    this channel is gold. there are so many topics you could cover. I'd really like to understand how the wheelbase, truck height etc ... modify the dynamics of the board. Ben Degros, with his youtube channel, has often analyzed these aspects heuristically. my autism would be thrilled to see these topics from an analytic point of view.

    How have I not found this channel sooner!? I love seeing the animations. It’s such a great way to envision a trick without having to land it a thousand times on camera and it will always be clean unlike in real life (props on you for having irl footage also I’m well aware of how difficult solo filming is even if it’s just a shuv). The animations also really make it more understandable and just change the way you think about the Physics of skating.

    I started skating late 90's early the year 2000's. I had all these issues you mentioned, but I figured it out back in the days that if I pop like an ollie, placing my foot at the top of the tail, right in the middle, pop it hard and scoop it at the same time, the board wouldn't flip or go away. It worked for me and helped to clear out obstacles.

  • @jaychung8310
    @jaychung8310 3 роки тому +3

    Finally a channel that matches my learning style. I hope you can breakdown ollies one day. I was told My ollies opening frontside was because of my shoulders turning. Everywhere I go and look up the only reason i can find is my shoulders. But i believe there is more to the story (front foot angles, overpop, hips)

      This! Please Ollie as next trick in depth. I still struggle to get an Ollie and keeping the momentum of rolling. I think this could be due to my slow speed, but I think the deconstruction could help further. 🤓

      I'm very good a pop shove-its and can do them really high, and I have always found that popping from the spot where he pops in this video causes a ton of problems. I always pop from the exact center of the end of the tail and that makes it so the board never flips, and is also the secret to getting them really high. I also give it a little forward nudge (forward as in the way that I'm rolling) with my back foot during the pop and that helps me keep it centered when doing them high in the air.
