Made in the USA! Now that We are done building all the survival bags, packs and toss items for in the vehicles with low cost Schrade's and Morakniv's I've been going to TOPS and Buck knives so far. Wouldn't mind having the Backpacker Bowie. I am surprised it didn't seem to shave. Good weight for the size and with a touch up on the edge it should chop better. ?????????? One question Bryan. Do you have anything like a Work Sharp? I hope to get one this year and to date I have been putting really good edges on my knives, hatchets, axes and weed cutting blades with a drill and 5" sanding disc. I did get a Buck 656 Large Pursuit. Came not razor sharp yet will shave hair, full tang, good chopper. 4.5 blade, 9.5 long, 6.2 oz,o 0.140 thick with some SS properties somewhat rust resistant. Polyester sheath but seems well built till the snap decides to fail as most do. Jimping at the mid point of the spine seems for off hand use. Used quit a bit and it is holding up really good. The green colors match all the backpack gear I have in one setup.
