Thank you so very much for sharing your shelling experiences! Being home bound disabled, I no longer get to go to the beach, so I truly enjoy and appreciate these virtual trips.
I once knew a man who installed an entire wall sized slab of stone which was black and all throughout that stone were fossilized squid !. He let me have some chips. Sooooo neat- 0 P.S. they were hired to put it into an office complex. My folks and I were Rock Hounds together. I love fossils, too. Dad loved arrowheads and Mom loved perfectly round rocks. We used to get baseball sized Desert Rose rocks.
This was a truly special trip for me! My goddaughter has been sick for a very long time, and I promised her a week in SWFL when she got better - her, her sister, my daughter, her mom(my bff) and me for a whole week. Well, on Friday night, my little mermaid went to sleep on this side and woke up in the arms of Jesus. She’d lov watching your videos. Thank you so much.❤
My daughter and her boyfriend went to honeymoon island today! I wouldn't have known about this shelling spot except I watch your channel:) my daughter was visiting Tampa for a few days and I told her that she had to go out to honeymoon island. She absolutely loved it! I haven't gotten to see her treasures yet but she did tell me that she found some cool stuff. Thanks SWF beach friend ❤
WHAT an absolutely lovely beach walk; so many amazing treasures! This might've been my favorite walk of ALL of yours! 😱You found so many different things on this walk; the cool sea whip, I do love those. I really am fascinated by the "mermaid coin" chestnut turban operculums also; I would've been picking up oodles of them myself! And the variety of the turbans is so gorgeous, I agree. Such a beautiful spot to take those of us from up north, on a much-needed break from late winter. I love the sea stars; have never found those. The laughing gulls added the icing on the cake for me; I could just close my eyes & wish myself there. This was such a spectacular walk & Beach Time. I give this walk a Beach Oscar! 💛
The sun dials and yellow scallops, to cool! Thought your coral was one of those empty barnacles. Appreciate the closer up view. Could see. Awesome, thanks! ❤️🐚❤️
I think that was probably the best couple of videos you’ve posted in awhile. There is just so much joy and excitement in your voice and I bet you’re still dreaming of the day you spent on Honeymoon Island, lol. Absolutely fabulous shell haul!
*** YAY A SPONSOR!!! *** congratulations I never sit and just walk…lol but a good umbrella is a must for those who like to sit and read and watch their kids ect.
Oh baby !. Lucky ducky !. I have a few. I can't do beach. Boo Hoo. Oh well, I'm lovin what I've got in Holden, M0. I have a sand dollar I wish someone could ID. An arrowhead ??! I was going to joke "You found a race horse ?!". Lol
Just loved part two.. paper cockles.. they are so cute! Love the Shiva shells! Such a terrific place! The winged oysters too.. thank you for taking us on shelling honeymoon!
This is my Fiancé and I’s shelling beach! We found the most massive lightning whelk we have ever seen here a few weeks ago, along with a few people I know actually found Junonia’s here! Such a good spot and I love to see you enjoying it as well! Your videos are what got us into shelling so this was so awesome to see you at our beach!
I was fortunate for 4 years to live at Venice Beach and collect hundreds of shells along the Marina del Rey jetty. I sorted them, painted some and made others into jewelry. My favorites are my Pacific Sand Dollars. Now that I live 4 hours away from the ocean, my shells are precious souvenirs.
Another great day at the beach! Loved that turkey wing with the periostracum, the agatized coral and that second sea star was a show-stopper!! So many fun finds and I learned a few things that I can look for next time I vacation there.

Thank you so much Tracy! I had myself a fantastic time up there at Honeymoon Island. It's always fun to see what familiar shells and new things I'm going to discover. I will definitely be back!
I’m glad you finally made it to Honeymoon Island. I only found the shivas on Turner Beach one time many years ago. Maybe because the beach isn’t as flat? Your map was great! You found a nice variety of shells. The summer wasn’t as plentiful.
I find it so exciting when you find new shells, especially ones you’ve been looking for. I couldn’t believe the amount of shells on the beach!! Even though it was rocky, it would still be a great beach to visit!! Hope you’re having a great week so far!! Take care!!🥰🐬
Your adventure at this beach was awesome! I love all of the chestnut turbans! I’ve never seen the shiva shells before. So cute! I love the baby ears too
Congrats on the sponsor!!!! I'm thrilled for you. And, I must say, Part 2 of the Honeymoon Island was just as fabulous as the first part. Wonderful, wonderful treasurers!!!
Looks like you had a great day on Honeymoon Island. You found so many shells. Love the Longspine Star Snail, the chestnut turban operculum, Baby’s ear, and all the other shells. Thank you for taking us with you!
Hi Sharmon! Got my cup of Joe and sit down to enjoy the beach with you and WOW! Honeymoon island is amazing. You found some awesome shells! Those cats eyes/shiva are beautiful. Saw them on another sheller channel yrs ago at Honeymoon but at that time had never found turbines. I found loads of turbines later at Captiva but forgot to look for shiva. I will look this time when I return to Marco and hopefully do a drive up to Honeymoon. I want to find loads of those gorgeous Bay scallops for sure. Thanks for a fantastic trip. I have so enjoyed this island adventure. Have a great week! Hugs!
Omygoodness you were HERE IN MY neck of the Beaches. ! 😢 I missed running into you ..saddens me.. you have brought this old woman great joy shelling with you virtually while I was sick !I've learned so much ..thank you from my ❤ !
Living in California, which has a derth of shells, I always enjoy your excursions and I am so jealous of the abundance of shells Florida and other places have, but this one was the top of my envious list. Thank you so much for making this a two episode trip. I hope to be in the Tampa area in two years for a few days and plan on spending a big chunk of time shelling. You ara definite shelling encourgager.
Great video, thanks for taking us along. I always can't wait for Sunday evenings to see what you find and of course for the BEACH TIME.Have a great week 😊
How exciting and joyful to watch and listen to your reactions as you beachcomb and find your treasures! A wonderful way to end my long day, with so much fun! Thank you for posting!! 🥰
I would love to see Honeymoon Island. You had so much fun! The Shiva shells ( operculums rather) and agates. Not to mention the spiney shells… did I say Chestnut Turbens? So much! Even your new sponsor providing shade was a great addition to your day. I hope you go back again soon.
I admire the way you find a shell & if it’s alive set it back gently or maybe in the water! I was watching a young ( shelling down under ) he’s not as gentle as you he’ll pick find it’s still alive & just throw anywhere ! I don’t like that , bcoz I’ve seen you very nicely to help the little critters that someday will discard the shell & be available to shellers! He doesn’t pickup trash , throws it back in water or in rocks . Down under gives it away as to where he’s from including his accent! Thank you for taking care of our beaches , maybe bfor I get older I’ll be able to go shelling , I plan on doing my part to help clean them !
I think I know the sheller from down under - I actually don't get a chance to watch him all that much. I should so I can learn some of my other shells. Anyway, I ADORE these beach creatures and will always treat them with care, as they are living creatures. I feel as if the beach has rewarded me in the past with some really amazing creature encounters. I've been to see a mama turtle laying eggs on the beach, a baby turtle being released back to the gulf, an octopus, a big sting ray, a manatee swam right past me while I was filming a video - there are so many amazing encounters the beach has provided me. I can't wait to see what else I'm going to discover!
I really enjoy your videos I was eating my dinner (shrimp and scallops) when I got a notification. I sure envy you being so close to the beach. Have a wonderful week 💜👍🐚
thanks for all your videos!! I sit here in the hospital watching my mom sleep, and your videos help me stay calm and pass the hospital time, which seems like forever sometimes, lol. can't wait to visit and see sea shells!!
@SWF Beach Life my first comment was cut...I was only asking if you could pan the beach a bit slower so we can see more of what you see, making us even happier. then you did! maybe I worded it wrong and UA-cam got offended, lol...again, thanks for the videos!!🐚🧜🏼♀️👣🐾🌞💯
Honeymoon Island is such a pretty beach/park. For anyone wanting to visit, there is an entry fee and if you want to go to Caladisi, you need to take the ferry. (Or you can boat there yourself if you happen to have your own.)
Lol, there is no other way to shell....like you'll never she'll again, lol. Every shell you find, I get so excited and happy for you!! I would lose my one there. The Shiva Shells are so tiny, but the wow factor. I love these beach walk shelling expeditions!! Thank you for showing us your wonderful treasures. I especially loved that soft coral branch, that was awesome!!
Wonderful!!! I really enjoyed the variety of shells you picked up and identified for us - thank you. I do love your videos and this one was truly wonderful.
I live near honeymoon island and I have never gotten anything near what you did. I got mermaid money, chestnut turban, buttercup Lucien, scallops very few fighting conch . Never seen a shark eye, cone shell, babies ear, pear whelk, lighting whelk at this beach. I live real close to the beach. I got married at Crystal Beach in the church by the beach which is close to Honeymoon island.
Hi swf absolutely perfect orange alphabet cone and Soo many others I loved That turkey wing wow. You should get those rocks you found, tumbled & polished. With those minerals, they would be just beautiful. No kidding 😄luv to see it
Hello there, Beach Angel! I've been looking forward to this all day and am now cuddled up with my kitty boy, Levi, ready to go for a beach walk. Oh, what beautiful scallop shells! My favorites! At least my favorites don't weigh a ton! I can't remember finding a sea whip...I have found odd bits of coral, though. The nacre on that oyster was like moonlight on the waves. How beautiful it is! I hope you brought a big backpack, dear lady, as you're hitting the shell jackpot! I'm so impressed with your haul at Honeymoon Island. Funny, I was at Caladesi many years ago and didn't find much. It's the luck of the tide, I suppose. I'm definitely going to want to hit Honeymoon Island if I ever get to go home again. Grabbed my Audubon's and am stumped by your potato chip shell, too. I'll keep looking and will let everybody know if I find it. Oh, beach time! How it soothes my winter-weary soul. The sound of the laughing gulls makes it even better! I don't worry about what I missed, as I figure everyone else needs to find pretty shells, too. On behalf of the sea stars you saved, I thank you! That turban is pretty and maybe it and the cone are your rewards for helping the sea stars. Good on you, Beach Angel for knowing about Drusy Quartz. There is also a stone up further on the coast called Tampa Bay Agate. It's brownish with rusty tones. Nice stuff. Pretty shark eye. A little cracked, but aren't we all? Ha! Hurray for you having a sponsor! It's about time someone took notice of you and your amazing beach videos! What a haul! You really had a great couple of days! I'm so happy for you and for the happiness you are sharing with us. No matter how I'm feeling, spending this time with you never fails to raise my spirit and ease the pain which ravages my body. Thank you, dear Beach Angel, for all you do. Many blessings on you and lots of lovely shells find their way to you. Love from The Lost Mermaid
I so enjoy your comments. I'm new here, from Missouri. I am disabled. I found a product that has helped my pain so much it's like an answered prayer. No, I don't sell it. It's called HealnSoothe. It's Proteolytic enzymes. Anyway, it would be hard to pick a fave out of today's shells. It's such a treat to leave the cold and watch Sharmon's Beach Adventures.
I will admit I had help with the Druzy Quartz. I don't think I would have spotted it or had known what it was upon first inspection if I didn't have a little help. Goodness it's fascinating what all can be found on the beach! I have not heard of Tampa Bay Agate but my husband's parents have gone gem hunting in I think the Carolinas. It sounds like so much fun. I think hunting for those special treasures, no matter the treasure, is just such a treat. ❤️
@@donnajohnson3334 Hi Donna! So glad my mental ramblings bring you joy. I'm going to check out the HealnSoothe. I'd rub horse pucky on if it would at least dull the pain! I've been struggling against it so long, I cannot recall being without it! Let's keep in touch, okay? We can cheer each other's days, perhaps. Becca, The Lost Mermaid
Hi… just recently found your channel… I live in NY and usually spend some time in Cape Cod in September/October… I could spend hours beach-combing… it’s always relaxing and I like moon snails to collect… and whelks… It’s so interesting to see the different shells from different places…along the Atlantic Ocean…and the variety and diversity in nature… absolutely the best artist!!! Being on the beach feeds my soul… especially when it’s not crowded… my two favorite words are… “ Off Season “… Enjoy your shelling… hope you find lots of great shells 🐚!!!
I’m in Oregon and we were going to the Florida Keys twice a year for our doses of sunshine and thaw out our frozen bones but then the hurricanes destroyed our favorite beach on Bahia Honda state park, then covid arrived soon after and then my failed spinal surgery put an end to our long travels… Kauai is 5 hrs away but we aren’t in love with the beaches there but for now we’re sticking with traveling in our motorhome but not going far. Doctors told me that they think my spinal issues are from the years of walking on the beach and bending over to pick up shells coupled with my having Ehler Danlos, rare genetic stuff that destroys your joints… we miss going to Florida, lived in ft meyers as a toddler and remember loving the water and swimming on sanabelle island…..so long ago… but memories imprinted forever in my heart forever….. watching your videos helps me feel like I’m there picking up a new shells…. Our family room decor is out of place here in Oregon with the Fla keys beach theme… love having part of our life displayed in my family room.
I know Irma was a real jerk to the Keys, but I did go snorkeling at Bahia last August. It's gorgeous! ua-cam.com/video/sM6FMIzdPnY/v-deo.html I do admit that I am very partial to the beaches here in SWFL. I'm very happy to bring you along with me to find those gorgeous beach treasures!
What a score! She many treasures. I have been wondering about the seaweed bloom and wondering if/how that might affect your shelling this summer. I look forward to every Monday morning cup coffee and a virtual trip to the beach with you! Thank you so much for sharing your shelling adventures.
I think that seaweed blob, even though they've been mentioning the gulf, is going to stay more to the East like it normally does. I'm just trying to keep away from that stupid red tide!
I went to Honeymoon Island today for a few hours and walked almost to the northern tip. The tide was going out and the shells were abundant! I had to make myself stop picking up Chestnut Turbans and mermaid money! So glad you made the trip to visit this beautiful place and discover another fabulous Florida shelling destination.
Wow what beautiful shells. The colors and seeing a couple new shells for me. It was an amazing shelling day. Thank you for taking us with you. I also really enjoy the beach time. I just close my eyes and it is so relaxing for me. Thank you again and have a great day.
Goodmorning. Sharmon! The first part of your visit to Honeymoon Island was outstanding. I know part two will be as well! "Let's go to the Beach..." 🎶 🎵 🐚 😊
Omgosh! What a fabulous shelling adventure! So happy right now!!! I really need to get to a beach soon, The shells are calling!!!❤ Thank you again for another amazing shelling adventure! Take care!
I have loved your videos, and I'm so excited...we are moving to SWFL in May! Can't wait to do some shelling of my own! Thank you for the virtual trips. Of course I'll keep watching, because I always learn something new.
Oh, I loved this trip! Thank you for taking us to Honeymoon Island; it’s beautiful. We just (just!) got back from SWF and were able to get to several beaches despite red tide. Longboat Key, Manasota Key, Blind Pass, Stump Pass (Englewood), Sanibel and Ft. Myers Beach. I’m going to be sorting shells for a looong time, haha. Much destruction from Ian but I feel hopeful because there is so much going on to clear and repair. It will take time, but it’s coming!
It's still hard for me to wrap my head around how much things have changed since that hurricane, but things are definitely getting better. More places are opening up and slowly but surely it's coming back. It's going to take a whole lot of patience, but it's going to be amazing!
Love that atlantic wing oyster! It reminds me of an arc?? (Spelln). I see it has an edge that is very straight! Im not good with names or characteristics but fascinated by them.
Pretty ! It had periostracum and outer layers buffed away to show the Mother of Pearl layer, Also called Nacre. I love old shell buttons for that reason.
So much fun, I also have never found a shiva shell but I have a ring and it has a shiva shell in the middle. I love it. So exciting that you found that many. I will have to make my way to Honeymoon Island one day. Have a great week. See you Sunday! XOXO
That sea whip really is pretty. Never knew. Thanks again. I'm so sad. My mom died a few weeks ago. So, it turns out we're going to sell our Naples penthouse. I think I'll go one more time if that seaweed blob stays away long enough.
Lovely video. You're taking us places that we have driven within reasonable distance and hadn't known of since we're star struck with Sanibel. Missed going last year and then here comes Ian !
Thank you so very much for sharing your shelling experiences! Being home bound disabled, I no longer get to go to the beach, so I truly enjoy and appreciate these virtual trips.
I'm so happy you choose to spend some of your time at the beach with me!
I don’t think of myself as disabled even though the compression fractures in my lumbar spine limit my mobility. I can
bend over to pick things up tho.
As an avid rock collector as well as shell collector, I was excited to see the agatized coral!
I'm not a rock hound, but I do appreciate the special ones. I was stunned by the agatized coral too, especially the blue one.
Nothing better than walking and shelling! Soothes the soul! I really enjoy your videos.
I used to find the cat’s eyes all the time in Hawaii and never knew exactly how they were ‘shells’. Operculum! Thanks for the education!

I never sit and just walk…lol but a good umbrella is a must for those who like to sit and read and watch their kids ect.
And I'm the one usually sitting there holding the dang umbrella so it doesn't blow away! I am a big believer in beach safety!!
Those sea gulls sure were cute, they were having a conversation.
So much variety and agatized coral to boot! Nice!
Just came back from Holden Beach in NC. I found some SEA BISCUITS!

Your adventure at this beach was awesome! I love all of the chestnut turbans! I’ve never seen the shiva shells before. So cute! I love the baby ears too
I am hoping Sharmon can tell me if the Baby ears are a gastropod like an abalone or half of a bivalve.
@@donnajohnson3334 Gastropod
Baby Ears are members of the moon snail family so they are indeed gastropods 🥰
I enjoyed the two part Honeymoon Beach! Such great finds! Thanks for sharing!
Today was a great shell collecting day! Thanks so much for bringing us along. Have a great week!
What another amazing walk on the beach, I would have been going crazy, loved all the shells you found, one day I will be walking on this beach also!!

I love how your visit to Honeymoon seems to have lifted your spirits! Great sea shell video as well!
I love your videos they are so relaxing and soothing
Ha ha ! I had tuna salad ! Lol ! I saw some monster prawns at market though.
Dinner sounds scrumptious! I hope you have a wonderful week too!
Wow!! Some great finds on Honeymoon Island, glad you beet that awful red tide 🙂
I have two big containers full of the cats eyes. But honeymoon Island is my beach I go there all the time
So much fun!!! Thanks for taking us along!!!
Thank you for another absolutely amazing day of shelling! I am obsessed with Sunday evenings and your videos!! ❤
thanks for all your videos!! I sit here in the hospital watching my mom sleep, and your videos help me stay calm and pass the hospital time, which seems like forever sometimes, lol. can't wait to visit and see sea shells!!
Oh dear Kelly, I have spent hours upon hours in the hospital with loved ones as well. I'm glad I can help you pass the time at the beach!
Thank you! Honeymoon Island is now on The List! I was able to get Shiva shells and fossilized coral at a show to make jewelry with.
Honeymoon Island is such a pretty beach/park. For anyone wanting to visit, there is an entry fee and if you want to go to Caladisi, you need to take the ferry. (Or you can boat there yourself if you happen to have your own.)
Thank you so much for leaving this great info!
That sounds like a lovely place to be married!
Hi swf absolutely perfect orange alphabet cone and Soo many others I loved That turkey wing wow. You should get those rocks
you found, tumbled & polished. With those minerals, they would be just beautiful. No kidding 😄luv to see it
I used to have a rock tumbler!
I want to be there. My late sister and I always wanted to go to those islands and go shelling and beach combing. Love your videos. ❤❤❤
I love the agatized coral! I was lucky to find a very large piece of honey colored agatized coral in the Bahamas last year!
Wowee and Gagah !. Neat find !
Loved all the cute little shells you found!
I haven’t been to Honeymoon in a very long time. It was great watching you enjoy it.
Wow, that blue agatized coral was so beautiful, as was that new sea star!
Wonderful shells 🐚 ❤️
Hi… just recently found your channel… I live in NY and usually spend some time in Cape Cod in September/October… I could spend hours beach-combing… it’s always relaxing and I like moon snails to collect… and whelks…
It’s so interesting to see the different shells from different places…along the Atlantic Ocean…and the variety and diversity in nature…
absolutely the best artist!!! Being on the beach feeds my soul… especially when it’s not crowded… my two favorite words are…
“ Off Season “… Enjoy your shelling… hope you find lots of great shells 🐚!!!
"Off season" are two of my favorite words too! 😅
So funny...on last week's video I kept thinking, "where are all the little operculums for those chestnut turbans? They should be everywhere."
I'm glad I waited a little to find them. I was like a kid that had too much sugar running all over the beach!
That was a really wonderful shelling day ! So many beautiful shells and what a beautiful spot ! Thanks for sharing ! This was just what I needed ! ❤
Wow great shelling at honeymoon island! I'm about 15 minutes from there but disabled and can't walk on beach.. so this was awesome to see again!
I'm glad I was able to get you to the beach!
It's gorgeous! ua-cam.com/video/sM6FMIzdPnY/v-deo.html
I do admit that I am very partial to the beaches here in SWFL. I'm very happy to bring you along with me to find those gorgeous beach treasures!
I ONLY found tiny shivas, and that's ALL last November! 😳
I knooooow! Isn't it so much fun to find all those shells all over the place! I loved it there!
❤Stunning shells! We still have 2 feet of snow. I needed that. Thankyou!
Wow what beautiful shells. The colors and seeing a couple new shells for me. It was an amazing shelling day. Thank you for taking us with you. I also really enjoy the beach time. I just close my eyes and it is so relaxing for me. Thank you again and have a great day.
I’ve been going to the beach for years never knowing that was agatized coral. Thanks so much for showing that today. ❤
My Mom lives on Honeymoon Island. Just a fun place to visit for sure.
Just beautiful! I love how happy you sound as you’re finding these treasures! Thank you! ❤️🐚
Goodmorning. Sharmon! The first part of your visit to Honeymoon Island was outstanding. I know part two will be as well! "Let's go to the Beach..." 🎶 🎵 🐚 😊
oh,yes!! you panned super slow!! I got to see the awesome piles of shells where you found the baby pear whelk!!
Omgosh! What a fabulous shelling adventure! So happy right now!!! I really need to get to a beach soon, The shells are calling!!!❤
Thank you again for another amazing shelling adventure! Take care!
I have loved your videos, and I'm so excited...we are moving to SWFL in May! Can't wait to do some shelling of my own!
Thank you for the virtual trips. Of course I'll keep watching, because I always learn something new.
Good luck with the move! I hope you love it here as much as I do!
Thank you again for a fabulous beach walk. So many different varieties of shells x
What a great trip! Lots of neat new shells, and new animals. Do live a good beach trip with you!
Thank You!
Thank you so very much!!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
So sorry to hear that. I don't know you, but I feel for your loss. Lost my best friend, my Mom in 2020. Blessings & peace.
I lost my mom is 2019. I think of her everyday ❤️
I'm so very sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my mom back in 2019 and I still miss her terribly. ❤️
I have a lovely Shiva shell necklace set in sterling silver..I adore it
Every second weekend I would visit my grandparents and collect cats eyes at the nearby beach, funny how we all have different experinces .Cool vid
Wow, this is the place I want to go shelling! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks!
Lori thank you so very much! I appreciate you! 🙏🏼
Lovely video. You're taking us places that we have driven within reasonable distance and hadn't known of since we're star struck with Sanibel.
Missed going last year and then here comes Ian !
