It's just nice to see someone do what you want to try to do. > If your bored, I'd love a video on an iPad Small Business Kiosk 24/7 clock in/out system > how to set it up...that said your video gave me 3 key takeaways 1) Find charging app/solution to limit battery charging to 70-80% 2) Allow "sleep" with simple touch wake up. 3) Reboot every 6-8 weeks. Hopefully I'll figure this all out. Thanks a bunch.
I have the same tablet Nate, it works well and have to reboot it like you do after a month or 2. You should install the "Kiosk Browser" so you don't have to touch the screen. My tablet wakes up when i walk up to it, it uses the camera as a motion sensor.
I use the Fully Kiosk Browser and I used the motion feature at first. Works well during the day or when lights are on but both my tablets are in hallways that dont always have the lights on and are dim at night. The camera-based motion sensor doesn't work well in those situations so I just reverted back to touch.
Amazon uses fire tablets when you go and apply and their on all the time no issue, we have multiple fires weve had since about 2013 that still work allong with ones from 2018 and an HD 8 from 2020 that I still use all the time for netflix and youtube their not that fast but they work and are good for families and POS setups since their much more cost friendly than ipads but if ya want aomething a little more powerful that lasts probably should get an ipad or a Samsung
So I have 4 bars consistently. Everything looks good(actually usually all in the excellent range) besides sinr is between 8 and 16 typically. The issues is, why do I still get such bad speeds and such bad latency spikes that i cant game(i play competitive, made money off it before my last company sold out to an east coast company and started routing us to Denver before coming back to California)I have the 4x4 mimo with direct visual line of sight. Anything I can do to get more stable speeds and ping?
