    Beethoven wasn't born deaf. He became deaf as he aged. He knew what each key sounded like.

    Fun fact, the quote "I am become death, detroyer of the world" actually comes from hinduism, and the reason for the weird grammar is because it puts emphasis on both becoming death as well as being death at that moment.

    • @blakecacini8016

      I thought the weird grammar was just an archaic use of be rather than have as the auxiliary for intransitive verbs.

    Beethoven had perfect pitch, which made it so he knew what every note sounds like, so when he went deaf it didn’t really affect his writing abilities

  • @jonathancrespo3274
    @jonathancrespo3274 8 місяців тому +61

    Beethoven had developed perfect pitch by the time he went deaf as a result of being raised into music young (but too old to be considered a child prodigy like Mozart as his father had wanted). So he already subconsciously knew what the written notes sound like, thus he knew what the music would sound like.
    Although, perfect pitch isnt as great as youd think, cuz Beethoven was also notoriously picky and considered a pain in the ass to work with cuz he could hear minute details in the music that people without perfect pitch cant(before he went deaf).
    Also, after he went deaf, he was kinda considered the “crazy old man” by people cuz he would spend a lot of his time pacing, talking to himself, and writing the music down as he imagines it in his head.
    But he did use ear horns for a bit as he was going deaf to try to hear better (given to him by the same guy who invented the metronome, which he also gave to him)

    The Bible was not first written in Latin. The earliest parts of the Bible were written primarily in Hebrew, along with some sections in Aramaic. This is particularly true for the Old Testament. The New Testament was written in Koine Greek. The Latin translation of the Bible, known as the Vulgate, was completed by St. Jerome in the late 4th century.

      Yeah, here in europe, bible literalism isnt as much of a thing because we are home to the actual catholic church, who are responsible for its compilation. They are fully aware that the bible isnt the literal word of god, its the collection of agreed upon stories by early christian councils.
      Somewhere between martin luthers complaints about the structure of the church and its practices (which cannot be biblical in totality because christianity predates the bible) and today, protestantism in many places seems to have forgotten the bibles origins but in many places in america, somehow, they have convinced themselves that catholics arent even christian.

    Okay I'm about to sound really pretentious. But Paris actually had the favor of Aphrodite because he gave her the golden apple of discord and in exchange she offered him the hottest woman in the world. So yes, there are versions in which he kidnaps Helen, but there are also versions in which Aphrodite uses her goddess magic to make Helen fall in love with him.

    • @laucio1918

    "We can have premarital-sex!" That scene was from the movie, "Jason X." The context is kinda complicated because the movie is basically self-parody and the Friday The 13th franchise is so long-running.
    The gist is, Jason kills teenagers who have premarital-sex, drink/smoke pot underaged. He's such a prude. Jason X is the 10th installment where he goes to space and that scene is on a VR kinda thing to keep him distracted.

Though once the ashes are given to the families they can probably do whatever they want. So basically, probably not legal, but if you really wanted to it’s doable I suppose.
