I wonder how similar two paintings with the exact same parameters would actually end up looking in reality. Also, it was trippy to see one of the same servos I used in my robotic arm capstone project in this video. Just found your channel and loving your videos. :)

So very cool! I love how many parameters you made variable.
I would've never have known or guessed you made the scoop variable. Loved that part.
And the art came out pretty cool too. If I had this, I would have to figure out a way to sell the resulting art for at least cost just so I could keep having it make new stuff.
Otherwise I'd go broke the first few days just having it go through paint and canvases until I couldn't buy any more. 😂

4:21 You can't just multiply these. The 1-3 colors parameter makes way more combinations, and makes the calculation a little more complicated, since you then have to sometimes consider some of the parameters multiple times. The same thing is true for the 4-8 throws per canvas.

What kind of paint does your flingbot use? Can it use acrylic paint? How do you keep the paint from drying out and clogging up the valves? And how big of a canvas will it cover? By the way... • @ericanderson7570

The number of possibilities is much greater than stated.
The variation in the number of paint colors used per fling and the number of paint colors is much more than 3 * 12.
The possible contents of the scoop rely on the number of colors chosen and the individual colors. It also depends on the order in which they are chosen due to the way they layer in the scoop.
Assuming you allow the same color to be chosen more than once per fling:
If 1 color: there are 12 possibilities per fling
If 2 colors: 144 possibilities per fling
If 3 colors: 1728 possibilities per fling
So for any one flings, there are 1728+144+12 = 1884 possible unique "scoop contents", not a simple 3x12. So your possible combos goes up by about 52x.
Actually, if you DO allow the same color to be chosen twice or three times, those combinations of adjacent same colors can be removed, since green/green is the same as green/green. But green/blue/green is different from blue/green/green.
If you don't allow consecutive repeats, or you don't allow repeats within a scoop, then that reduces the possibilities per fling....
But I'm at work, in a truck, on a phone and can't do the detals rn.
    But it's a freakin lot!
