What I like about ST:P is the fact it is set after all the other ones. As the result special effects and new technology does not look out of place. Bridge of Rias's ship has holografic screens and gesture control? Well, it is set decades after ST:TNG, ST:DS9 and ST:V. And they don't have to get out of situations where this technology exists in ST:D, but why doesn't it decades later in ST:TNG?

Q letting the federation know before hand about the borg. I wonder if he had not intervened how the timeline would of gone. Would the federation refused to exist. Would there of been an alliance between the klingons and romulans as well in order to come together to fight a greater adversary.
While I never got to see the Comick book version of events that took place Before the new Series PICARD... I did come across the audio book Picard Last Best Hope. Which illustrates the attempted evacuation of the Romulans out of the blast radius of the Romulans star going Super Nova. I got the audio book at Amazon and finished it 2 days before my Season 1 DVD set of Picard Bought from eBay for $11 Arrived. As a result I fully understand the situation and the supporting characters. As well as understand what's going on wuth Comander Maddex ..... Data.... And so on. I only wish they had made a movie based on Picards efforts to try and evacuate the Romukan ppl... The Sinths on Utopia Planetia .... The attack on Mars.... Etc etc etc. Would have made for a great feature FILM

I like Picard as Captain .but it is classic Captain Kirk is my favourite. Captain. of the Enterprise. ,And truth be told he was the first Captain I grew up up ,Since he was thr first Captain of the Enterprise. then Picard after the Voyage Home came in 86 ,Then ole Picard hit the Ari waves in in late 87 for me ,And he took a little getting use to as the new captain of the Enterprise. ,And eventually the dude grew on me ,But it was not till "The Best of Both Worlds ' parts 1&2 that started to like him ,So my point I have liked Picard from the point on .But classic Kirk is still the coolest captain of the Enterprise for me that is .

Maybe it wasn't enough ships in the time available, but not enough backstory has been provided to make this make sense. Since nothing in the story is well thought out, and most of the story is designed to serve petty concerns, the likely answer is that the explanation is contrived and can only make sense as far as you don't think about it too much or the details are not provided.
This all happened a mere eight years after the entire Romulan Senate was wiped out in Nemesis ... so there was likely still some instability left from that fiasco. The main planet, Romulus, was destroyed by a supernova - that's what Spock tried (and failed) to save them from in the 2009 film, leading to the Nero and Spock time travelling shenanigans. Evacuating an *entire* base planet, sister planet, plus some side planets in that star system's blast zone? That sort of thing requires assistance. Picard was trying to provide that assistance, having won respect from Romulans for helping to save them all from Shinzon (where's Commander Donatra now?), he really had to push for it ... but just as things got started, the synths provided the Mars on fire sky show and Starfleet bailed on providing *any* assistance at all.
Data was killed off for bitching about money , He did keep saying you can not do it with out me so they killed him off and he did still did the movie lol. They wanted to make a point that your not going to be the highest paid. He made there point even better by still doing it.
They should at least get a narrator that pronounces the names of important characters and places correctly. This video lost all sense of credibility to me with all the mispronunciations.

In the Star Trek universe, season 1 of TNG is set 99 years after the pilot 'Where No Man Has Gone Before' and 98 years after the 1st season of TOS. Season 1 of TNG is set 71 years after the last TOS film (The Undiscovered Country). 35 years have passed since Season 1 of TNG and season 1 of Picard.
