@@riyadebnath2775 u can move internally by taking release from ur current project for that you have to discuss with ur manager. after taking the release u will be on bench and then you will only give interview for Data analyst projects but please make sure that your are well versed with data analyst tools. once u have gain experience of say at least one year then u can switch companies and get higher package.
I’m a BA now but I was told by one of the interviewer in one of Pune company saying that A BA should be from technical background. Because I rejected their 6LPA offer and they weren’t happy so he asked me all types of technical questions which I wasn’t aware. But Happily I’m in Infosys as a BA now. I can 100% relate to Vamshi. I am following the same roadmap as he had done. I am a B.Com grad and from non CS background. Learning Data Engineering from the scratch and till now it has been quite difficult but...Super Awesome to learn it. Being married and working in Sales field and also taking time out to learn Data Engineering is the challenge I had never thought of enduring. A random peice of advice - Germany is one country where transition will be very difficult in any field, only way to make it little easier is through masters in statistics/data analytics.....they value skills/ work experience and value you sticking to one field. wishing you all the best. If you know German I guess civil engineering has lot of scope.

Those who want to data engineer and data science just by seeing other is earning 20 lpa or else.. just remember data science and engineering involve a lot of a lot of calculation and Statics using Excel and other tools .. the whole business depends on that data.. the job comes with high pressure as well because you are going to play with data to increase companies performance..it is not easy job...you should be motivated but also be realistic..... Mostly in my experience those who are good in maths statistics and calculas they can go for data science and engineering otherwise do not get excited by others CTC or lPA..
Hi Raj, I still don’t know maths and stats.. I know decent excel but I don’t have to use excel as part of my job.. my job majorly requires common sense and smart decisions. couple of Data roles might need all these knowledge, but its not mandatory at all.. Its based mine and my colleagues exp. If that is what stopping you, I would say give it a try if you are passionate about data. Regarding pressure, its based the company you choose and purely depends on our mindset too

In my case, 1. I include only technical work details that I do as part of my role. I don’t mention all non tech stuff 2. I even skipped non tech exp that is > 6 months 3. Then pay I attention to each line written on my resume.. everything should be technical 4. Mention certifications, courses, projects and implementation You can tweak your resume too, if you are spending 6 months for learning, you should consider spending min 2 weeks for resume and LinkedIn, its totally worth

Absolutely.. always focus on role.. do not limit your self to one technology.. but yes, azure has similar pay grade. Many data engineers learn both

Hello Shashank it was a great podcast and like Vamshi ,I am also from MBA background with experience in non IT(into interior field for 4.5 yrs since I finished my MBA 2017 passed out). And now am looking to switch to Azure Data Engineer for which I have also joined the course but don't know whether to mention my MBA details in the resume because am doubtfull if I mention that, companies will consider my profile or not..
So it would be very much helpful if you can get me the info from Vamshi about how he prepared the resume, did he mention his non IT experience as well, if so, what is the flow of calls from the recruiters, and which job portal he used to upload the resume ,all these details I need from Vamshi. So I kindly request you to provide these details and do the needful..please please respond to my comment 🙏 🙏🙏🙏

I have the same story, I'm BBA, MBA person and right now working as a off role data engineer in one of the giant finance company but as it's my first job and recently I have completed 1 year in DE field, I was looking for a change in job from last one month and I didn't got a call for interview. I was really demotivated but after watching your interview, I'm really pumped up and definitely I'm gonna do something good.
