I still woul've liked a look at how the German communist movement developed - especially with the SPD, its original reformist version of marxism, its collaboration with the previous state order during the November Revolution all to way to their rebirth in 1959 and abandonment of their marxist roots. I find this especially interesting because they were the main force of the november revolution and one of the dominant parties in the liberal system of interwar Germany despite the fact that at that point they were still trying to build a communist anti-capitalist utopia
Communism is not utopian is literally why Engels wrote "Socialism: utopian and scientific" cause they knew that it must be tranformed on basis of the current material conditions at an specific context

I'd like to point out that there was one exception in history of a fully industrialised country becoming communist, that being Czechoslovakia. Basicaly that country only got communist because most people thought "Well the Red army liberated most of our country and they were communist, so I will vote for the communists to show my gratitude to them" a not thinking of the reprocussions. Turns out Communism is much more appealing to people in a country that actively supressed the ideas of Enlightenment and was essentially forcing the majority of it's population to live like literal medieval peasants all the way into the early 20th century.
Opposed to a heavily industrialized and enlightened country that despite suffering from losing the great war, was still able to provide its people with all the amenities, public services, and utilities that the modern world could offer at the time.
Heavy industry doesn't lead to Communism; lack of a means to numb your pain however, does. The people have 0 regard for private property when they don't own anything in the first place.
That's basically true. I like the slogan "you have nothing to lose but your chains", but the problem is that often it's not the case for the proletariat in industrialized countries; we have enough to lose that we're not going to do a revolution. This is why the Great Depression spawned so many communist movements through Europe
Next you got to do fascist Italy.
Communism has to be international because there is no more nation.
But yes, if not everybody becomes without nation, the ones that do will win, just like any anarchism.
Yooo
Fabianism sounds more Italian than Britannian.
Well it comes from the roman General Fabius. A man know for his delying tactics.
Gramsci basically wrote the manual on the approach a couple of decades after the society was created so it makes sense to think that.
Chad josiah
The problem with this video is that it assumes that the Fabian and Marxist-Leninist movements have the same goals. They don't. The Fabian Society believed in gradualism, so not only do they oppose any revolutionary form of Marxism ideologically, but they also oppose more populist social democrats like what we see in Latin America.
Keir Starmer is closely associated with the Fabian Society, and they both spearheaded the efforts to remove Corbyn from the Labour party.
I support Polish cat girls :)
who doesn't
the pokemon are labelled backwards. Fabians labelled as marxists and vis versa
"Were coming up in countries which were not industrialised", its not that they were not industrialised, but that their industrial side of population wasn't enlisted during the war, so their revolutionary fire wasn't extinct by blood of war.

@@terrorbilly3367 Yeah it's alright if their is some itty bitty of state power (like even lesser state power than the minarchist) although it's no longer the alleged anarchy (seriously I'm confused what does anarchy even now because anarchy that is envisioned by many anarchist are so different even though the only thing they have similarity is that all of them don't have any laws/power only standard norms are left in their vision. And those norms are very varied to the point that it recreates a frickin government either through
a. business monopolization
b. intense collective democracy
c. The ego for creating a cult to please oneself for popularity
d. Invasion by a much more advanced state
and that's why I concluded their is no true anarchy because no matter what we cannot be freed we are power hungry monsters because of resources)
Back on track yes I think there should be some state involvement because there would be much confusion on how to orderly put things together especially when people are in a panic i think anarchy is the final and the beginning features of humanity

Communism has never been tried you say? Well, neither has capitalism! Let's give each a fair shake, shall we?
Both have been tried and both have failed in some occasions. The question is if the failures are inherent to the system, and I believe this is the case for capitalism and not communism. Capitalism has always had recessions every ~10 years and big depressions every ~100 years, while the failures of communism can be attributed to extremely centralized governments co-opting political movements and basically trying to erase national and religious minorities, which all communists who aren't Marxist-Leninist stronly oppose.
2:10 Just wrong. Marx has said that he wrote about the communist takover in the developed world, and that Russia has high chance of developing a communist uprising through the peasantry. I know that reading is quite extensive, but i am sure there are easy to swallow videos with primary sources that would make it easier to make informative videos.
Yeah he did say that. although he did imply that there was 6 stages of human civilisation ranging from proto-communism to feudalism all the way to communism again, hence the assumption by many people who thought he didn't believe backtrodden hellholes could be communist.
Although the Russian communists were far away from being pro-peasantry so he was still wrong in that, they were more like pro-peasant genocide considering killed dozens of millions of Russian and Ukrainian peasants.
@@LastBrigadier Ok, It isn't like Marx was a Bolshevick choosing to starve peasants, so he was right, because the revolution did happen and it did succeed. Hence my correction of a pretty basic misconception found in a history video.
@@djordjetosic4553 what about the 6 stages of civilisation mate, it clearly implied that the final stage was Communism, and to reach that stage a society had to go through Capitalism.

The problem is that in an industrialists society the bourgouisy has enough power to sway the workers away from communist/socialist thought with propaganda
It actually has more to do with stratification of the society, while pre-industrial societies have a higher concentradation of wealth while also a big part of the population is independent of supply chains. Basically a revolution is harder for an industrial country simply due to the fact that by cutting the country from international trade, a lot of sectors of the economy suddenly collapse and cannot be used even if nationalized. That's why one of the most important policies introduced by communists was to secure the food production and distribution, meanwhile in the West a revolution would simply abolish a lot of industries because they exist simply as subsidiary to the capitalist system, that is certain businesses would be impossible without private agents trades both domestically and internationally.
That, of course, doesn't mean that the revolutions are impossible, but that it's way harder to perform due to interdependence relations which cannot be abolished by state decrees.
