How relevant is this observation in current season? Im coming back from quitting at the start of samurai season. I mained maul for like 99% of my game time. So i wanted to try a completely different class and its funny to admit but i dont lift up my shield often
It hasn't changed at all really, the previous nerf took out some armor buffs from their heal but your going to use it anyway. Just know the current burst meta can get you killed fast, so staying alive is more important than anything. But I bet you know how from playing Maul already.
@@AlanApogee Thanks for the response and video. its weird seeing these new meta's due to mastery's since that was a newish mechanic being introduced when i quit. I did live for a long time as maul but that was becuz i was unga bunga master and smash enemies away from me. I wonde rhow id fair as maul now with this kind of meta.
@@BigBowl9 Still works, as some meta units are block focused. But definately harder due to the higher burst, aka Phalanxes and Shilidars being able to one shot
@@AlanApogee I'm surprised im seeing silahdars again. Im doing decent with reapers and just to fuck with the shield meta ( reminiscent of when stalwarts were everywhere ) my zykalian and siphonari's and just burn everything. I've improved my gameplay tremendously because of your video so thanks a ton.
@@AlanApogee Only ones you get high? Please explain. Do I need to craft it with good stats then lock and reforge or? EDIT: Found your other videos/guides.
@@Zeratul3598 Think you got it already, but essentially: Craft armor -> If the armor has higher leadership than your current one then reforge it by locking leadership.
i use the same skills, but on full health with roughly 45k lifepoints. so full armor outweighs the bigger health pool? a long time ago, it was said, that after about roughly 900 armor, it is not worth increasing, as the dmg reduction per armor point decreases. my thought: the dmg i take, has to be 50% higher in comparison to your 30k lifepoints (on full armor) in order to get me killed faster. very curious to know if this is the case. maybe you have some stats or a vid for me? would be nice to see content about that. haven't reskilled to full armor for a while now, so i will have to give it a try again. anyways, nice vid with quality content and explanation!
A simple example using 100 attribute points: 40k hp is 33% more than 30k, 1200 armor is 43% better than 900 armor against 1600 AP (Avg pen of T4 melee units). So yes, full armor is much better than armor IF you avoid muskets and artillery which have high AP, or ignore armor. The old saying is a rumor that has been going on for far too long even though the opposite is true. (KnightStalker during his last LS guide made the mistake too)
@@AlanApogee thx. I remember a vid on that topic, that pointed that decrease out from testing. But i don't know who it told. But I trust your testing for sure.
Armor gets better the more there is, if you just want defense it's the way to go. But if you want other atk attributes just go with any mix of hp and that attribute. That being said, Armor isn't too great with Wuwei around debuffing armor by 400... That is if you live in the first place either way. Best is not to take fights you can't win
@@AlanApogeehey! Any chance we can get a quick little update? I’m sure it takes a loooong time to gather and test through all this info. But maybe a little 5 min update on what’s viable now? As a noobie new to the game, I look up to you, and an update would help massively. Also, heal got nerfed a week or two ago. How bad was it in your expert eyes? Thanks a million for the vid! U da best
Glaive dmg output is probablly much higher when u consider unit buff it provides. Great videos. Classes that buff units like Glaive or Shield seems very good. And yes cc, blocking ans buffing are just few od the stats not shown on the leaderboars. There is also how much us juked, how much time u wasted for enemy team, objectives, team morale, teamfight participation ((k+a)-d )/total kii ll ss sss
Great video! I am never close to your damage. I mostly go full support mode with ISG, SS, Myrm/MMA and Rattan Pikes. I do that because I like be at the very front 24/7 as a blocker, damage sponge and push initiator. As that is the way I run do you agree with that I go with around 1150 armor on all and with 36500 health on Siege gear? Or would you suggest go full armor and push over 1200 and go down on health?
I’ve played since season 3 - 6, 10, and the current one, long sword is my main and is indeed very strong and easy to use, but I disagree on going full defense, I put my points in agility and strength and use the skill that hits 2 times and the third is a kick, that skill alone reduces troops HP 35% more or less. What do you think about this ?
Interesting, the question then becomes, is that setup better than other weapons or is it doing what only the LS can do? I wouldn't doubt you having your own fun but I can't say that's a good strat against MaA, Iron Reapers, or any blob of units if you're stuck in a long animation for DPS. Poleaxe might be a better selection, without the healing but with more CC and enemy DMG reduction (which helps with survival and supporting your units) But hey, you be you. Go take prowess and have fun with it.
Class imbalance is also an issue in this game. Too much fan service with some flashier class. Nodachi self-healing, Crowd Control, and Immunity are too much. Remove one aspect like CC. A main slashy sword shouldn't have that much cc. Also, some animations are too much. How tf a light Armour back break a heavy Armour.
i cant take that vid so serious; zoomed in cam , never get on horse. legit bot movement. your math probably right but your gameplay you gotta step up homie
All in Pike player I'd assume? I did cut out all the horse movement parts and cam zoom is a preference, but hey, this was mainly a guide and not a focus on gameplay so I'll just leave it at that.

Are more people playing the game since last year?
definitely
I started playing recently. Which units u suggest for playing with ? I'm just 45 levels which units should i focus to level up ?
You should aim for Man at arms and Iron reapers first, they are relatively easy to get and use. For details, best join: discord.gg/eGy5SCc24P

How you make leadership armor so many?
Time and constant armor making. Only the ones you get high LS do you reforge it. Took me years to get it so high.

What is the class with the highest dmg output?
Longbow has the highest on average while Maul and Nodachi are the ebst melee dps. Duel blades are good if you just use the shurikens.
can you tell us your ideal runes for armor set?
might be something to do with armor xd
Anything with armor stats + dmg reduction on point, simple really
What is the stat distribution?
Try full armor, if you don't like it use hp and atk attribute mix

Good points, I'll need another datasheet with more details on KDA and assist points to get a better picture. But that would be another video.
Longsword damage taken would be a lot more if the heal is counted in on the units and others... :p

Longbow is top dps? How? Quantity over quality I guess
Yep, that is exactly it. Maybe melee have more battle damage, but battles are like 1/3 of the time while LB can attack up to 100% of the time.
