Same! I've seen many actors kind of say this or some variation, and then act like it's a joke. Acting is essentially a "gig" job. You get paid for the "gig", if you can live off that for awhile you might not pick up another one right away, but eventually the money will run out and you'll have to get another "gig". That means sometimes you'll have to take a job you might not want because you need to work. I think a lot of people don't realize that while actors make a lot more money per job than most regular people, their expenses are probably quite a bit higher too.
We all know the reason why Tim Russ wanted this role. He wanted to be known for being on a series that was going to last for a few seasons. He didnt want to be known for combing the desert and saying 'We aint found s&*t.'

Tim Russ is an awesome Vulcan actor. Probably the best barring Mark Leonard (Sarek). Only one who comes close is maybe… *maybe* Joleen Blalock, but she’s a bit behind, if for nothing else sheer number of appearances.
Yes, Tim Russ was very good in the role, but to be fair, Tuvok and Sarek are the only two fully realized Vulcan characters in all of _Star Trek,_ so there's really not a lot of competition in the "best Vulcan actor" category.

Interesting how the funniest and most lively people always play the best Vulcans.
actors often play roles that are opposite to themselves. not always, but often.
And androids, Klingons and Jaffa.
Jolene Blalock is an absolute ditz in real life lol

Apparently Leonard Nimoy's approach was not to play an emotionless character, but one who was always on the brink of an emotional breakout.
Coming from an SG-1 fan, seeing Robert Picardo dunking on Stargate is endearing.
Whybisbit endearing for.him to make fun of the show..isn't thst what dunking on means or am I wrong?
