In this video, I'll be discussing how I got rejected in TCS Digital and then selected by Amazon.
I'll be also sharing my views on which type of companies you should prefer if you are interested in the coding or the development field.

Let me share a Technical Round panelist's perspective. I'm an I.T. Analyst from TCS and I was in the TR panel this year for March interview.
• we have 3 pages to fill in the TCS ultimatix portal each for TR, MR and HR panelist, so it's a lot of work for us!
• we have to rate each interview session on their software knowledge, final year project, behavioral aspect, determination to learn-&-unlearn , project deployability and most importantly soft skills (Communication, Confidence and Clarity of thought)
• ILP in our time was a fun trip (during 2015-16) and we enjoyed a lot vacationing in other cities (mine was in Trivandrum, other friends did their ILP from Chennai, Gujarat etc) fully paid by TCS, I feel sad that kids these days have to do ILP from home :(
•. Having worked on Middleware tower for 5 years, I myself don't remember much programming, so I look up questions on the day of the interview to ask the candidates. So most times, I don't know if they are telling the right answer or wrong answer. So I look if they are saying confidently. And I see if they can quickly learn and pick up things. Basically I check how smart they are. Paraku ratta maarne walon ko main reject Kar deta hoon if they only have bookish knowledge and can't be smart enough to implement a concept.
• we are tired of hearing your marks, percentage, college name in intro. Plz tell us what project you did and what make you different. Then we will be forced to ask questions in that direction. Otherwise we will just ask programming questions. So it's YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to make us ask you questions in fields you are comfortable in.
Last note: in TCS we are under huge pressure from TAG (talent acquisition group) to hire 70% of all candidates. We have been strictly instructed NOT TO ask tough questions and to try to select 7/10 candidates who appear for interview. TCS has a very good ILP training program, so we can train even the dumbest kid to work and make profit for us. But if we don't hire kids, then that's a huge economic loss and TCS invested a lot to conduct these interviews. 2020 was dry spell as we could only do 2 drives. Normally there are 8 drives every year. So our pipeline has dried up, and WE IMMIDIATELY NEED LOTS OF NEW RESOURCES. Soon we will cross 5lac employee strength.
All the best to all hopeful candidates. If I happen to take your interview, I'm sure you will find it a very easy technical round.

I solved both coding questions and my apti section went fire too in my TCS NQT. When I clicked submit button with a fair surety I will be called for Digital interview, I got slapped with a 502 Bad Gateway. Need to apply to some other company now lmao.

Same happened with me,I got rejected in TCSDigital and got selected in AMAZON.in TCS digital person asked me a question and i gave optimized working solution and he said "dint try to bluf me".I said "i m not blufing,u r not in a situation to understand my solution based on SEGMENT TREE bolke".He said " you can leave now".

Agar ladki hi key factor hota toh fr digital ma bi araam se ho jata. Selection criteria in both the companies were different. And she had prepared more for amazon that's why she got selected. More over female get more opportunities than boys but that does mean ki kisi ka bhi ho jygha.

Genuinely, expecting a solid base on 10 technologies by a college pass out is a joke and companies following such a pattern are just losing out on good candidates. I have known people scratching through google for two days on a topic theoretically without an implementational idea and claiming to know it. It’s only and always fair to expect knowledge in 1-2 tech stack of interest and assess based on the the work and depth of understanding on those topics.

Didi please help kardo .mei vscode and mingw download kar chuka hu but mera hello world ke program ka output nahi a raha kuch mingw .exe type error a raha h. Didi bahut pareshan ho gaya hu pahla program hi nahi bana ab tak vscode and mingw delete karke dobara download kiya fir bhi hello world output nahi a raha.

I have started coding and giving different contests on codechef and practicing on hackerrank since my 1st year. And now started on codeforces too .Just practicing on gfg and other websites for DSA enough or I should extensively lean down in CP. Di I really want a little help from you that can u please tell how muchh advanced level should I go in Coding like in codeforces there are various categories..like expert, specialist like how muchh is necessary..? I am really confused...
You should do problems on sites like codechef , codeforces ,as they will help you clear your first round.
If you are capable of doing 3-4 questions in codeforces contest everytime, it's good.

The reason behind rejection is that they hire on the basis of theoretical knowledge not on the coding skill that you posses.

Bhai ninja me jo select hue hai wo please mat join karna (dil se kah raha hun)
1)they don't have project except for Support, maintenance (1% chance that you will get dev)
2)non-tech decides which project you get
3)LIE is everywhere.(they will say dev project in order to lure freshers)
4)very low salary
5)Bench policy (means without project,might be for a year) you might get into depression.

Hay Didi.I passes out in August 2019. I got my first job as Software Trainee. And due to some reasons, I cant join that company. After a time that I remain not well for 2 months. And I decide to go to Bangalore for finding a job in March. And now due to corona, all the hirings have been gone down. But I learn various programming languages like Python, AWS Fundamentals, Javascript, CSS, HTML, Git in the lockdown period. Now I wanted to know what are many chances of getting a job as I am 2019 pass out.And the current year is 2020. I also did an internship as a Front End Developer Intern.
Dii can you discuss with us what were the questions in your TRs and how far will the difficulty level will go in TRs of tech giants......... it'll really helpful for us who are in there 2 year or first.......it will give a thorough knowledge about how and what do we have to study...... please make a video on this topic.......
