    1. Granola bars
Nature Valley granola bars contain bioengineered food ingredients, which means they’re GMO. GMO foods contain glyphosate, an herbicide linked to cancer. Granola bars also contain sugar (probably beet sugar), seed oils, and refined starches. One Nature Valley granola bar serving contains almost 7 teaspoons of sugar!
    2. Agave syrup
This sweetener is often considered diabetic or keto-friendly because it’s low on the glycemic index. Agave is 85% fructose, which the liver must process. The liver treats fructose the same way as alcohol-like a toxin!
    3. Flavored yogurt
You probably wouldn’t consider flavored yogurt as junk food because it’s marketed as a healthy, convenient probiotic rich in calcium and protein. At 30 grams of sugar per serving, most flavored yogurts have more sugar than a candy bar! Many probiotics in flavored yogurt won't even survive your stomach acid.
Look for whole-fat yogurt, Bulgarian yogurt, or Greek yogurt without the added sugar. Kefir is an even better option and has significantly more friendly bacteria.
    4. Non-dairy creamers
Non-dairy creamers are often considered a healthy alternative to milk but contain unhealthy ingredients like high fructose corn syrup, glucose syrup, maltodextrin, and trans fats. Check the ingredients to ensure they don’t contain soy, corn, canola, or cottonseed oil. It’s best to just use regular cream or half-and-half.
    5. Soy milk
Soy products like soy milk can cause estrogenic effects like the development of breast tissue in men. Soy milk is not really milk at all!
    6. Fast-food lettuce
Dressings on fast-food salads contain seed oils, trans fats, hidden starches, and high fructose corn syrup. Fast-food lettuce is coated in a preservative called sodium bisulfite and rinsed in a chlorine wash.
    7. Puffed cereals/rice cakes
A chemist who worked for Quaker studied rats and noticed they would die after being fed puffed cereal.
Thank you for the notes Dr Berg!
    😺👍

Boy oh boy.. and that's the very short list of garbage food sold in the store! Obesity and Type II (and types III, IV Diabetes) ARE ABSOLUTELY RAGING IN AMERICA. Tons of channels right here on YT... telling people how to make all these yummy foods... VASTLY THINGS LIKE BREADS/PIES, CAKES, SNACKS.. all horribly high in health destroying carbs/sugars.
You cant say anything to them or that audience..cause they get all wound up and tell you.... YOU DO YOU AND I'LL DO ME... stupid ignorant stuff like that... YUP!

I just came back from a three month holiday in Spain. I was on a budget so I ate a lot in my airbnbs. I bought lots of tin food (meats and seafood) to make things easier. I also ate out. Every ingredient listed was either meat or seafood, vegetables if any were present and spices such as salt, paprika, parsley, etc. Not a single ingredient listed was a preservative or something else that I needed to look up. Just food! Why this can’t be done in the US? And everything was in olive oil!

They may be different to those in the US, but they def have them listed. Food in glass jars rather than tins most often contains little to no preservatoves though.

I can’t wait for RFK jr. to help rehaul the food industry, particularly processed foods. Everything from food additives, chemicals, and pesticides commonly found in our American food products. So great of him to bring this to light for voters to really consider: stronger regulations and healthier food standards to fight the growing rates of chronic illness, which he attributes in part to the food industry's corrupt practices. Soy milk can cause breast development in men?
    Yup.
Fun story: I found lumps in my breasts. I'm a guy. GP sent me to a general surgeon who took a quick look, said "Yup - cysts. Totally benign. Stop drinking soy milk."
Wait, I said. How do you know I'm drinking soy?
"See it all the time." he said.
But I only use it in my coffee. He maintained that's enough to do it.

At present, I am 32 years of age and have observed that consuming cereal induces severe stomach cramps and discomfort. Additionally, I experience heart palpitations, which I believe may be attributed to the excessive sugar intake over the years, potentially leading to an electrolyte imbalance in my body. Furthermore, I have noticed similar reactions when consuming high carbohydrate meals. However, I am pleased to report that adopting a diet rich in meat and vegetables has significantly improved my overall well-being. Puffed cereal should be made using an extruder. I operated one for frito lay making cheeto puffs. An extruder is a machine that mixes in this case cornmeal and water. It’s heated and put under pressure. It lacks oxygen and when it comes out the end of the extruder it puffs. There’s no chemical involved. After extruder it goes through oven, then a tumbler (looks like concrete mixer) tumbler is where a spray mixture of oil and seasoning is applied. So, my theory is it’s not the puff of the food that’s unhealthy it’s the spray mixture. A non puffed food would possibly have seasoning applied at another stage with less oil. My point is it’s likely that any puffed food could have effects but it’s not because it’s puffed, but the seasoning application

    • @SpamMouse
      @SpamMouse 3 місяці тому

Yes the seasoning is a problem too, it will be the cheapest options used, but as for the puffed nature of these things is that it increases the surface area and thus when passing through the stomach/gut will cause a high insulin spike and thus be a strain upon the liver. It's like the DB video talking about protein powders.

Thanks for your good work. Diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes a few years ago, and I know where it came from. My careless eating habits of lots of Italian foods stuffed with processed carbs. Anyway, my Filipina wife started cooking for me a vegetable called Bittermelon because the story is it helps reduce blood sugar levels. I looked it up and it was said to be negligible in that regard, but anecdotally I can tell you in fact it does work. A few hours after I eat it, my sugar levels are 10-20 pts lower than when I don't eat it. It helped me go from A1C over 15, down to A1C of 5.5. Pretty good eh?

That's great, you've done it the right way. The secret to growing foods that don't need pesticides or herbicides is in the SOIL, (good quality soil with the added nutrients & compost etc) and companion planting. Plant agriculture needs to be taught in schools now & especially in the future. As the world's population increases, it will be a necessity for people to grow their own food. As it was done in the past. The other important issue is that we cannot take water for granted (don't waste it)
