106001-01 Upper Brace

You will need two additional 12mm M3 self tapping screws for the top brace (unless you have a mechanical speed control then they are already there). For the bottom, a 14mm M3 self tapping screw is recommended to replace the 12mm units in the bulkhead and 8mm M3 self tapping screws are needed to hold the rear of the brace down.

Interesting sidenote, to change the handling/ride characteristics, you can change the rear shock lower mounting point to the hub carrier, opposite the suspension link.
I believe the front I did the same.
Which is amusingly closer to how real automotive struts are assembled.
More "Monster" truck than "Stadium" truck.
I did this myself back in '92 on mine, because I really wanted the ground clearance instead of width.
So you made the mount or just used a longer ball stud? That is a really interesting thought.
IIRC [it has been 30 years] I just changed the mounting poit to existing holes using Tamiya shoulder screws.
The rear hub carriers have the through hole on the bottom for the screw pins and the upper mount was also a through hole, just with a shoulder screw the mount the upper link, I just mounted the hock to the opposite side the same way.
Lol
Thinking about it, it is also possible that I merely went vertical using the inboard mounting holes.
Now I am however uncertain of what I did in the front.
Oh god, I need another one to recreate what I did...
It is also possible I used the front shocks on the rear, using the hub carrier mounting position and the rear shocks to give a small ride height increase in the front...
LOL, I am getting old , my memory, some of the details, are suffering.
Nice. I sent you store a msg about hex adapters for the DT02 the other day. I replied to you with some pics of what I had done to mine.
The Blitzer family could do with some too.
I saw the email but have yet to open. Ill take a look.
You make great videos and parts!!
Keep up the great work
Looking forward to the next video
Thanks Max!
Will be ordering these soon for my Blitzer Beetle project 🤘
I am very impressed by your Pumpkin/Lunchbox suspension parts!
They're strong and make the vehicle handle beautifully!
I am glad to hear it! They were a huge improvement for my cars too!
@@AMPROEngineering Received my parts yesterday and I'm very happy with them 👍
It really does strengthen the front and there is no movement at the front at all!
Excellent product!
always liked how Blitzer's drive, your braces look like they'll solve their main issue well!
I have been dying to take it to the track to see how it drives so I am happy I finally can.
no doubt! fear of a harder landing takes a lot of fun out of driving.
Have you seen the steering mod for this? just take the front uprights off and swap them around so that the steering ball joints point down.
Ill check this out!
Wow! Nice. Never had any issues with my Blitzer/Thunder family but I can’t say I’ve been jumping it much. Got a NIB Stadium Thunder waiting to be build and I will consider this. The main issue I am a bit concerned about will be the price. The braces looks quite massive so I guess the Shapeways price will be too. I cannot help comparing with the price of a re-release Falcon chassis. Quite affordable. So I think this would only be worth it for the everyday runner that is bashed and jumped with frequently. Think the upper brace is genious. Won’t the lower brace cause issues with the ground clearence and at the same time be put under a lot of stress with belly-landings/slaps? Ohh. And what about the Bear Hawk (which is really the main inspiration for the Stadium Trucks rather than the Falcon chassis)
Yeah, I think you and I have the same methodology on our cars. The price actually is pretty cheap, both for around $21. The lower brace will absolutely take 3mm away from the clearance but these are pretty high cars so it isn't so bad to me. Hmmm...bear hawk...i forgot about that car. Let me look at the front end and Ill see if that might fit. Do you have one?
AMPRO Engineering Yeah I looked at the Shapeways prices now. Not too bad. Still a Falcon chassis costs under 10€. But it will definitely be a cool upgrade for the everyday runner and if one knows it will be jumping a lot. I wonder if the upper brace will do any good alone? I haven’t got a Bear Hawk. Planning to get a Bear Hawk body for my Stadium Thunder though. Body mounts are supplied with the Blitzers. I was just wondering why you didn’t mention it. Apart from the chassis, the Blitzer/Thunder is more like a Bear Hawk buggy modified into an ST, rather than a Falcon.
Nice parts and they make it look pretty trick also! 👍😊👍
You should see them on the falcon! So yellow....
Awesome engineering :-)
Thank you!
Just installed the mods to my bearhawk.very awesome Howe strong it is now👍👍
I always forget that car! Thanks man, Ill add that note. What color?
AMPRO Engineering your welcome.just keep up the good work 👍👍
Color is black.i am repainting the bearhawk in black silver 😉
Nice!
Ahem.. there will be a Blitzer family Buyers Guide coming too?
I may need to do one soon!
Nice one Alberto!! I was wondering, the Holiday Buggy - I know is a little similar to the Blitzer Family, but different. It has the same weak link as far as front Bulkhead mounting.
Any plans for a similar setup for those Buggies??
Carmine 🚂
Maybe, it is car that no one wants to modify so I don't know what the plans are yet.
Thoughts on making a new battery hold down that holds specifically shorty packs?
This is a good idea...Hmmm....I did this on my RC10 and have a plan for the CW01 but I think this is a good candidate.
So I am considering getting the Blitzer Beetle. Interested in the price for these parts to the UK. I guess the link will price it for me if I add both to the basket?. Thanks
When purchase from the UK, these come from the Netherlands office. All the links are in the description and adding them to your cart with your location specified will give you exact prices. The Netherlands office is incredibly fast as well
Nice car, bur why the ribbed tires in the rear. Treaded tires or knotty tires in the rear could work better.
They are some crap tires I had laying around. I had not gotten new ones since I run the car on the concrete mostly. They are bald and long in the bin now, haha!
Upper brace not for sale??
Whoops! I forgot to check that box! Fixed!
👍👍
Just ordered them both 😎😂love your mods 👍
pitty your parts are not in uk
Shapeways is in the Netherlands and myminifactory can sell you the files.
@@AMPROEngineering what price would the files be ?
Awesome engineering :-)
Thanks, I had to get creative.
