Dan you are right on target with the right shoulder moving on top and with the drill to get the right shoulder moving. Great source of power and right wrist bend retention. Thanks.
thank you so much dan for answering my question regarding the right shoulder... really appreciate you taking time out to make this video. clears alot of my concepts cant wait to work on this. THANK YOU!!!
Very helpful explanations, Dan. Thx! For my swing, I try to feel my right shoulder moving down and thru. When my swing is off, I tend to get a cut swing with driver and poor compression with irons. I think the cause is my hips outrace my upper body. Does that sound right?
Thanks very much Dan. This is definitely one of THE most subtle and difficult critical points in the swing. I tend to pull down too close to my body which of course steepens the club while not leaving enough space to make solid contact. I very much appreciate your effort to get us to think about this correctly.
Hi Dan.thanks for the video. I too lack compression, the thought of getting the right shoulder more forward is that to the target or forward and down towards the ball. Thanks Pete
Great video as always. Do you use trackman in every lesson or are you just fine with video? Maybe a video about more modern teaching vs more traditional teaching, or is it really an advantage to use trackman all the time in lessons?
Trackman is a great tool, but it is just that. It’s one of many great tools available to coaches, your eyes being the most important. With experience you can generally see what someone is doing within the first swing or two, what all the tech does is help to explain to students what they’re doing and it gives them tangible feedback when they start to make a change. Some people love them, some not so much, I think Trackman is an indispensable tool for the quality of data you get from it.

I needed to get my shoulder forward more. wow. what a difference!
Great video Dan
Great insight to this move and simple drills. Thank you
Very important for individuals who struggle with excess axis tilt imo
Hi Dan, new subscriber, wondered if you have video’s to help stop coming over the top?
Thank you
This will definitely help me in getting my handicap under 10. Thanks Dan 👍🏻
I’m definitely the second player.. also all your vids have really helped me, I find your instruction really to understand

@@DanWhittakerGolf Crossfield is using it all the time in his lessons, its like he has no swing philosophy, just being pragmatic.
Can you do a video on left shoulder rising too early and arms too slow in transition please?
Right shoulder moves down plane.... Down out and forward. Text book golf machine stuff here. Look up Lynn Blake and right shoulder.
The right arm moves down behind you then the shoulder moves this is the way the club shollows?
