I saw a 1.4CL for sale on Facebook today that I was tempted to buy, only £600. Pictures aren’t great but I think at least 1 of the rear arches maybe on the cusp of being completely rotten. The high mileage and the colour also put me off though. 156000 miles and it’s the same colour as my ghia.

I'm glad we got the Mk1 here in the USA up to 2007. I have an 07 with the Duratec engine.

Your driver loves the loud pedal. Watching those revs fly up

The tddi is quite nice and more refined than you would expect, and it is impossible to get less than 500 miles from a tank of fuel. Some nice mk1s there.

Best festival video so far. :-)

  • @TheGhiaDriver

What a great video! So good to see all the a Mk1s coming together in such a variety of spec and condition. These are finally starting to garner the respect and appreciation they deserve.

For those who wants intermittent wipers all you need is handle and attach one wire from handle to GEM (facelift models). Also you missed estate you missing lol

I owned a 1999 V plated metallic light green Mk1 Ford Focus 2.0 petrol Ghia with a plastic walnut dash which I bought really cheap for £500 in 2008 from my brother. Only had 55k on the clock and sadly I then did too many miles and let it go at 156k in 2014. Sold it for £500 though so got my money back, was a fantastic car.

Love my 01 zx3! It needs a timing belt, and pretty much the entire suspension, but they’re so damn cheap and easy to work on

The millennium editions attracted the most attention out of all of ours and you can see why as they stand out with yellow colour. Was a great meet up seeing do many mk1s together 😁

Great turnout and to fly the flag for the MK1s. I was invited to come to this show last year and I said I will but unfortunately I had to sell my MK1 Edge couple of months ago, very reluctant sale. However I am on the hunt for another soon 👍

Good video Andrew, thanks for showing my car at the beginning. I am strangely attracted to a Focus saloon!

  • @Kabaryan

Great video 😊 sending support 😊

  • @DMcC_pool

Liking the video. Makes me want to really step up my search for a Ghia of my own! Need a lottery win to free up more time, not for the dosh to buy one! Keep up the good work.

What rots the front wings out and sill more than any dirt that gets trapped by the mud flap are leaves that get past the scuttle pannel and then sit and rot between the bottom of the wing and the wheel arch liner.

  • @RobsonRoverRepair

Tddi was always my preference over the tdci, but then I ran a diesel Escort turbo mk6 van for years

  • @TheYeminator

Do the plastics lower trims on the sides stop any of the corrosion found in the versions with just metal trims?
