Well thank you David! That’s a cool thing about this community. There is no competition. We want everyone’s channel to grow so we give shout outs!!👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
Todd, Congratulations on 300 subscribers! Sassafras trees are amazing! We had some tree local and we would take some roots and make tea from them. It was delicious. It is great smelling wood as well when burnt!
I've never seen sassafras before but there's nothing like a campfire with great smelling wood, an adult beverage, and good conversation! Thanks for bringing us along.
New subscriber from S. E. Ohio. Root beer wood( sassafras) is a very unique wood & makes beautiful lumber if you can find it. And the roots of saplings makes a delicious sassafras tea. Have a great day and be safe
Hey John thanks for subbing and commenting!! Yes I have always heard of sassafras tea out of the roots but I’ve never tried it. It looks beautiful on the inside when splitting. Thanks for watching👍🏻
Keep up the good work. I’m glad we don’t have any that I know of around me. The reason would be I d laugh all the way through it saying sassafras over and over faster and faster. I’m such a dork. Lol
I’ll take the green you can keep the snow up there! 🤣 We have already mowed once. Today we are actually having snow flurries 🤷♂️ Appreciate ya stopping by Chris👍🏻🍻
Todd, you have a good wood hound selection of stickers, we finally ordered some stickers, and will be sending them out soon, Stihl Power may blow The WST sticker off, a little Duck Tape may help! 😂🚜🪵👍🏼🇺🇸
My sticker selection is missing one from the true firewood legend!! The man who makes it all look easy! When you get stickers I would be honored to have one Larry!👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
That’s sassafras alright. Definitely a unique and pleasant smell. Looks like you had a beautiful day to get outside again. Thanks for the shout out friend! Those are some good lookin’ stickers. And congratulations on 300 subs! Keep up the awesome content. That bark box on the 400 sounds good.
Thanks Mike. We sure have had a good run of weather lately! It’s been real windy for about three days but it sure did dry out the ground! Appreciate ya!!👍🏻🍻
Another great video Todd! Never had any Sassafras before. Love splitting a good smelling wood. Congrats on the 300 subs also! You’ve created one of the best firewood channels on you tube if you ask me. One of a few I always look forward to. You got what it takes brother!Keep it up!👍🏻👍🏻
Hey Rod I appreciate the kind words brother. It means a lot coming from a seasoned veteran like you! Your channel was one of the first channels I watched religiously and you always supported Evan over on his channel. Thanks for your support and as long as I’m still having fun I’m still gonna be putting Videos out!👍🏻👍🏻🍻
TOA!! That gosh darn Stihl will cut anything! Sure jealous of your wood varieties. No sassy wood up here. Nice threads you were wearing. Congrats on 300 subs my friend. I agree with FM and everything he said. Take care my friend! WST
Hey Mike that Stihl sure does. You should think about coming over to the good side💪🏻🤣 Appreciate the new threads. I think blue is my new color. That shirt made me loose 20lbs on camera!!🤣 Appreciate the shirt and the support!!👍🏻👍🏻🐿
Dealt with it quite a few times, got em on my property, light , very straight, easy splits..👍. Burned kinda black , smoky . I believe cause of the oils in it . My son in law boiled the roots and made a tea , he drank it 🤣🤣. Later on cool dude Todd👍👍. Good vid.
Yes sir Richy I do believe that the bark is what holds the oils and fragrance. Most of the bark was falling off of this so hopefully it doesn’t burn with black suet. Appreciate ya watching brother!!👍🏻🍻🍻
John when I was growing up we had one in the front yard the we had a tire swing in. It was probably 30” plus at the trunk! I always enjoyed the smell of kicking our feet off the bark on the tire swing🤣 Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Great video and shouts, Todd. Very cool :)
