The musician story resonated with me. I grew up in the hotel business… and everyone wants a discount. I got so used to pleasing people by discounting the rates I just realized I’ve been discounting myself. I always want to give everyone a “deal” and not charge my true worth.

Same. I'm a lawyer (or used to be - miserable too). But I was so determined to never 'overcharge' a client, even with clients I'd had for years, who could clearly afford it and never complained. I was burning myself out.
I told myself I was being honest. But in truth it was mainly driven by fear: I had this intense fear not of losing the client per se, but of being looked down on by a client, like "you are inefficient." Or being confronted.
It's still a good trait but for the wrong motives and I took it too far. I slowly learned to charge more accurately what I was providing, value-wise.
And I learned how weird many people are: If you significantly undercharge but still provide a great service, you'd think clients would be SUPER impressed and grateful.
But it frequently doesn't work that way at all. It's like when you buy a no-brand Chinese smartphone that still has the same or better specs than your double-priced Iphone. Yet MANY people will not think "wow this is fantastic!" They think "meh, well at least I got a cheaper phone." People are WEIRD.

Love your videos, but respectfully need to say I feel you’ve misunderstood or are misrepresenting Jung’s concept of shadow. It’s not primarily the ‘trash’ to be spotlighted and discarded. As we go through childhood and begin to mature, we form a persona, a ‘face to the world’ according to Jung. Any aspects of our personality that don’t fit with that persona, we deny or repress, and they slip into our subconscious and become our shadow. Importantly, the shadow is not necessarily ‘bad’…Jung emphasized suspending judgement. For Jungians, the goal of shadow work is integration, not primarily dealing with past hurts, etc. Learning to accept parts of yourself, without necessarily indulging them.

10:00 didn't ever make that much sense to me. Let's say you have a child and someone sexually abuses them. You feel hate remorse maybe you even beat the attacker close to death. How are we that? What part of us can relate to the attacker if we've never abused a child like that. Is it wrong to get upset at the attacker? Here's one more example, let's say I think Hitler is a real peice o shit for committing mass genocide. When have I committed mass genocide my self? I don't see anything of myself in Hitler I just thinks he's a peice o shit. Can someone help me understand better

I wanted to do more research on shadow work, just as I started this popped up. I think there are lot of gems in this video. A few of the techniques I've done before and worked well but some new stuff too. Thanks for the information, I find you explain stuff really well. I love your shadow work videos and identity shifting videos the most.
I'd love to see more identity shifting stuff, particularly any help or advice on finding out what you want your new identity to be, how to "create your character" if you will. Thanks again for great content Clark!

I’m not an expert but if they aren’t sorry for what they did, forget about them, if they are sorry then look at why they are sorry and if it’s genuine. If it’s not genuine and it’s because they want something from you forget about them, but you don’t owe being nice to them because they’re related to you, especially if they weren’t and still aren’t now

I wish I could explain how this fits perfectly into the path I'm on, but that's pretty much impossible.
I love synchronicities. I am grateful that I have awakened and it's beautiful to watch the newly scripted life story of mine unfolding.
I'm reclining back into my chair and I let my soul to think for me, to act for me, to speak for me. But the tiny little bugs that were still remaining had to be worked out and with these techniques I achieved it.
Thank you for your work. I know that you also know the things I have come to know these past few years throughout awakening. It's awesome to see that more and more people rise up to their full potential.

17:59 where he mentioned u talking to Ur own shadow etc
It's mentioned in 'no bad parts' that we have multiple parts within us so we gotta do IFS(internal family system/inner work) aka which he said talk to ur shadow ("part") and ask what do u want, what caused u etcc
No part of us is bad, some parts had to be overprotective of us to survive from a trauma.
talk to it, let the inner child take rest now and let the inner adult take thelead.
u r Ur own hero whom u awaited for soo long to rescue u, not a superman or someone else, it was u all this time.

Oh my gosh, the mirror thing at 10:40 just solved the issue I’ve been having with a friend today. I was somehow resenting him for being so vocal about things that annoy him. And I didn’t understand why that bothered me so much, I just couldn’t find the underlying topic. Now I get it! I judge him for showing his bad mood because I judge myself for showing my bad moods. I don’t allow this to myself, I tell myself it’s bad. And this creates the cognitive dissonance that if I believe it’s bad in me then it gotta be bad in him too. But on another level I know it’s healthy and authentic to express negative emotions in that way. Do that’s something I need to work on. :)

@clarkkegley Hi a very cool, special human! Glad I discovered you and your channel. I hear you, I feel you, writing this in the moment w/o any comparisons to your other “stuff” because I’m still binging on your content… So pardon in advance if something similar has been answered/addressed in the past… However, if and when you feel like giving a shot to someone/something - I’d be delighted to connect. I have some personal thoughts (that’s why it’s not in the open comment); and I even believe I could inspire new/more content for your channel. All good vibes guaranteed! 🤓 P.S.: there’s direct correlation to UA-cam, which I believe will make your time worth. I realize and respect (and congrats = successful) how busy you are, however, if you’d consider to give it a shot and connect for a few minutes (be in your pj, sip your coffee, cuddle with your girl and your dog), I’d just ask if it could be directly with you (although I truly believe your team is exceptional). So if one day you’re up for it - send me a note. Cheers! Have a great weekend!

My "forgiveness letter" was in the form of a dream. I had a step grandmother who I lived with along with my grandfather. i had a falling out with her. I was 18 and i felt she was being really controlling... she was on a lot of painkillers so i don't think she was really in her right mind anymore and I wanted to leave the house/run away because it felt like she was always on my ass/picking fights with me and nit picking everything about me/everything i did (i literally didnt do anything. I was not a normal teenager... i was so sheltered. So i feel like she really had no reason to constantly point out all my faults when they were never really that bad compared to most teens) She wouldn't let me go and kept saying that I had something in my purse i wasnt suppose to or i was going to rip them off and she stood in the doorway yelling at me, she headbut me then pushed me onto my bead. She then took my purse and went through it.. found nothing and stormed out of the bedroom yelling im sorry in the most sarcastic and angry way possible. That was the last time i saw her. I was angry for a really long time. Some psychiatrists said i had mild ptsd from it. I wished that she would die many times... and i meant it. She eventually died of lung cancer.... after she passed I was still angry but at the same time i was very sad and had so much guilt that i wished that on her in the first place. Because i once loved that woman as my own grandmother. I once looked to her constantly for approval. After she died none of these feelings went away. I thought after she was gone so would all the feelings be gone too. But no. They may have been even worse/more intense. My release from it finally came after a year or so in the form of a dream. In the dream I was a younger version of myself. I was at my grandparents house. But like in spirit it seemed. I kept feeling like someone was trying reach me, to get my attention but i was the only one in the house. I kept running away. I was scared. Finally I saw her. It was my step grandmother and she stood there. I ran to her and hugged her and I cried and I told her I was sorry. I apologized to her. And she said it's okay, I know. And In that moment she was the youger version of herself when I first met her when I was a kid. In that moment i felt how much she loved me and how much I loved her and I forgave her. That was my closure. I truly believe that we all need closure for these things and we can't move on if we don't get it. You can pretend to move on but it will still hinder you. Even in her death there was no closure. Only in facing her head on, even though i was scared and having forgiveness was i able to get closer.

Question… I love this topic and I found myself through my own healing journey naturally applying these ways to heal the shadow or naturally becoming conscious because of my own meditation practice and willingness to self reflect I guess However something that keeps coming up for me is narcissism… I recently within the past several years of doing this work I’ve come to terms with the fact that I grew up with narcissistic abuse and my ex husband also was abusive and narcissistic and I seem to keep attracting this pattern and reenacting it I digress, as far as projection goes I keep bringing it back to myself and asking is this also in me? Which is a scary thought but the more I think that I’ve come to be willing to look at that and have some acceptance with it over and over again I think it’s very possible that it is in me and that we all have narcissistic tendencies but as far as growing up an abusive and dysfunctional household my question to you is am I narcissistic also?
