I grew up with your beautiful music. To this day, when I wake up confused and scared, I just listen to your music and not only is the day better for me, but so is the world. Thank You!
She grew up dirt, dirt poor, they didn't blame anybody, just worked hard, fetched water from the river at the bottom of the hill they lived on & kept at life and living it the best they could. So down to earth and beautiful inside & out.
Love her more than sunshine on the snow . I hope she sees this and maybe writes a song about it. She is my sunshine.miss 😊❤🙏
@@carolwhite9795 I saw it. I'll write a song for you.
One of the single most magnetic personalities of all time, she's more than unique
such an amazing person and performer
Most real entertainer ever. Makes no bones about anything she does. No apologies, in you face and talented beyond belief.
I had an after back stage greet with Dolly and she was surly the “star of the show”, she went out of her way to made me feel special.
That's nice to hear...then again, one feels Dolly would always be so down to earth and sweet to her fans and everyone. You're lucky to have met her. I did see Dolly perform in concert, back in December of 2004 (Everett, Washington)...awesome singer, writer, performer and gives a great concert! Plus, I just love her wit and sense of humor. : )
This was one of her only appearances to promote GREAT BALL OF FIRE (I think she also sang “Sweet Summer Loving” on the Country Music Awards show, shortly after this), as she would shortly start filming “Nine to Five”, and that would keep her very busy well into 1980.
That is what I remember too. I also remember people called into the radio station the next day to comment how much weight she had lost.
So awesome. Thanks for this.
I'm in love with the part where she enters late to the last chorus
9/19/79! Exactly one year after I was born!
Tyvm 4 this. More musical acts, please!
Disco suited dolly, should have had a full album of those sorts of songs.
Dolly Parton is always so delightful. I love the song she composed. She's a wonderful songwriter, and I think it's because you can tell what she says is heartfelt and genuine. Thanks for sharing this episode.
Dolly the country woman 💗
What a epic performance.
Love you
I agree👌🏻 grew up with her music. She is absolutely fantastic. ❤ from 🍁South Africa🦁
Beautiful voice ❤
Please share the Dolly Interview from May 1986 or May 1991!
Hey Rox!! It’s me!!
The instrumental solo on record version features a banjo solo, followed by a flute solo, but this version only featured the banjo solo, which is probably why Dolly missed her cue at 5:55, she probably forgot that this band had no flute, and so she was supposed to come back in after the banjo solo, but she just made a joke out of it, telling the band, "well, at least you did good."
I love that, I think it is so cute that she forgot they weren't doing the second solo
Dolly is anointed
Please show Donna Summer. Would love to see the episode where she sings Mimi’s song.
Even Dolly got sucked into doing a disco song who knew
She did a few. Love 'em all.
Thankfully... she didn't just stay stuck where she was... which was OK, but she can do it all.
She had a lot of disco inspired songs. Heartbreaker has a few of them.
Disco country?
I am 65 years old before I leave from Canada I love to vote for conservatives ( lived in Canada over 4 decades voted for liberals )
Anyone who doesn't like Dolly is Un-American....
That outfit - YIKES! As Dolly herself says, ‘Honey, it takes a lot of money to look this cheap.’
Are they natural?
opening song was awful
HEY, its Commie Parton
Commie Parton? What have I missed?
@@unclefishhook Ray, You have missed nothing. Somebody else has Biden Syndrome: dementia, psychosis, brain damage from drug use---or just hatred of Heartland America. Or, it could simply be a moron.
@@bboucharde LOL...I agree! ;D
