😂 yeah we have been playing around with a few silly dances recently. That one was probably the result of serious dehydration and mental breakdown but we got there! We are thinking we should do a watermaker review/walk through at some point as we didn’t really explain how we use it…because we didn’t really know how we would.
Amazing! So sorry for the 3rd degree nasal burns. Hopefully it was worth it. Thank you, we had so much fun making it and messing around. Just how 80’s can we go?!?
We are learning every day for sure. Something tells me that adventure will never end. The last few weeks have been a sudden boost in viewers which is great. Hopefully everyone is enjoying the journey and sharing with their friends. The more the merrier (and the more likely we will be able to keep on going).
Now you need a rain shower head mounted above one of your sugar scoops. I'm also wondering about the viability of a thermal solar water heater panel with a recirculating pump connected to your water heater tank.
Funny enough, we put a shower head holder up there but found that we used way more water and most of it missed us when the wind caught it 😂 still it’s there if we ever need it I guess. As for solar heating, we have been toying with the same sort of idea. Actually like the idea of getting an evaporator plate from a marine fridge and mounting it under the solar panels. That way we can collect the heat that builds up there and circulate it to the hot water tank. Could use a very small volume pump to keep the water moving thru it from the tank and hopefully get some heat from that. We also have a plan to divert solar power once the batteries are full so every day we can electrically heat water too. Still a while off getting that project underway tho.
Great UA-cam videos, we love them. And also one of the funniest boat channels we've ever seen. We almost can't stop watching and laughing, thanks to both of you. Looking forward to see the next one. Greetings from Mexico from the Swiss overland couple who would like to travel by sea.
Aw thank you! We are so glad you are enjoying the adventure - it makes all the difference to us when we know we’re not along out here 😁 There’s lots more of the journey to come - enjoy catching up on our more recent episodes as we explore the other islands in the Eastern Caribbean string!
I think we got close to a mental breakdown getting that one sorted. It was a combination of things. Faulty solenoid, air leak in the plumbing and a few other things I think.
What a great episode! Love your approach to being ever so slightly out of your depth... plan plan plan .. give it a try .. fix it. and it works! well done. However - fiberglass with no ppe!, not just your eys but I thought that stuff needed a full bio-siuit, not that I kow what I'm talking about, but take care of yourself!! (8:30 uncovered eyes again! ) I'm watching carefully and I will comment on any health and safety concerns - speaking of which all that water on the deck and dancing around with a bandaged foot - asking for a slip hazard :-) All that said, my favourite quote from this video has to be "I haven't done it before, but I have done paper mache" that quote needs to be used again and again.
I think you can tell we were going a little crazy by the end of this particular project. After some additional research, we found that the likely cause of the stinging eyes was the solvents used in the hardener. That said, we can’t be sure. Fiberglass is evil and wonderful stuff but yes, many lessons still to be learnt. And there are some more fiberglass projects to come. Sit tight with your HS clip board for that one. It feels like everything about living on a boat is being willing to try it and more willing to fix the mess you make. Sooner or later we might actually understand some of the things we are doing. (….Probably later)
@@RedSeas Thanks for the info. I looked at the leeson but the numbers don't look too good. Right now I am having a 3KW inverter driving a Karcher K2 pressure washer as the HP pump but thats neither efficient nor quiet (not even for a deaf old man like me ;-). So am looking at a pumptec 113C now and that should give me 20 l on 20 amp or 40 litres an hour with two of them. They are $380 each and I ordered one for testing now. I have a 400Ah LifePo4 bank and spending 80 ah for 80 litres of water would be ok.
OUTSTANDING
Thank you! Pleased you enjoyed it
better glass work than from robertson and c production line, well done!
High praise indeed lol I’m sure they all do it without goggles and get glass I. Their eyes too 😂
Wow! Good job you two! MORE Flash Dance bits please!

Bwah ha ha ha! Loved the whole "flashdancey" bit, I literally blew coffee out of my nose! . . . and I'm glad you have a working water system.

Nothing can detract from your good looks 😍😍
Haha! Days without a shower and bilge slim being the exception surely 😂
@@RedSeas ok. You win. That is why we commit to one another because sometimes we are not at our best.
🤣🤣 the ending 💃
Great job guys on that major install🙌
Haha thought you’d enjoy that! We needed some light relief after that fiasco 🤯🤣
it's great to see your experience grow, and your channel views too!

Hahaha we’re twinning! We just finished our watermaker project too!
This one nearly broken us. That’s for sure.
We looooved the end!!! Well done!!!
Haha - we may have gone slightly loopy with all the stress! So glad it’s over now 😅

Great episode guys, the ending almost cost me my laptop.
I was this close to spitting my beer all over it.
That is turning into a theme I think. Perhaps we need to add a “laptop at risk” warning to these episodes.
@@RedSeas I guess it is. Two options make your videos less funny or put in the warning. Or it's just me.
Famous last words ‘what can go wrong?’ 🤣😂
We should put that on a tshirt
Can't think of a single thing
🤩

You did not tell us how you got the water maker to work at the end. What did you do to fix it and get it working?
I think we got close to a mental breakdown getting that one sorted. It was a combination of things. Faulty solenoid, air leak in the plumbing and a few other things I think.

Iain you spoiled the Bri montage, I was really getting into it than the your face flashed in and the mood was spoiled 🥸…. Love you really…🥰
😂 surely it was the highlight?
@@RedSeas nop 😝
You have the water tap press fit together? I would be concerned it would eventually fail.
Fortunately we epoxy’s that fitting in place shortly after. It’s been holding strong now for a while which is great.
Did you fix it eventually?
If you stick around to the end you can see our minor metal breakdown when it finally works 😂
Its a ginger-fest!
That’s why it’s RED seas after all 😆
so what is the 12V High Pressure pump you use ?
We have a leeson high pressure pump. It’s probably not the most efficient pump out there as it draws quite a lot of power but it does the trick.
@@RedSeas Thanks for the info. I looked at the leeson but the numbers don't look too good. Right now I am having a 3KW inverter driving a Karcher K2 pressure washer as the HP pump but thats neither efficient nor quiet (not even for a deaf old man like me ;-).

Brioni…omg. You need to we’re Ppe all the time when you mix fibreglass. One would think you mistook it for paper-mash-a 😵💫🫣
What’s live without the odd health hazard 😂
…you might of guessed as you produced a few short vids I am catching up on your old vids I missed. 🫣
So much to catch up on. Can’t wait to see how you enjoy the journey
Glad Bri is all ok after fibreglass her eyes… not a good idea Brioni 🫣
It was a tense moment for sure
Brito I…..fibagrassing is exactly like papa-mash-a. 🤣😂 that’s why all little kids make an absolute fortune fixing fibreglass boats…. 🥸
Now there is a business proposition for someone.
