This one really gets me, the difference between the original photo of Griffith and this one. The original was a little silly, as creepy and otherworldly as Griffith looked their with his smile, it also felt like the kind of photo a friend would take. Not this one, now you just see this inhuman hawk of light.

I always loved the ending of the show cutting to griffith, someone we now despise more than anything, and although we saw his smug and sinister look in the end credits for the entire show, only know we understand the true meaning and potential foreshadowing. The absolutely miserable tone of the music and the haunting still shot of Griffith in the original ed is still so damn masterful and still gives me dread when thinking about that ending.
