I really appreciate that you included if the bag is able to stand on it own depending on the how packed it is. Not many reviewers speak on this, thank you sir!

9:26 it clamshells front AND back wow! 😮😊🎉 The moment where we see that THIS was a bag designed by people who OBT with too much shtuff--like most of the planet who are still practicing OBT (so hard to get right)... so gratifying! Nobody has time to go fishing for every damned thing. It doesn't matter that the interior is black because light can get everywhere! Who else does this at this price point 10:57 and upright stand when full. Wow money well spent! Thanks more making this video! 🙌🏾

thank you so much for your feedback! For me, I still honestly find One Bag Travel very hard since we normally buy souvenirs for our family back home when we travel, and it adds up to the weight, that's why I ended up with using a rolling luggage to partner with this already sizable backpack. But it was definitely useful as when the luggage was already full, everything else that couldn't fit, like laundry or more souvenirs ended up in this Tomtoc!

@@shanebellare Liked and subscribed for sure. This is the first video of yours I have watched. I also enjoyed your review of the Bellroy 6L sling bag. I purchased the bag mainly to carry both my CPAP machine and laptop in one bag since both routinely need extra attention by TSA.

@@MarvinLikoPuha Thank you so much! the 40L Tomtoc is the perfect size for that!

    Disadvantages:
    1. The backpack material is not made from Cordura, which might affect its durability compared to bags made from Cordura.
    2. The quality of the compression straps is not as high as those found on Tomtoc slings, potentially impacting their durability.
    3. The sternum strap buckle is not heavy-duty, which could raise concerns about its long-term reliability.
    4. The water bottle holder has limited capacity, making it challenging to accommodate larger bottles.
    5. Accessing the main compartment requires unbuckling the compression straps first, which could be inconvenient.
    6. There are no additional secret pockets on the back or sides, limiting hidden storage options.
    7. The thin side handle may be less comfortable for pulling the bag from overhead compartments or placing it on luggage.
    8. The sternum strap may feel too tight when adjusted, causing discomfort for some users.
    9. The lack of optimal concealment on the back may compromise the security of items stored inside.
    10. The bag's stability when placed flat may be suboptimal, requiring adjustments to maintain balance.

Indeed. Last year I traveled SE asia with only one 28L backpack which didn't have hip belt. I booked 6pm bus ticket and checked out my hotel at 11am. I spent 7 hours go around city walking carrying my fully packed bag.
I made 2 conclusion that day. I need bigger backpack that can still fit into overhead compartment. And it most have hip belt.
Decathlon Forclaz 40L travel backpack is similarly priced and it has hip belt!
I think i'm gonna try that one out

Man I love Osprey packs. In fact I own their 68L Kestrel and 28L Apogee packs (one i mentioned above).

Any chance that you can make a review of the 28L version? I was thinking it would be perfect for a good 2-3 days trip. Previously I chose the Aer 24L City pack pro over this 40L Tomtoc bag because the latter is too bulky for me. But after a while, I realized the 24L isn't enough specially when I bring my drone with me during travel. Thanks man!

    • @shanebellare
      @shanebellare  Місяць тому +1

hi! thank you the request! I'll look into it if it's becomes available in the PH. Are you currently using any camera focused backpack like the Wandrd Prvke 21L or Peak Design? I don't have a drone, but I've been using the Wandrd lately, and the roll top is perfect for a 2 to 3 day trip + fits a small drone! Although price is very far from the Tomtoc 40L.

@@shanebellare I haven't really tried using other travel bags aside from a few Lowepro backpacks I used in rotation over the years. Lately, I was looking for a minimalist bag that I can utilize for domestic travel which also has a good tech compartment for my laptop and other accessories including a small drone. That's when I found the Aer City Pack Pro which only has 24L. It was actually a good buy despite the fact that it has limited space for other items. I will try to look into the brands you mentioned. Thanks again and I hope you keep posting videos. I'm already a subscriber. 😊

Thanks for the support! While the wandrd prvke is 21L is a good camera bag, it doesn’t have the same kind of tech organization that’s found in another favorite bag of mine, the 26L Alpaka Elements Backpack Pro . You can also check out my review of that to see how I loaded it out. :)
