also forgot some of her lyrics here & there in the semi and her english isnt the best

I think this song should won the ESC 2017, I am from Brazil and this song is SO PERFECT

I'am feel very sorry very bloody year for Albania at the ESC.
So underrated. Albania have very good singers!
I don’t like this song so, but pleaaaase, Lindita absolutely deserved top 10! Amazing!!!!

@@roel9314 In Eurovision everything matters that's why we need to look at all the aspects!
I loved her and her song. To me, her vocals just felt weak up until the long note and the last chorus.
It was a good song, marvellous vocals but awful staging and style for her.
Other long notes include Malta 1992, Romania 2010 & 2014, Ukraine 2006 & 2010, Albania 2012 & 2018
That long note...how is that even possible? Should have qualify for sure!
another injustice... :'(
Fun fact: Lindita was in the final season of American Idol. She didn't get too far there either :/
Good voice, atrocious styling.
