I saw them live in 1967,at the University of Michigan, and they were unbelievable and great... I am 76 years old, and I just woke up, don't you understand, that a great concert mesmerized and hypnotized me for 56 years!!! Wow, what a concert from the best damn band of all time. Thanks, Mr.Morrison 🎉❤
Love this!
Grali fantastycznego rocka.Wnieśli wjelki wkład w esej muzyczny .Brawo Drzwi !!!
You're old and your skin is cold.) Me too.)
I’m 72 years old and I remember buying my first stereo records from this band, oh great data don’t you think?
I got into the doors thanks to my dad when I was in middle school back in 2002 and have listened to them ever since. Now that my father passed away Christmas eve 2022 coming back to the doors music makes me feel like my father is still with me.
What an exceptional dad you had. Great taste in music. Sorry for your loss. I lost my mom in 2023, she didn't like music much, but some where in my gene pool, I got a love for all things musical 😊
This performance is one of a kind! No one could ever duplicate what this is and never will
Lucky enough to see them twice. For me - they were the most iconic band of the era - no one else touched them.
to this day
And still dont
YOU LUCKY EFF.BASTERT
One of the great live bands - way ahead of their time
THE DOORS ARE A ONE OF A KIND BAND! Jim Morrison was a Radical Dude. It’s 2023 and I still get Blown Away Listening to The Doors….
!

LED ZEPPELIN
GREATEST BAND IN THE WORLD

Incredible how the musicians managed to create the perfect music to Jims lyrics. The lyrics came first.❤ Great band totally unique

thank you .. Incredible concert ..
Fucking amazing. This isn’t rock and roll, it’s theatre. The musicianship is fantastic, but the drama and imagery are beyond any rock band. Jim was the quintessential artist star. Nothing compares, and when they are playing the rest of the world fades into the background.
I think of it as psychodelic rock, blues and everything great that other bands weren't doing!!! I was a young teen so never got to go to a concert of theirs 😢
Absolutely spot on! Took the words out of my mouth.
One of the all time great bands. Period.
Two musical geniuses, a percussionist and a very special poet warrior
Aquí no se aprecia pero tocaron tb Hello I love you. El sonido del micro no se escuchó tampoco en when the music is over.
One of the best things that's ever happened to me is hearing the Doors (on a cassette!) when I was a kid. The music, the poetry, Jim himself, Ray's, Robby's, and John's musical geniuses have stayed in my life forever. Thank you for sharing this treasure!
The same with me. I was a young Bulgarian kid. I was going through my 5 y older sisters bootleg tapes when I heard the Doors for the first time. I was 10 or something. Right after the Berlin wall fell. It changed my life. I basically learned English from Jim's poetry.
@@boyanbc Twinsies: it was my 4 year older brother who introduced me to the Doors (and Nirvana, but that's a whole nother thing), and I'm forever grateful that he did.
😢
I saw The Doors in Moscow in 2010. How? Manzarek and Krieger came and played in person, and they brought some young guy, looking and singing just as Morrison.
Unbelievable impression, just as you hear The Doors back then.
I must say, here in Russia in 60's to 80's all the rock music was coming to us like a light from a distant star. No concerts, no records, Iron Curtain only. So in 2010, I was riding a time machine listening to The Doors.
I remember reading somewhere that Morrison and another band member wishing someday to tour in Russia (and China too) and talked about it. Too bad for all of us that performance couldn't be realized and then later of course impossible.
Awesome. ❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Funny how the 60s happened for us 20 years later complete with deaths of 3 rock stars and a murder of one freedom-fighting priest
Did you ever notice no other band in rock ever sounded anything like this band!??
Totally original incredible music, musicianship and the greatest front man ever.
You said it all dear friend.
Nobody has or will sound like the Doors. Their music is timeless also
What I did notice was that I could hear a bass playing but could not see a bass player. Just keyboards, guitar, drums and singer. Had to be an invisible bass player!
@martycarrizales9055 The bass is played by Ray as well as the main keyboards. He is playing a bass organ I think.
Greatest, most dangerous frontman in music history.....and I tell you this no eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn!
I LOVE IT!!! I was only 2 yrs. old at the time of this. Making up for lost time with these guys since I was a kid in the 1970's. Thanks for this, man. This is soooo groovey, man. Peace, Fam. Later.
Jim Morrison spoke the truth to our generation.
We all Fell in love with them when we were teenagers and then as adults , I am 43, watching this . We can see that we have always been right : they were genius!!!!!! It is simply ART much more than just a band...I thank God I love Rock N Roll
Y yo te amo a tí hermana
@@jairopadilla7387 I say the same about the RATONES PARANOICOS SOY PARANOICA TOTALLLLLL
You lucky to have that experience. I am 71. Was always working. Saving up for college. My husband saw all the great 60s and early 70s bands. He got scholarships. I ❤ hearing his stories and people like you who Lived Life Large 🎶🎼🎵🎤
No worries you get to be there now with out the crowd much better❤
Jim, not only a great writer
. Brilliant.
Mojo Risen / Jim Morrison/ you know it Jim I think ? Lol
Yes. He's God of Rock n roll
Took my 1st trip with Morrison, he was a real gentleman
My favorite doors song.....ah those were the days.......
💯✔
Doors fan since the "60's"
Remember the sign in Paris on the news and in Rolling Stone magazine, "Morrison Lives!" ? (in the 80's)
Decades ago I had heard that John Travolta considered or was being considered as the new solo singer for The Doors, at about the time of Saturday Night Fever!
As much as I liked him in that movie, I couldn’t see him following in the footsteps of Mr. Mojo Risin’, no way, no how!!
Doors fan since 1990 after listening to their debut album.
Oh memories from '68 at the university. Vietnam protests. Strikes. At the library until midnight studying like heck. Saturday parties with some of these songs. My oh my, what a treat. Gracias para esto. Mesmerizing. The subtitles are spot on. Wow, memories. Epic epic epic. Have been to Jim Morrison's grave here in Paris at the Pere La Chaise cemetery. Humbling. Such a shame he's not still with us. Merci for this concert.
Pure magic, it's like watching a beautiful dream...
MICK JAGGER was at this gig he actually called the show "boring" if you can comprehend that. i'm L.A. born and raised but i was only 2 1/2 months old when this was filmed. i can't complain i've both played and been to thousands of great gigs in my time but what i would give fer a time machine......
mick jagger can go F himself.. and I'm the biggest stones fan ever. the doors rule.
Before the show Mick came to talk to Jim about what to do playing these bigger venues where the stages are bigger, like how to use the space, to dance and whatnot....And while Jim was on for this show, I would say it was a pretty subdued performance as far as him dancing/engaging the audience. But I mean Jim was never gonna be like Jagger running around on stage and dancing the entire set. The Stones weren't immune to these "subdued" type performances, Rock and Roll Circus comes to mind
@@scottwilson1251On ne peut pas comparer Jim à Mick. Ils sont diamétralement opposés.
They played at San Diego city college where I went 1968. Was incredible.
They don't have songs. They have living entities that walk amoung us.
Been a Doors fan since the 80s in high school but thanks to Utube, I Actually appreciated their live material above studio.
What a concert! I spent the summer of 1967 singing all the songs on their first record, Break on Through! Thank you.
That first guitar solo on the first song is mental, I love it😊
Ray said Jim had secretly dropped acid right before he took the stage.....explains everything. And this imo is the best recorded concert in their career.
he probably did do acid,,, however he looks smacked out of his scone to me. his eyes are a dead giveaway,, also effects the voice,, however its been mastered to somewhat hide it.
Is it true that Heroin and LSD have almost the same chemical structure?
@@glasses9995No how would that even be remotely true. One is an opiate derived from the poppy plant and the other a manmade psychedelic.
@@ressurectionmanJim didnt use opiates like that, I highly doubt he was on smack in this.
You are correct you cant compare those drugs.
But the chemical LSD is found in the mushroom "Mutterkorn" (srY im german) its not man made@@scottwilson1251
So dark, So Moody. Glad I came for this rock symphony. Came for the Spanish Caravan refresher and stayed for this The End.Never saw them live in concert , but their albums held a special section in my collection. They are so mezmerising. Great respect for a great band!
The lizard king is high as a kite , and still is the best front man ever hands down!!!!!
Jim was cruising on a great trip this night.
I grew up in LA but wasn't born until 1965 & it makes me SO sad that I missed this era! Jim Morrison is HOT! So sad I never got to see him live!
Alucinante
I only hace 50 but i love him❤
My first time was with Riders on they storm and i got inloved.
i saw them at the garden--absolutely live---i am so lucky i got to see them
I saw them at the Garden of Eden 🐍😈
the night Jim yelled "shut up?" - the girl in the recording says right after in a girl scream at a pitch so high, dogs are screaming "omg, that was perfect". I listened to that song for 30 years before I understood what she said.. I'm slow, I guess.. but man, it's hysterical.
yup, at one point it got almost scary, like he could possibly hurt himself or us or band members--then he said he's sittin on the fence, a long long pause, over a minute, then he bellows out 'and my balls hurt'--the crowd went crazy--not on the record i dont think@@user-nh5cr1mh2l
Outstanding. These guys are all so talented. They fit together perfectly
You must be as fucked- up as this band was! 😂
Jim puts more passion in every performance than anyone else can come close to. The Doors are the ultimate rock band and Jim is the master shaman.
Blessyou for this gem ❤❤❤
Gran tesoro musical!
Notice busted bass drum in background!!! When I knew jamesie he was more drummer and reluctantly shy vocalist than lead singer...love you forever jamesie gosh you have always lit my fire baby dead or alive!
The best looking frontman in the 60s and still.
Nobody could scream like Jim.
Always wondered how my family and friends will react when this song gets played at my funeral 😅
😂😂😂😂😂
You and me both
I saw this at the movie theater a few years ago wishing I could have teleported into the movie and saw them live in person 😔 and I probably wouldn't have come back to this world as it is today 😢 RIP Jim and Ray 🙏🏻🌹🕊️❤️❤️
I saw Ray and Robby 20 years ago at The National Stadium in Chile, theirs last track of the night it was Moonlight Drive, and that night we had the biggest full moon over our heads, it was magical, I went with my best friend and we were crying, the best day of my life.
Scream of the butterfly 🦋
Have sweet childhood memory the doors right before they got famous played a twins 18 birthday party in the little town of Washington. I was six it was my sisters friends they smeared paint on me and I danced on porch where they played memories are funny I can still see little sun suit I was wearing in
66 😊I was told when I was 12 it was the doors
I've been a DOORS fan, since 1966...I was a freshman in high school..❤
Ten years this has been on here. Crazy!!! There should be a million hits by now. The best stuff on UA-cam have not seen. What will happen when people will wake up and see what was there all along☺️
I was there with my baby mama's Uncle. We were nerds back then.
Great live from the great band..
Thanks for sharing...
I can't stay away from this music!...it's definitely the best!!!!I still dream of that time...my eternal youth!!! ❤❤❤
In his prime I was 15 years old this was one of my 1st albums
EVER GET THE

Robby's raw, atonal solo in When the Music's Over is unreal!
Thankfully, Born in 1960 I never had ta go to Vietnam..to me the Doors came home with guys from Vietnam in 1973 along with some Awesome weed. lol being a kid late 60s, teen early 70s was a great time ta be a kid. And saying who was the best band, I could never say. But the Doors are definitely in the top 10.
Sex, drugs and Rock n Roll ✌
Love it
Discovered the Doors at 13 back in 1979 ...loved them ever since.
He was already bored. With his own lyrics! Some boys you just can't fuck with. Great band. Jim was always gonna die. Hope he found the answer to the question.
Their utter strength is so uplifting.
At the end of the day, I always go to
The Doors.
atemporal
No one gives a better performance than Jim.

Groovy! We love you Jim 😘 ❤
56 ANS plus tard, on ne s'en lasse pas.
This was one of my favorite songs
At that time. My
Friend and I played it all the time. Silly little girls in love with
J.Morrison
Maybe not the Greatest poet, but Jim Morrison a definite intellectual, easily evident in 1970 audio interview when 26... and on youtube. The Doors were many young people's first exposure to Freud Oedipus complex, Frederich Nietzche ubermensch (superman), poetry of William Blake..where name came from "doors of perception".. Aldous Huxley. Rock bands just Didn't do the Whisky Bar from 1930s opera City of Mahogany ( Bertold Brecht big deal in 1920s pre-Nazi Germany.) And you don't get a radio hit with 11 minute The End. To The Doors, ART was everything
An ol friend Loved Yhe Doors memories still linger so meny years ago so I may never forget ehen i heard thes great songs
