Remember when the coyote bought the rocket from ACME and strapped it to his back and then he put on the roller skates and then he lit the rocket? Yeah. That's gonna be the Zora.
I respectfully disagree the base model C8 already does that. In fact the high end C 7's like the Z06 and ZR1 already did that as well, it's been done bro..... With the C8 there is no line it is a super car in every sense of the word.....
Wow! I'm imagining a 1.5 to 1.7 second 0-60 with the Zora. John Lingenfelter back in 1994 made a twin turbo 427 Corvette with a 0-60 at 1.95 seconds and it was front engine RWD with 850 horsepower. No doubt....that's a track car that will absolutely CRUSH a 720S, GT2RS, Bugatti, and anything Lambo has comming.
Awesome news. One thing that looks out of place is the torque number on the Grand Sport. That electric motor will give it more than 100 ft-lbs over stock. Unless they are severely limiting it, which means it shouldn't even be put in the car at all.
@Duke Of Prunes u said it will decimate anything and it wont ... that's if they actually make the car 5 years from now lol Ferrari makes the 1000hp sf90 right now ! No telling what they will make 5 years from now lol
@Duke Of Prunes btw.... the tesla roadster is coming out 2021 .... 0-60 1.9 quarter mile 8.8 ! Price 200k.... 600 miles per charge ! Vettes are nice but other cars will be competitive
Justin, you mentioned that you are guessing that the ZR-1 will NOT be a flat plane crank. Then why is it listed as a 5.5 liter? My guess is that they would increase displacement back up to 6.2L if it was NOT a flat plane crank.

List is cool in theory, but Not sure how they can make a GS better than the ZO6... because although lower in hp by 50, and torque by 100, you’d have to account for the advancement in handling and instant power from a hybrid. The performance/price from a GS has never been that close or potentially better than a ZO6. Something just doesn’t sit right.
Its really the Z06 that excites me. I mean the zora sounds great but by 2025 who knows what the competition will come out with before then. To many years in the future
Sign me up for the ZR1. Just bought the 2019 Z06, so will enjoy that for a while. It looks like the styling will be more palatable for me. A lot better than the new Stingray version. Still don't like the stubby front end.
Yes lots of power, but those hybrid and twin turbo versions are going to weigh a whole lot more as well. Considering that a current well optioned LT2 Z51 is already over 3600 pounds without driver, I'm guessing that a loaded Zora will be over 4000 pounds. :-/
They will. They'll be adding lots of weight in, but they will also go to great lengths to remove some as well through more extensive carbon fiber use etc. Hopefully.

What's your best guess on price of a Zora model? 200-250K with limited production?? ZR1 in the 150-175K range? Just curious, but happy the Z06 is still rumored to be naturally aspirated.
The Zora has been rumored to start at, close to if not right at, 200k for about 8 months now. If it ends up being cheaper than that I'd be surprised. These rumors/leaks are almost always spot on.
Well for the torque number with the given HP: 6.2L+hybrid 600 ft.lbs, N/A 5.5L FPC DOHC 505 ft.lbs, TT 5.5L DOHC 755 ft.lbs. Also a 104mm bore would equal a 383 cu.in. displacement update with 525/530 HP at 6500rpm and up the limiter to 6750rpm.
This car will be naturally aspirated unlike the C7...It is also mid engine meaning it will hookup better and presumably perform better even with a lesser HP rating. Seems more models will be available with the C8...more choices. Lots of people like naturally aspirated and they have the new DOHC as part of that new Z06 package.
the only thing I'm skeptical about is why the torque amount on the c8 grand sport so low 30 ft./lbs. more torque and 100 hp more than the stingray, when the Zora hybrid system is 150 and 150 ft./lbs. torque almost makes no sense weak hybrid motor on the grand sport as far as torque goes and weight is probably the same or slightly more assuming the use of a lot more carbon /magnesium is applied on body panels interior, unstrung wt. etc.

2023 C8 Z06 2024 C8 Grand Sport 2025 C8 ZR1 2026 C8 ZORA.... With all that happened Jason I'm pretty sure GM is pushing everything back a year...so if C8 Z06 is coming 2023...then the rest follows after that
Great upload Justin. I found it a bit hard to believe that GM would do away with GS in that it's been such a money-maker in the C6 and C7 generations. Having said that, I did view it as possibility that GM would not bring the GS out within one year of the release of the ZO6 like they did with the C7 and only one year after GM released the C6 ZR1. The GS release in the C6 generation just about did away ZO6 sales from that point on. Anyway, if you want to play around with numerology a bit, bringing out the C8 GS in 2023 is interesting in that in 1963 Zora launched the GS program, so maybe the C8 will get the moniker of "Commemorative Edition." Who knows? For now all we can do is stay tuned. Save the Wave🙋🏼♂️
Aloha, maybe you could help me out, I am looking for the ZZ3 Under Hood Accessory Light Part #: Maybe you could look at yours and see if there is a part number stamped on it. It would be greatly appreciated. Aloha, Mark
You 2 are my new favorite people! Exactly my thoughts! I LOVE my C7 ZR1 with the manual transmission. I will keep it forever! It's such a blast to drive (and to look at)
If the rendering of the Black Zora is just like that rolling off of GM’s assembly line . I’ll just say this it’s going to be monumental to say the least.and not for nothing all else matters but it doesn’t matter when if that Black Zora looks just like this sheeesh 🤦🏽♂️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I really wish they would make the higher performance models just normal coupes, without the removal top. Removal top probably means a trunk/storage area and I don't want or need that in a higher performance sports car.
Again, the Z06 info is clearly incorrect. If naturally aspirated, 600lb-ft (109lb-ft per liter) of torque is not possible. Try to find another naturally aspirated production engine with that specific output - you won't. The highest output N/A Porsche and Ferrari engines max out around 85lb-ft per liter (GT3 and 458), running very high compression numbers. Also, I question the Grand Sport numbers. They're going to add electric assist to the LT2 and pick up ~110hp, but only ~35lb-ft of torque? Also unlikely. Electric motors generate big torque at low rpm. To boost HP by 110 at the LT2's current 6,400 power peak, would require an increase of 87lb-ft of torque at that rpm (simple torque-to-hp equation). But then the electric motors only add ~35lb-ft of torque at the lower rpm torque peak? I don't buy it. If it's a 600hp hybrid, it's making at least 600lb-ft of torque. When I see data that makes no sense from an engineering perspective, why would I believe anything else from the same source?
This is great news, except being pushed back. Hope the GS steering feel isn't affected by the front electric motor. I have to really shop the Z06 & GS.
The fact that the z06 will not be boosted is pretty much the biggest let down ever! ESP since I live at high elevation and NA cars get choked bad up here 💔💔💔
AloisBlazit 005 If I’m not mistaken the huracan has a 5.2L V10 engine. If you’re raising the displacement to 5.5L along with high flowing cylinder heads and aggressive camshafts (GMs calling card) that amount of power and torque is is possible with the current technology. Keep in mind European cars are not built with the high torque philosophy with the exception of the Germans. They are similar to American builds.
Cool video man. Be nice to have some 0-60 est times and 1/4 mile next to those. I do wonder how do they make a Zora Racer 1 ZR1 and then a Zora seems redundant to me. I’m happy with my ZR1 for now 👍
850hp. So basically they've decided to do what everybody else has already done DOHC.. 850hp. Is sweet and that ZORA,.. uhh we'll see I don't see it happening,.. if it does well it will be a amazing car.. hybrid tech.. McLaren, Porsche, and even Ferrari have used it so, yes it won't be as well made just check the panel gap on a corvette but hey look at bang for the buck can't beat it!! Can't wait to see!! the aftermarket renderings look amazing.. keep digging for info.. great car for the money IMO
Would love to see a Z06 with a naturally aspirated Engine, but that torque figure of 600 ft pounds seems to high for that. A hybrid set up would get you there, but with a serious weight and cost penalty. A supercharger would enable GM to separate it from a ZR1 with twin Turbos.
I wonder if they're going to do scissor doors are any of the new models I noticed if you try to install like some Lambo doors on the vet there's that vent induction where the door handles at and I don't know if the door can come straight up The way it is placed but I haven't got a Hands-On look at the new C8 yet
finally you getting it! Here are some parts you should look at. Historic that Zora made a 1000HP all wheel drive and wished it big time. he also made a few others that had some really interesting options. But the concept to show tradition in Chevrolet brands will also see a few more things to catch the brands history. See 1911 was it's birth. 2021 is 110 years of the brand. so special editions Corvettes and trucks will have a special paint color and badges. but that said, I bet you will see a very limited run of 60-70 Zoras in 2023. Omage car Cerv 1 colors might even be the race colors. of that year. but all that said. you can also add that the door of the Zora might open differently. Corvette INDY..... Call it the next car. but only the top car gets it.
@@HorsePowerObsessed . It makes know sense. Performance hybrids are all about low and mid range mammoths amounts of torque. The 495 hp C8 is a beast until 90 mph, that's where it starts getting overtaken by the 600 plus hp supers. . This car if it comes out, I'm hoping for 575 hp and 575 lbs of foot torque. Add carbon ceramic brakes and carbon fiber wheels an active areo. If this car ever happens, i will buy it
Hope that schedule moves up by a year or so . Likely skip over the Z06 if it’s NA and go for the Zr1 as the Zora likely will be way way up there in price . Other option might be to twin turbo the Z06 with aftermarket . And looks like probably he hanging on to my current Z06 for awhile as still prefer non NA and did have a C6 Z06 . Oh and think Gm will be open again by June or July . Can’t really see much longer shutdown and most all the other automakers do plan to restart in month or two if not sooner .

The truth is every C8 that will be built has been built. GM/GMAC numbers are absolutely hopeless. GM is bankrupt, again, but this time there is zero auto demand around which to restructure. The government has utterly decimated the auto industry. Oil prices reflect this reality. If you have a penny jar, take out 1 penny, it buys all the oil in the world plus $39 in change x 100M barrels, per day. If you can find a way to dispose of it.
Great info as usual J. Don't know why we would even need the GS variant 🤔 Seems to be unnecessary with the Z06, ZR1 and Zora on the horizon. Can't wait to see any one of these bad boys !!!! Thanks man. 😉👍
This is the third site I've seen touting the same information. Actually the one I saw earlier presented this data but gave you a shout or an attribute. This type of news and speculation will have to do until customers get a chance to option their own C8's, the convertibles get going; the line gets going and GM must decided if it wants to stop being "behind," all the time by ignoring the traditional release date for the next Model Year, right around August 1, 2020. Until the, "present," is brought back to bear upon reality we will thank you for posting this information. I am still crediting Kai with hinting that the number of remaining line build days left for 2020 models is unknown, but the discussion with all the points discussed on all the forums regarding how many 2020 C8's will be built before the company corrects any problems found on customer cars and puts the 2021 shifts on the line, read to go at teh BGA plant. PS: I predicted some weeks ago, that regardless of what is going on, it is possible that some continuation VINS might be preserved for continuation release later. Also, the most efficient way to clear the line will be to build the cars that were stuck on the line when the factory was shut down. When dealing withe the competition, both foreign and domestic, from a business model, Cheverolet likely will consider that the other Supercar manufacturers will likely stick to their proper factory build dates. Last item: It is hoped that UAW while protecting their members, will at some point in the future not attempt to call, "strategic strikes that interfere with General Motors turning out their most important cars on the build line. The Double Whammy this year, though not anticipated, in deed happened. Thus Chevrolet had additional scrambling this year that it did not need. So many people dying totally attests to that. You just never know when something will rear its ugly head. And this year for both America and ROW has really been very ugly. The silver linings have been difficult to find. AF

Dont have the time to watch this vudeo, so if this does end up being what happens, ignore me. I'd like to see a "ZORA track" with electric KERS in the front with the battery taking up the 'frunk', 250HP+ electric. Added bennifit is better than average gas mileage, but also, ASYNC AWD and instant torque, and ability to limp along from changing station to charging station if the engine/trans goes out in the case of an emergency. Heck, replace that removable top with a solar charging top, and you might be able to limp along without power steering/brakes at 5MPH. you might get an added 0.2-0.8MPG on the highway(but better if you dont drive it all day and let it charge while not driving)
I really like the C8 Corvette, but those renderings look like the taste of a 17 year old kid. You can have too many louvers and scoops. White letter tires, chrome paint, and black wheels, have jumped the shark like flat black or satin paint. The Silver Zora depicted is perfect though.

2025 C8 ZR1
2026 C8 ZORA....
Thanks, Peter! I wasn't real sure it could be accurate either, but I'm just following the rumors!
Aloha, maybe you could help me out, I am looking for the ZZ3 Under Hood Accessory Light Part #: Maybe you could look at yours and see if there is a part number stamped on it. It would be greatly appreciated. Aloha, Mark
Unfortunately, I don't have mine yet. It will be built almost immediately after the plant reopens.
Corvette has been a hyper car since 2009 zr1. 2015 z06 beats some hyper cars. (Unless my def of hyper car is wrong)
Will they be beefing up the transmission to handle the stress of that kind of horsepower?
Rumors state an 8 speed DCT so it could be beefed up
WOW I hope this is true. The Zora will probably be very limited to maybe 250 to 500 cars.
Yeah them numbers seem a bit too big to be just a normal thing.
Agreed.
Wow I’m a big fan of the c7 but idk the one I would pick c7 zr1 or c8 zr1? But I think I would go for a c7 but wow that’s a nice car!
BaSsMaStEr 24 ya , a C7 ZR1 with a manual!
You 2 are my new favorite people! Exactly my thoughts! I LOVE my C7 ZR1 with the manual transmission. I will keep it forever! It's such a blast to drive (and to look at)
Yep, I need that FP Z06 with as much HP/TQ that they can give me without TT
Yes
I cant wait any longer 😩 omg hurry up 2022!!!
I WANTMY ZO6
If the rendering of the Black Zora is just like that rolling off of GM’s assembly line . I’ll just say this it’s going to be monumental to say the least.and not for nothing all else matters but it doesn’t matter when if that Black Zora looks just like this sheeesh 🤦🏽♂️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Am wondering if the releases on that chart will be off by a year due to this stupid virus 🤔
It's already delayed it... Could be even longer depending.
@@HorsePowerObsessed thats really going to sux
Cool. Just imagine a Corvette Zora..it will be a hyper car.
Easily a hyper car!
I really wish they would make the higher performance models just normal coupes, without the removal top. Removal top probably means a trunk/storage area and I don't want or need that in a higher performance sports car.
On another document I saw the Grand Sport had 510hp/490ftlbs of torque.. I SERIOUSLY doubt the GS will have 600hp..
I said the same thing. The Grand Sport being on this list at all makes me doubt it's validity.
@@HorsePowerObsessed You doubt the validity of the list because of the Grand Sport inclusion?
How much do you think the Zora will be
Rumor says it could start at $180k+
Kenneth Reilly not correct. The engine powering the Ariel Atom has a specific output of over 160 hp/L.
@@RH-xs8gz He's talking torque. The Ariel Atom V8 makes 95 ftlb/liter which is insanely high. There's no way the Z06 makes over 100.
EXCITED 😁😲💥💯
Agreed!
Hell, I still haven’t received my ordered 2020 stingray yet!
Me neither!
Same here stuck at 3000 .
What color are u getting
Red or black 😎
As of now z51 are in the 35k. Best ever time to buy a f35 looking c7 corvette.
Keep up your good job! Love your video 😍😍😍
Thank you! Will do!
This is great news, except being pushed back.
Hope the GS steering feel isn't affected by the front electric motor.
I have to really shop the Z06 & GS.
So how come the hybrid system adds 150 HP on the Zora but not on the GS? I feel the GS will have more torque and HP due to that hybrid powertrain.
Zoraaaa!💪🏼🙌🏼👑🤤🌎
600ft/lbs from an n/a 5.5L FPC OHC engine? Whatever you're smoking , I'd love to buy some.
I thought the same thing but these numbers aren't from me...
Let's buy all the c7 first. When the c8 come We already pay off the c7. We then buy the c8.
And this is why I subscribe to this channel! Keep up the good work man!
Thanks, man!
Should be called the Bugatti chaser both looks and preformance .
Welp, looks like I’ll be waiting for the Grandsport!! Thanks for the video!
You're welcome!
Why so much less power from the 6.2?
The fact that the z06 will not be boosted is pretty much the biggest let down ever! ESP since I live at high elevation and NA cars get choked bad up here 💔💔💔
Then you wait for the ZR1...more choices this time.
How can a naturally aspirated engine have that much and torque in the z06. A similarly sized engine in the huracan only makes like 450 lb ft
They are similar to American builds.
there's no way that electric motor will only put out 30 ft lbs. They're downplaying torque numbers.
Is the new mid engine C8 lineup getting attention from a younger audience?
Great video!!
Thank you!
You guy wants the batmoble, then buy the c7 now. Great time.
Big problem Hell they can't get out the ones that were paid for
Stephen Meade who prepaid ? Are you referring to the refundable slowly morphing to non refundable DEPOSIT?
Would love to see a Z06 with a naturally aspirated Engine, but that torque figure of 600 ft pounds seems to high for that. A hybrid set up would get you there, but with a serious weight and cost penalty. A supercharger would enable GM to separate it from a ZR1 with twin Turbos.
I’m sorry but I believe that will bring a lot of fun but even more competition
I wonder if they're going to do scissor doors are any of the new models I noticed if you try to install like some Lambo doors on the vet there's that vent induction where the door handles at and I don't know if the door can come straight up The way it is placed but I haven't got a Hands-On look at the new C8 yet
Since you leaked it ! Your HIRED ! I just subscribe! 😂
Why thank you! 👍👍
The ZR1 will be a flat plane ;)
finally you getting it!
825ftlbs of torque on the ZR1!!! Mind blowing on this chassis.
Agreed! It's going to be a beast!
How can the hybrid only have 35 more lbs of foot torque?
Probably a smaller unit or purposely detuned.
Bit this leaked stuff does make sense and likely is true .
Oh and think Gm will be open again by June or July . Can’t really see much longer shutdown and most all the other automakers do plan to restart in month or two if not sooner .
My dream for the z06 is to have at least 655-660hp just even 5 more hp in my opinion well in the dictionary for me well be redefining the c8 z06
Meh. Just buy a lightly used C7 Z06 for $65k and squash everything on this list except for the ZR1. The world could end before any of these car’s gets released. Live for today.
imagine how much further along they would hv been if they'd listen to Mr Zora, how sweet they aint gotta PAY him residuals from design now...............
Coulda swore C6 ZR1 came out before C6 GS.
JJSmith Lago yes 09 for ZR1 2012 GS
Chevrolet has a lot more ventilators to make first my friend...
We got plenty...they over projected...what else is new.
Hmmmm...how 'bout Z06 w/AWD -- YES !!!
The c8 Corvette in a nutshell
Thanks man. 😉👍
Thanks, JT! I'm not real sure either, but as of now this is just a rumor so we'll see!
Good point doesn't make sense
Unlike last gen, the Z06 sounds like the car to get, if these leaks are to be believed.
AF
Do you remember which one it was that gave me a shout out?
Bravo Chevy! I would love to have 2 of the MOST ICONIC, AMERICAN sports cars in my garage (GT350 and the Flat Crank Z06) :)
Great video.... definitely interested in the Z06 model . I don’t mind it taking a little longer to come out . I’ll enjoy my 2019 Z06 while I’m waiting to get one 😊🇺🇸
Thank you!
Naw it looks good and it’s all functional and creates down force .
Those designs are just some artists wishful thinking. Most are more aftermarket that reality.
