I've never checked this band out either. A nice fun djent jam for sure. I could definitely listen to more of this band.

Happy you enjoyed the track, anything off the Album 'Drift' might be more up your alley, it's has some softer melodic tracks. I'd recommend Drift, Luminesce, or Skyline. #SharpFunkines!
If you want contrast, check out Erra - The Hypnotist. Its a little older than this so its a different sound, but its just as riffy and has the soft parts that you want but also has a ridiculously effective solo. Highly recommend.
Man I remember when Erra was just a local band, I used to go their shows a lot back in the day. I haven't listened to them in a long time but it's cool to see how far they've come. If you ever revisit Erra, their songs Pulse and Dreamcatcher are really catchy and I can picture you digging them. Also that fast note at the end of the song... whenever you check out the band Car Bomb you'll be hearing a lot of that haha. Especially if you do a song like Dissect Yourself. Car Bomb is probably the closest you can get to Meshuggah without actually listening to Meshuggah.
So... bias: I love this band. I also LOVE this song. This tune gives me so much hope for what the next record is going to sound like. Really glad this one made it across your desk! Jesse Cash (spelling?) is a metal vocalist I really enjoy, his solo work I love (both in other projects and his literal guitar solos). I’m nerding out over here. Time to go listen to this on repeat some more.
These guys are great. On the more technical side of modern Metalcore while still not alienating the main Metalcore audience. The whole drift album is great. Neon was great, the audio engineering on that album got shit on a lot (I mostly agree). Before that was a lot djentier and rhythmic, which if you like, you like, if you don’t, you don’t. They’ve been through so many lead vocalists though. Overall, great band, they don’t really put out anything that I get disappointed in.
I recommend "Deadly Scenes" by 6:33 for a later reaction. It's the last song of their album of the same name and I think it's a good first song to listen as it captures well their style and also uses melodies from the other songs of the album.
Check out a track from Haken's latest album Virus, since the last song you heard was from their debut album. Some of my favourites are Carousel, Invasion and Messiah Complex V: Ectobius Rex

This is on their heavier side for sure. Dementia is an older one that has more movement to it and lots of guitar. And they also just put out House of Glass which has a tool vibe at a few spots. More playing with time and whatnot.
If you wish it had more cleans and softer/ melodic, then u should listen to their older stuff.. Back when they had alan.. This is one of my fav bands ever.. Theyre unbelievable. Andromeda and impulse r my fav albums. Augment is great too.
I notice you do a lot of songs that are heavily requested in the comments. Do you ever do any that are one offs that you see only one person commenting? If so, I'd highly suggest listening to Masochistic Healing by Tethra. Or Eternal Flame. Their really new so I don't see a lot of talk about them, just happened across them in spotify a while back.
I try to get a nice mix of bands but songs are typically the more popular requests. I'm working on a new system to get less popular tracks on the channel.

It's a tremolo picked natural harmonic somewhat "between" the 2nd and 3rd fret on the 5th string. Pretty cool effect.

Safehaven, Dementia, and Ultimata are my faves. They're very dynamic compositions. 15/10 recommend even if you dont necessarily make a reaction video

My favorite record of theirs is Drift. It ebbs and flows very nicely with a lot more moments of ambience. Check out Orchid, Skyline, or Luminescence.
