I run my Beetle on a sensorless 4300kv brushless on 2s and it flies. I think it would be uncontrollable on 3s. That brace looks awesome. I'd love to have one of those.

We so want to see you're soldering skills LOL 😁 Proper soldering iron would be good to start off with. When it came to soldering motor leads, I found my 30-35W iron wasn't strong enough. I bought a unit from Princess auto that goes up to 450*F and works just great. Only use the high heat when doing motors, 300*F is good for most other jobs. 😉 Will your 3S battery fit in the holder? My tamiya like 2S lipo just fits in it, 3S will be thicker. 🤔
Well if you want to see my soldering, then my soldering you will see. Haha! I'll be sure to include some soldering shots in my next vid. As for the 3S pack, yes it does fit. It's a soft-case, so it's pretty much got the same dimensions as my 2S hard case. 👊
I vote watch the soldering! I do my own and want to see other techniques. New subscriber here by the way. Great editing, scripting, and flow on the videos! I’m more of a touring car guy (I see a lot of trucks and buggies on the wall), but the Blitzer video was great. You are in my rotation 😊
The Beetle looks great and can’t wait to see your running video of it with the new sensored system. BTW, I think the motor limits you read in the manual were for the BL60. Your BL120 can handle hotter motors (right hand column in the manual).

Ohh sensored is best ,that's a sick combo, I had to go with a sensorless combo cause of budget but it's a 9T 4370kv 60amp ESC by gooprc which should be sufficient. Can't wait to start putting it all together,still waiting for some parts before I start
It's all up to you, my man. I'm going for a high speed beach buggy, so I've dropped in a 4300kv brushless in there. From what I know, this gearbox can handle ample juice, so build it to whatever conditions you plan on running it. Just over motor and under gear to keep Temps down! 👍🏻
