I used to sing this when I was a teenager. After all this time (I'm in my 60s now), I still remember the words, and the melody, but now I can't sing. Hum yes, sing no. This is a gorgeous rendition of it!
I am stunned and breathless. This is some of the most beautiful, heart-stopping music I've ever heard from a myriad of cultures in my trilingual, 59.5 years. THANK YOU, sir - you are a True Maestro on my favorite musical instrument in the world and you make me proud of my maternal Welsh roots!
I first encountered this many decades ago as the grounding for the hymn "The Master Has Come." Then I met "The Ash Grove." Your composing, your playing, your artistry, and your overall skills make this the most beautiful version I've EVER heard -- and I'm 75.
A very lovely rendition with some elaborations in the intro stanza I don’t recognize from the basic “standard” versions. The independent hands adds a rich effect. What key are you playing in? I have looked on your site for sheet music for this arrangement but didn’t see it. Is it available for purchase?
If you click on 'see more' in the text area, there's a lot more info. I do have a basic notation page in pdf form that I can send you, including my interlude that I com[osed, if you email me at timothyseaman at gmail dot com. (Can't send pdfs in comments.)
Good Morning Timothy, I was curious if there was a site in which I would be able to purchase sheet music for your rendition of this song? Thanks, Cyndi
I do have a pdf of the basic form of this arrangement in the keys of D and G, showing how the hands are separated to get the 'duet' effect; I'd be glad to send that to you for free, but I think the only way would be through e-mail, so if you write me through my website www.timothyseaman.com to request it, I'll reply with the attachment.
Beautiful!
Thank you. It is very unselfish of you to post on UA-cam. It gives people pleasure. You are appreciated. Thank you again.
What a beautiful melody, and so artistically communicated through the dulcimer. Thank you!

You brought light into a very dark day for me with this. Thank you.
This is also the tune of "Let All Things Now Living," which is a Thanksgiving hymn. I like hearing it on the hammered dulcimer.
At Holiday time we often play this piece because of the Thanksgiving connection!
You have such a rich pianistic sound. Wonderful.
What a beautiful piece!!!
Absolutely awesome!
Utterly beautiful!
this is beautiful - thank you!
That's it! I am going to Wales on the next flight.
😅
We used to sing this tune in Choir. It has words to it.
Buck Lilli we used to sing in Girl Scouts when I was a young girl. Brings tears to my eyes.
Oh so gorgeous and soulful! Thank you❣️🤗
This is so beautiful! 🥰

Thanks for sharing your performance. I hope some day I'll be able to play like you. Great song.
