Is the cornstarch meant to make the texture like a jelly like while mixing on the stove?

I used the Haden variety of Mango but any variety should work.

It does not set as well with tinned mango pulp. It’s probably because of whatever they add in it.
Would I need to double the amount of cornstarch when I make two portions?

My three portions of mango pudding didn't set even after I left it in the fridge overnight. I took it out this morning to heat it up and add jelly powder. Didn't anyone detect the floury after taste?

I made this dessert with Pineapple. Put a layer of crushed biscuits at the bottom. Garnished with grated chocolate 🍫 and nuts. It was out of this world.
Did you use crushed (tinned) pineapple? And, how much? That is a great idea.

Mine lost the shape an hour later after demolding it . What went wrong ?
Did you cook it till it thicken enough and did you allow it to set till it was firm?
Possibly didn't thicken enough as I didn't put the accurate cornstarch
