its an absolute joy to watch this artist at his best,,what makes this such a visual feast is the excellent camera work, concentrating on whats going on instead of changing camera every two seconds like in most vids...well done to the film crew..pauls at his best here
Yokohama is a short bullet train ride from central Tokyo. The Jam had a following in Japan. I "borrowed" SNAP from a LP library way back in 1984 in Nagoya. Good for Paul, keep on rocking.
Love watching this, you can tell in his voice and in his body language he was really up for this, sounds awesome.......shame he got rid of Steve, class drummer
i'm lucky. I saw the tour forAs Is Now at Avaon. he rocked! They kicked ass. All the rockers from AIN. A long In the Crowd, SHout Friday street and That's Entertanment! I HAD CHils. Except the Brits and a few others they didn't get the rock history of that's Entertainment. I DID!!! Wow! The show was about a month after this one.
A lot has been said about Weller's different & distinct musical periods ie. The Jam, Style Council, Solo etc.......I guess everyone's got their preferences BUT you can't deny the energy and immense sense of freedom & discovery of youth. In this video at 20:30 he performs a Jam classic "In The Crowd". Compare this performance with this video /watch?v=GphDS1FKAEE&lcor minute 32:33. I tried analysing why the older version sounds better. For starters Rick Buckler plays a punchier drum rhythm.

I was there. And this day was The Who’s 1st. live in Japan since their debut.
Wo, Weller´s got so much adrenaline between his sets, he´s well pumped and raring for the next song...Legendary
