How to MASTER the GRAY HAIR GARRISONS in Conqueror's Blade | The COMPLETE Guide

- Grayhair garrisons are quite good at being a mobile shield wall with a focus on offensive and sustainability under pressure. But what they do best is remain immune to crowd control every time a skill is used with last stand giving up to 5 seconds of immunity.
I cover all their abilities and combo's in the video but here's the short version:
They are a balanced unit weak against palace guards and javelins, but they can win against any other unit frontally if used right although they struggle a bit with breaking blocks of stalwarts. If you want to use them well, make sure your flanks are covered and time your skills to counter any stuns with your crowd control immunity. Against them, try to push with overwhelming force to break their block. Otherwise, flank from the sides or the back to quickly dispatch them.

Very good guide, they are having a special kind of weaknesses which is surrounding. Units like Azaps with their counter, palace guards with their wide formation-charge and top line Imp pikes with doupble hit after advance tend to surround them, which is a death sentence to them
But they block nearly everything head, Its ridiculous.

My favorite unit by far
I have also found their health doctrine a blue health doctrine, their melee doctrine, breakthrough and siege fighters. Is the best combo for them +900 hp and +305 dmg to units
300hp gives around 2.5% more survivability while the 50 defense doctrine provides about 5% more, I recommend it if you have it.
@@AlanApogee while that might be true to other units, remember that they heal over 10% max health, so in this case more health is indeed more survivability
Palace guards are indeed the biggest counter to them since their cc immunity allows them to get in between formation wich is fatal for the grey hair as you mentioned with the inhability to use ability 2
That and because they deal extremely high blunt damage, usually units will get knocked back but the garrisons take the entire thing destroying their block and thus easily crippling them
Can they replace the shield maidens? Great vid keep it up👍
Shield maidens have a very different role being a team support/ buff with shield wall capabilities, they also have extreme mobility for being an infantry unit. Nothing in the game can really replace them right now
@Versel I very well do, I have them maxed out and have been using them in ranked for a while now.
Just tapping the F2 formation to improve charge doesn't work cause you have to wait until they glow red in F2

Just unlocked and haven't maxed out. First match, they killed 89 units. Had another teammate with me who had over 160 kills with this unit. This unit is beastly if the player knows how to use them properly. I ain't running from Berserkers anymore. They run from me now.

I used to be 25/25/50 STR/AGI/ARM, but this season I'm full armor and runes.

has a nodachi ever ult-ed(dragon leap) ur garrison ? If so, then how much dmg does it do to this unit?
None that I can recall, generally you don't want to get close to these units because they can kill you in an instant.
@@AlanApogee dragons leap don't require nodachi to stay close . Just a bit away, and pounces all in. I used nodachi and ult-ed garrison unit But it's difficult to see how much dmg is done due to that zoom-in camera animation during ult-ing.
Dang, I find them very difficult to use - their number one ability puts them too far in front imo. With x I can put them exactly where I want - with the number one they set up but not always where I want (distance from me wise) - thoughts?
Yep, I feel about the same. When you need that 1s of immunity the 1 skill will get you into more trouble than it's worth. So I rely on the 2 skill and use 1 as a fast way to exit a stun and run from combat.
You could always use 1 and set a location you want with x, the immunity is an on skill effect so you'll get the immunity and get to where you want them to be. So you could try that
@@AlanApogee Another thing I have noticed about them is that if you are pursuing someone - they basically are like Palidans - they "crouch" and half walk speed towards the enemy, making it very frustrating if you are trying to catch someone. Great defensive unit - but frustrating in some aspects. Great content btw!
In my experience I would have to disagree with you for their use in fief raids, for me stalwarts way outperform them, but maxed lvls fully doctrines and full honor tree buffs might be what makes the stalwarts better until the greyhairs are maxed
I have both maxed out and I prefer using grayhairs, stalwarts can underpreform against berserkers but grayhairs always out preform them. Shield maidens are still the best though and are my go to
