  • Back in the day, got a $50. Jeep that was ragged out to the max. What to do with it, I have a friend with a gold wing that he wants to sell. Lets see if it will fit and work. Tricky part was scratch building a transfer box to go from the Wing to the Jeep transmission, so as to keep 4 X 4 and reverse. (All 10 gears of reverse and 30 forward gears) have logged over 10,000 miles on this setup over the years. Built for sand trail riding. Lots of Fun!!!
The M38 Jeep was built for war production for the years 1950 to 1952. For the Korean conflict. It was used to push those Rice Bass Tard's past the 38th Parallel back to North Korea. This Jeep most likely was not sent over as it wouldn't have came back.
For you the purist, it is still a Jeep and can be converted back to stock by removing six bolts and removing the Goldwing engine and transfer case as one unit. But its soooo much fun this way...

In the video I said. I had a Jeep when I was 16 or so and it was too damn slow. Couldn’t chg gear ratio. So thought higher rpm motor. Going down interstate one day at 70 mph. Got passed by a goldwing with two heavy duty peeps a side car and a trailer.
Voilà goldwing engine in a Jeep. Finished the project in 1991 have over 10k miles on build with no issues. Thx 4 watching.
