    Exactly what I needed to diagnose what happened to my treadmill at the end of my training run last weekend! While buying a new roller will be cheaper overall, not sure if it's fully cost-efficient for a $450 treadmill I bought 7 years ago, and plus, I'm not sure how easy it will be to even get a replacement roller. I'll research it. Thank you so much for this video!

    Thank you for your Sole Treadmill videos. My 2013 Sole F80 was making a grinding noise at the rear roller area, and it sounded like the rollers needed to be replaced. I just ordered and replaced my rollers, and while I did so, I also lubed the deck again, and cleaned out the motor compartment. I followed the calibration procedure in the owner's manual, and my treadmill sounds and feels brand new again! Next time, though, it seems it would be a simple bearing replacement, and will simply replace the bearings in the rollers I removed.

    this video was really helpful. I was trying to center the belt but I took the rear roller out and I couldn't put it back and when I did the treadmill stopped working. Now I'm gonna try this method to adjust the rear roller.

    Thanks for posting this. I think my Sole F80 is developing this problem, but hasn't been used that much.

    Thanks for taking time to make and post this video. I now have a quiet treadmill that I like to use again. Your video guided me exactly as needed to replace the roller.

    Thanks for the video just now changed my back roller, took me all of 15 minutes tops. Actually took me another 15 minutes to realize I permanently took out the cap screws 8 years ago and never put them back. Couldnt quit figure out why the driver wasnt making contact with the screw.
    Caps snap back on, screws are not required.

    Great Video! Are there universal rear rollers out there to purchase or do I have to find my brand of treadmill???

    Excellent videos! My Sole F85 (2007) is making a bumping, rattling noise like ball bearings going out. I think it is the front roller, and I'd prefer to replace it myself. Have you done that? Is there anything not obvious that I should know?

    Do you remember if the deck of the treadmill vibrates when you run if the rollers have gone bad?

    • @RJTheBikeGuy
      @RJTheBikeGuy  5 років тому +1

      I don't remember it vibrating. It might if they are really bad maybe.

      @@RJTheBikeGuy i have an F85 as well, not even a year and a half old that i put 400+ miles on so far. Its making a clunking sound and the deck vibrates. Replacement front and back rollers are on the way and i pray that fixes it.

      @@beans9298 Probably will. The bearings they use are not great. I replaced the bearings in my rear roller, with good quality Japanese bearings, and haven't had an issue since. ua-cam.com/video/hnx_RduS7wM/v-deo.html

    Hi RJ thank you for your video. Am in the process of replacing this roller on a 2009-2010 MY Sole F80, but cannot get those end caps off for the life of me. They look different from yours (link below), on one side the screw is completely loose and I can shimmy the cap around but it just won't let go on the side, and the other the screw just won't turn at all and at this point is probably stripped. Any ideas about what I am missing or how I could just cut these off at this point? Thank you.... images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/41zm9WmoMbL._SY355_.jpg

      Dunno. I wouldn't cut them. You can try calling Sole tech support. They are very good.

    just replace the bearing...

    • @RJTheBikeGuy
      @RJTheBikeGuy  6 років тому

      Under warranty, they usually send you a whole new roller. But also have a video on replacing the bearings. ua-cam.com/video/hnx_RduS7wM/v-deo.html
      Though I had a Horizon where I could never get the bearing out. Even with heat, solvents, and pounding.
