I think he wants Jack to hit him that's why he mentions bella for example. Hannibal enjoys bringing out the dark side of everyone. in this case of Jack.
He is in Jack's head. Hannibal has expressed before that dying wouldn't ever come as a surprise. It's kind of like the Joker in a sense that he does everything he does for two reasons, to feel, and to antagonize. It's all for pleasure. I like to believe that Hannibal is in control in this fight so long as he keeps his spirit. You can't break Hannibal, and so even when he dies, he'll still haunt the shit out of you.
That's what i thought as well , then again it is said and showed several times on the show that Hannibal doesn't seem to feel pain as much as your average person . He barely flinches when Mason Verger stabs him slowly in the back with his knife , nor does he seem to be in much pain when Verger's henchman marks him in the back with a red hot iron seal ...
Being a psychiatrist and trained in the minds of others and himself, he has probably mastered 'mind over matter', therefore can ignore certain pain. Idk I'm just guessin'.

In my mind Hannibal is the devil fucking with Jack Will and all these people and there’s nothing they can really do about it lol
It was brilliant of the writers to show how Jack had learned from his first throw down with Hannibal. He knew his opponent and was able to handle him with such confident ease. While I love the character, it’s always awesome when dangerous villains meet even more dangerous protagonists.
I love the character of Hannibal, but this scene was so goddamn satisfying. He's always so aloof to the pain and misery he causes, so completely convinced he's above it all. And frequently gets away without a *stain* let alone a scratch. So watching Jack beat the thundering shit out of him and prove he's just a human being felt like watching the other shoe drop in glorious technicolor slow-mo. Also, Jack HAD Hannibal, and the only reason he got away was that Jack just felt like ringing his bell for as long as humanly possible. This wasn't even remotely about bringing him to justice. EDIT: I just read the comments and apparently, I'm not alone!
Jack is such a huge guy, getting hit by him must be like getting hit by a sledgehammer. I love how he was able to just pick up Hannibal and throw him haha
+Chris Johndom Yes I do. I think everything he does is very calculated. ***SPOILERS*** Hannibal was luring Jack. Jack could see he really hurt him and wanted to finish the job. When Hannibal was going to eat Will, he was waiting for someone. He was waiting for Jack because he knew Jack was gunning for him. Hannibal had already set the plate.
Joshua Silva I know. But S1 is when Hannibal is completely in control of everything and making Will's life hell. So I go to this scene in S3 to remind myself that Hannibal gets what he deserves.
He's still a human lol. He just knows how to control it to a degree. Like when he was branded at the Verger Mansion. He didn't scream. But to have a hook just stabbed hard into his leg only made him grunt really
This had to be the best realistic fight in TV dramas ever. I mean these two were fighting each other like giants, there was no ninja fighting skill involved just pure physical strength. The scene where Hannibal was trying to break open the door by colliding with it forcefully....is EPIC, GRANDE like it makes you appreciate his strength so much. That part was actually scary. Imagine you in a room with lock door and someone's trying to break it and you can hear the loud THUD THUD. God...... their fight was a scary one.
Can't even begin to describe how much I enjoyed that scene. I honestly couldn't stop laughing. That upbeat music coupled with the fact that Hannibal 100% deserved to be layed out like that made that scene such a joy to watch. His character is extremly interesting but I was cheering for jack the whole time. I'd love to see a fight between Will and Hannibal as well. 😂
Absolutely one of the best television moments of all time! Bar none. You gotta love that at 1:40 when it seems that the beat down is over, it still continues! NBC- you are dicks for canceling this show!
Radio Ardilla I will agree with you on that but at the same time Hannibal had ZERO business being on NBC in the first place. This needed to be on HBO, Showtime, Netflix or just anywhere else but basic cable
@@princewellidk7790 Ya know...FX would have worked out too. That channel is unique as its a basic cable outlet that attracts people looking for edgier fair than a vanilla NCIS clone. I think it would have done quite well on FX actually.
This is the first time that Hannibal isn't the one controlling the situation. The silence, Jack turning on the music and appearing from his back... This must have been the only time Hannibal has been dominated.
I love the difference between this fight and their first one. Jack pulls no punches here and strikes both strategically and very brutally. Leaves no opening's for Hannibal to grab a weapon.
I don't know what's more satisfying, Jack actually setting the music for this fight or Hannibal's continual attempts to mess with Jack getting met with a fist. I know the saying is "if at first you don't succeed, try try again", but after getting a hook through one's calf, one would think it's time to come up with a new strategy.
Jack Crawford opened up a can of Morpheus on his ass! I have absolutely 0 sympathy for Dr.Lecter, that ass kicking was a long time a comin! Sadly Jack didn't finish the job which means sooner or later Jack may be a future entree for Hannibal's party guests.
TheGentleman I admit, I too have been dyin to make the "don't F with Morpheus" analogies. Damn Hannibal was egging him on to get him to that rope, kept talking just so instead of Jack choking him to death in five seconds, he took the duration of the beat down so he could survive. They are both notable in their patience here, that's so weird.
As much as I love it isn’t it better leaving it at three seasons rather than bringing it back for a audience who have built expectations that can never be met?
Although Hannibal had it coming, but what I like about this scene is how he welcomes this moment, without fear, and in fact with mockery, he is indifferent with death it almost feels as if he had guaranteed his survival, yet his death is much more certain, or maybe he is just that confident of his plot armor!
Laurence is in *much* better shape for season 3 and that really sells this scene. I've never had such a big smile on my face watching someone get their ass beat.
It's been nine years since I first saw this and it's still so satisfying to watch. I loved Hannibal's characterization throughout this show but is there anyone who can deny that he had this beating coming?
The thing is Jack learned a lot from round one, while Hannibal wasn't prepared for round 2. Jack knew to keep Hannibal from anything he can use as a weapon since his prepared to throw knifes and use glass shards as daggers. This round? Jack made sure that he could kick him around without staying near him for without hitting him. Hannibal though didn't have a counter against Jack's hits which left him with nothing after he lost his knife as well. I haven't seen round 3 yet but if Jack keeps it up like this and Hannibal doens't have anything like a weapon, Jack is gonna use him to mop the blood of the floor from round 3.
The show is cancelled. But Hannibal doesn't need a knife. Hannibal learn from watching how Jack fights. Jack surprised him .It was his advantage at that time.
***** Hannibal has seen him fight like twice now so he haven't had much chance to watch him fight and Jack has probably done the same and that is why he surprised Hannibal. The reason he had the advantage was because he knew that if he could sneak up on Hannibal and get the first strike and continue without giving Hannibal a chance to breath he would win. And so he did.
This is a great beat down, well deserved & satisfying. I know we all loved the show called HANNIBAL, but it was quite cathartic to Hannibal get absolutely wrecked. Just remember everything he's done to all of them. You can also definitely tell jacks picked up a few things, even from Hannibal & his last fight. Very clever music distraction & no shoes so Hannibal can't hear him sneak up. Probably wasn't wearing any cologne either so he couldn't smell him lol.
Hannibal got manhandled and he had it coming. The Diskussion under the first Fight between them was like: Hannibal plays dirty because he knows that Jack could outpower him. He almost won the first fight also. Hannibal waited for Jack taking a breath, playing possum until he could stab him in the neck was a very dirty move. But legit, he fought for his freedom. In this fight you see how it would've played out if Jack starts to fight dirty. Satisfying to see, after all those people saying hannibal was a better fighter than Jack.
in the show version compared to the movie jack is such a boss. i was always so surprised that he continually went TO hannibal to fuck him up even after knowing what he's capable of. lol im so impressed
Pretty much every character is better than their film portrayals. Except Manhunter is still my favorite of the films and like those portrayals just as much. Brian Cox is an underrated Lecter.
Such excellent choreography in this scene. It's brutal, yet believable violence. Even down to how hannibal pulls the hook out of his leg near the beginning. You would think he would retain it to hit Jack, but he would be in so much pain pulling it out, it's unlikely you could do it in a controlled way. Tres bien!
This really shows how strong jacks punches are. After every hit Hannibal grunts and groans but after getting his arm broken he just says “so you gonna kill me or what lol” crazy
The first move Jack does completely unbalances Hannibal personally. He hates indignity and the sleight is written all over his face as he rises from the smashed glass. One instant he was standing poised and ready to strike and the next he had his arm and head stuck in a undignified tangle that nullified his ability to use his knife. He muat have hated being manhandled like this. Great sequence.
Hearing this music after Clockwork Orange, all I'm waiting for is Malcolm McDowell to come in and say "Hold on now, Lawrence me old boy! Don't kill Lecter before I have the chance to give him one in the yarbles!" and then starts kicking the shit out of him as well. LOL! This scene was great!
I binged the series recently while watching it for the first time, and I was almost cheering during this entire scene. Hannibal slamming teeth-first into the wheel is one of the only times (the second time for this series) that's made me go "OOOOOOOOOOH" at a TV show or movie.
I think Dr Lector's biggest strength is being in control. Being on the offense almost constantly. You could tell when he pulled out his knife that he was *heavily* on the defence. He wasn't expecting Jack to come. The element of surprise is what got Jack his win.
a more accurate title would be "Jack beats the shit out of Hannibal for 3 solid minutes"
An even more accurate title would be jack beats the ever loving hell out of Hannibal for 3 solid minutes.

Jack is 1000% the better fight all over and the rematch was always going to go his way because he wasn't going to be tricked a second time, even if he didn't have the jump on him.
@@dreamyful I mean I never said I was an expert or anything, so this comment is kinda useless and I'm not reading your essay.
1:01 i love the way he rolls up his sleeves, like "Where just getting started lil' bitch" its like hes the audience's rage incarnate.
Oh, much as i love/hate hannibal this Beat down was a longgg time coming and every bit as satisfying as i wanted it to be.
nicolae cutzarida Lmao, yeah. I actually believed Jack was going to loose again but hey! It finally happened and Hannibal got his ass kicked for the very first time.
+Barbara Efendi because he let him
+gamalier andres No he didn't. Jack just opened the fight with a devastating sneak attack that left Hannibal at a very early disadvantage, and it just went downhill from there.
@@Anothergoogleaccount1 he may have planned the escape route but there was a high chance jack could kill him. he was at disadvantage. jack attacked first and silently and gave many damage as fast as he can. he is also stronger so avoiding weapons was a smart move since in mizumono we saw that hanni is better with weapons
@@mezidegulduvan5256 Mads Mikkelsen said Hannibal is Satan 🤷♂️ that and the fact that the writers weren’t going to kill Hannibal is enough to let you know nothing was going to happen.
Anyone else smiled a lot trough this? Really satisfying seeing Hannibal getting his ass handed to him
haha Lawrence Fishburne owned this scene.
Morfeo :v
Carolina Lecter * Morpheus.
If there's an actor that I belive could pull this off in real life Mr Fishburne is definitely one of them
@@PLATOON72 Morfeo: Spanish

Hes so strong physically
Jack in the rush to beat the crap out of Hannibal over and over again, bringing no justice or just killing is absolutely great.
Hannibal‘s face expression and eyes sitting at the window at the end of the beating be like :🥺
just precious
🤨
This was the most cathartic scene ever. Put this in an oddly satisfying playlist.
Jack is such a huge guy, getting hit by him must be like getting hit by a sledgehammer. I love how he was able to just pick up Hannibal and throw him haha
My favorite scene of this season so far.
+Sean Hastings mine too. were all crazy pyschos arent we?
+Paradox_larakroft no, it's good violence.
tikletik "good violence". welcome to the sadistic club.
+Paradox_larakroft Agreed, we are all psychos. But it feels good :3
Barbara Efendi yes. yes it does. :3
I watch this scene every time I do a watch-through of S1. It's so satisfying to know that Hannibal get the ever living crap beat out of him.
... But this was in season 3?
But you have to ask yourself, was he really trying, did he really care? Apathy, anxiety or fear is something psychopathic cannibals generally lack.
+Chris Johndom Yes I do. I think everything he does is very calculated.
***SPOILERS***
Hannibal was luring Jack.
+Andrea Sorrento The funny thing is hannibal doesn't see it as being a punishment at all.
As much as I love good old Dr. Lecter, he had every bit of this coming.
1:24 Can you say that a little louder, Hannibal? I don't think Jack could hear you over the sound of his fist.
"He never screams..."
Hannibal: (gets hooked) AARRRRGGHH!!
Never mind.
He's still a human lol. He just knows how to control it to a degree. Like when he was branded at the Verger Mansion. He didn't scream. But to have a hook just stabbed hard into his leg only made him grunt really
@@kayveeproductions2957 Ur right, he just acts like he's stubbed his toe lol
Probably because he couldn’t see it coming
This had to be the best realistic fight in TV dramas ever. I mean these two were fighting each other like giants, there was no ninja fighting skill involved just pure physical strength. The scene where Hannibal was trying to break open the door by colliding with it forcefully....is EPIC, GRANDE like it makes you appreciate his strength so much. That part was actually scary. Imagine you in a room with lock door and someone's trying to break it and you can hear the loud THUD THUD. God...... their fight was a scary one.
Hannibal vs Jack Round 1:
Jack's opening move - Draws gun.
Hannibal's opening move - Throws big fuck-off knife.
Hannibal vs Jack Round 2
Jack's opening move - Takes off shoes, queue dramatic music.
Hannibal's opening move - Starts monologuing.
The Daedric Top Hat Oh, no shit!
I will now call all my kitchen knives, "big, fuck-off" knives
@@DENSITY5404 how about FX?
@@princewellidk7790 Ya know...FX would have worked out too. That channel is unique as its a basic cable outlet that attracts people looking for edgier fair than a vanilla NCIS clone. I think it would have done quite well on FX actually.
@@DENSITY5404 FX is a really good channel ,they gave people creative freedom unlike NBC.
i was so pissed when they canceled this show....I still dont understand why?
Hannibal, I'm sorry darling but this was hilarious.
that lil pouty face at 2:36 - 2:39
1:16
Mads's line delivery is always so fucking good.
The really funny thing is that Hannibal isn’t even sorry or regretful about anything, he’d die with a smile.
Despite, how much I love hannibal, I enjoyed every second of this because he deserved every punch, kick and everything.
Sorry, I had to say it.
This scene can be described by one simple word...Karma :D
0:01
callback to Hannibal taking out Miriam Lass in the first season by taking off his shoes to be stealthy
that was the most satisfying thing i had seen in a while, i was grinnning the whole time
This is the first time that Hannibal isn't the one controlling the situation. The silence, Jack turning on the music and appearing from his back... This must have been the only time Hannibal has been dominated.
This was such a satisfying scene to watch. Jack was so calm and collected about it too, so he was in his right mind giving Hannibal the whooping
0:44 "Come on. Stop trying to hit me and HIT ME!"
HIT ME!
*HIT ME!*
I love the difference between this fight and their first one. Jack pulls no punches here and strikes both strategically and very brutally. Leaves no opening's for Hannibal to grab a weapon.
The satisfaction I felt watching this is beyond words can describe
I don't know what's more satisfying, Jack actually setting the music for this fight or Hannibal's continual attempts to mess with Jack getting met with a fist. I know the saying is "if at first you don't succeed, try try again", but after getting a hook through one's calf, one would think it's time to come up with a new strategy.
This music honestly makes the scene more comical and better.
TheGentleman Lol, touché!
Those who're familiar with Hannibal Lecter lore know otherwise.
Jack's not dying any time soon.
MrImastinker why's that? Please educate me :P
@@dinomite6710 Watch Red Dragon and Silence of the Lambs.

I've never been so relax in my whole life
This scene is SO SATISFYING to see I was grinning through the whole scene he had it coming 😂😌.
God damnit this was perfect
Bring back Hannibal! We want the serie 4.
Fuck yeah Bring HANNIBAL!!
They need someone to stream
As much as I love it isn’t it better leaving it at three seasons rather than bringing it back for a audience who have built expectations that can never be met?
They’re called “seasons” in the States.
@@jimmy2k4o The expectations can be met and even exceeded with the right team and “channel.” HBO would serve this show up beautifully.
Although Hannibal had it coming,
but what I like about this scene is how he welcomes this moment, without fear,
and in fact with mockery, he is indifferent with death it almost feels as if he had guaranteed his survival, yet his death is much more certain, or maybe he is just that confident of his plot armor!
morpheus still going strong
Hannibal redpilled confirmed
Laurence is in *much* better shape for season 3 and that really sells this scene. I've never had such a big smile on my face watching someone get their ass beat.
I noticed that too. It makes him look slightly younger in a way. It’s very much a post-training to defeat my enemy body.
As much as I love Hannibal, it was nice watching him get his ass handed to him.
ahh, good old ultraviolence
Singin' in the rain, just singin' in the rain...
that's right brother sir
It's been nine years since I first saw this and it's still so satisfying to watch. I loved Hannibal's characterization throughout this show but is there anyone who can deny that he had this beating coming?
Yep this was payback for that kitchen fight basically…
This time Jack wants to kill him. Hannibal barely got him in round 1. Jack dominated in round 2. We will see who takes best fighter in round 3.
***** IN round three hannibal takes a bite of jack's brain
FAROOQ95123
Uhh no he doesn't. I don't want to spoil you on what you haven't seen yet.
How will you feel when I'm gone, Jack? - Alive.... (:
This is a great beat down, well deserved & satisfying. I know we all loved the show called HANNIBAL, but it was quite cathartic to Hannibal get absolutely wrecked. Just remember everything he's done to all of them. You can also definitely tell jacks picked up a few things, even from Hannibal & his last fight. Very clever music distraction & no shoes so Hannibal can't hear him sneak up. Probably wasn't wearing any cologne either so he couldn't smell him lol.
I bought the outfit Jack wore during this scene!
Nick Solan really ?
Jack bought my outfit during this scene
Jacks outfit bought my scene during this.
You have money wow
I bought the Jack the outfit was being worn by in this scene.
As much as I love Hannibal as a character, GOD this is cathartic to watch!
this fight looks like an art
Exams: how will you feel when I'm gone?
Students: Alive!!!
God this show needs to come back
the music in the background made it funny and serious at the same time.
I'm not sure why, but seeing Hannibal crawl on the floor every time he falls is really funny to me
Bro- hannibals back arch and grunts tho dam LMAO im in love with hannibal i cant stop waching it
Such excellent choreography in this scene. It's brutal, yet believable violence. Even down to how hannibal pulls the hook out of his leg near the beginning. You would think he would retain it to hit Jack, but he would be in so much pain pulling it out, it's unlikely you could do it in a controlled way. Tres bien!
a bit of the old ultraviolence yeah? :D
This really shows how strong jacks punches are. After every hit Hannibal grunts and groans but after getting his arm broken he just says “so you gonna kill me or what lol” crazy
Crawford like:
‘Last time it was my job, this time it’s my hobby!’
When the predator gets preyed upon...
Love this scene!
This song reminds me to keep my droogs in place.
I cant stop smiling.
Hannibal really had it coming!
I love Hannibal but damn. Jack really fucked him up. Crawford is a savage here lol
Ladies and gentlemen, Jack fucking Crawford!
The wheel, Jack gives a spin, is metaphorically showunb that Hannibal's time is running out in s3. Love it
Hearing this music after Clockwork Orange, all I'm waiting for is Malcolm McDowell to come in and say "Hold on now, Lawrence me old boy! Don't kill Lecter before I have the chance to give him one in the yarbles!" and then starts kicking the shit out of him as well. LOL! This scene was great!
Still love how Jack takes his shoes off. He ain't fucking around
I binged the series recently while watching it for the first time, and I was almost cheering during this entire scene. Hannibal slamming teeth-first into the wheel is one of the only times (the second time for this series) that's made me go "OOOOOOOOOOH" at a TV show or movie.
Same lol especially for this show
I think Dr Lector's biggest strength is being in control. Being on the offense almost constantly. You could tell when he pulled out his knife that he was *heavily* on the defence. He wasn't expecting Jack to come. The element of surprise is what got Jack his win.
I started to laugh uncontrollably like a psycho whenever I watched this scene. Best stress relief.
Jack Crawford is the final boss we needed and deserved. Complete with theme music.
“You eat people for breakfast? I eat people who eat people for breakfast!” Jack Crawford
Jack is basically the whole fandom towards Hannibal especially after the Season 2 finale
I fucking hate Jack. Hanni is the best!
hannibal's face at 00:12 is one of the very few times he lowers his people mask and reveal real emotion.
I'm just rewatching Hannibal and this is one of my favourite scenes. It's damn hilarious :D
Gollimus the music totally makes this scene fantastic
