- The Shivering Isles is fantastic. I shouldn't even have to say more than that, but UA-cam likes it when I type stuff in this box that nobody reads so here goes. Sheogorath's Quest in Oblivion was amazing and the idea of getting an expansion based around that is even more amazing. And you know what, that is pretty much what we got. So here are the 5 best shivering isles quests.

David Zanin apparently if you get him 100 of each the quest finishes, so long as you have spare inventory space it’s not a hard quest to complete
@@davezanin1863 That quest is literal to it's name. To it's detriment. It really doesn't end. It might be worse than even the Nirnroot quest.
One of the most memorable quests I came across is "The Great Divide" in the town of Split. The town of Split is situated directly on the border between Mania and Dementia, and the town is filled with duplicates of every citizen, one for the Mania side and one for the Dementia side. In order to complete the quest, you have to kill all of the duplicates of one side. What makes it so great is the fact that each duplicate is a split personality of an original, and each person in town is effected by their duplicate in some way and, despite being duplicates, are essentially different people.
I wish they'd let you choose which versions you want to keep individually. For people that prefer the Mania version of one person, but the Dementia version of another.
I helped dementia only because the counting lady gave me alchemy ingredients

And I love the Xedillian Quest, the 'Fang is an awesome sword!
I once started the entire game again once I got to him and realised I was a khajit. I really wanted that dog.
@Vulpitza Roz Well, for the most part I play Oblivion on 360, jus about given up on the PS3 version (no Trophies... no DLC...), though, I do have it on PC and, unlike console where I'm only missing Horse Armour, I have all DLC, same with Morrowind!
@@CD-Gaming I thought I remembered a quest where you could get a dog but in my last play-through I was a khajiit. It all makes sense now!

If i'm being honest, i absolutely loved Baiting the Trap. I really wish there were more quests like it, or for that matter, maybe even a separate game entirely that expands on the concept
Also, the sword you get (duskfang/dawnfang), is really damn good and i love it, mostly because it completely recharges every single time it switches
And it repairs itself too, whenever it switches. Once you get it, you never need to worry about it breaking on you during combat.
A Baiting the Trap mod maybe? Buy an akaviri ruin and set up traps and choose monsters. The adventurers may not even make it that far sometimes.
goodness gracious do i love dawnfang. it's such a mysterious sword of unknown origin, it could literally be from the daedra themselves (my bets on meridia). and the fact that the sword itself thirsts for blood and gets a buff when you kill a certain amount? completely unrivaled.
I really love the entire Shivering Iles main quest line...To BECOME Sheogorath! The perks are awesome! You can summon flesh atronachs, and both dark seducers and Saints! Granted only once a day each, but they are superior sidekicks while they last. AND you can get them as permanent escourts while adventuring IN the shivering Isles.
The escorts are not better than the adoring fan so they are pretty useless :(
Well, at least the escorts can fight! The adoring fan does bugger all except be annoying as hell.

you can permanently keep them if you paralyze them, wall through a door, save, and reload the save

only when you are playing the game for the first time. once I found out about this quest i just collect the tongs and calipers from the very beggining and when i actually arrive i always have them prepared already

Man, in my opinion "Shivering Isles" was the best DLC ever!!! Not just from Oblivion but from all games...! I played a lot of different games but have never experienced such a good DLC! Sheogorath, the two different regions representing the different states of mind. Killing the big gate keeper and later have to create a new one like you are creating a frankenstein monster...! Shivering Isles was great on so many levels!!! And...Hirrus Clutumnus, of course...!

On one playthrough I did the Shivering Isles right at the beginning, so that I can turn the main quest into an intra-daedric war. Show those puny followers if Mehrunes Dagon who is the boss-daedra!
I did that, and it was the only time Martin died in my game.Oh well.
Your place 4, the quest where you can decide what is going to happen to the adventurers is my favorite one.
When I was 14 I saved the game before the decisions. So I can torture them again and again.

I thought the paranoia quest would've been cooler if it turns out Syl was trying to kill herself (I mean everyone's crazy in this land) and then when you find out, she's like, well you solved the mystery and then she dies but there's already a quest where you help with someone's suicide and also it would kinda ruin a later quest.

1. "Baiting The Trap" I loved watching the Adventurers' minds break.
2. Can't remember the name, but I think the part where you fight your Doppelganger is really cool. The fact the game copies your exact player character? Oh, it's really cool, imo.
Oblivion is a great game, so is this DLC.
Edit: the fact when we push him, he dosen't just fall.. damn, even the Hero of Kvatch is eager to end this guy.

The felldew one sticks in my mind because on on run I ran out and withdrew to death and on another I got through the whole quest on one dose with sneak and invisibility potions. As a recovering addict I found that quest relatable lol
The dog Ushnar gave me was the same, but it died in the arena because it attacked the yellow team champion. Not gonna lie, I was proud of him for attacking her 👌

The Shivering Isles DLC is great and the questline in it is one of the the best questlines in The Elder Scrolls, period. I really like the quest where you rebuild the gatekeeper as well as the quest where you defeat Jyggalag and become the mad god.

I lost the dog that Ushnar gave me... he WAS following me but then I guess he decided he has a life to live and just left..
The reward for killing the guy is ring of happiness, and in his ridiculously long last words he mentioned some wizard gave him it, said it’ll make him happy, but he stopped wearing it because that makes him not feel like himself. An irony too relatable to people who struggles to find joy and happiness irl.
That quest hit me pretty damned hard, not gonna lie. I did not expect to find an all-to-real depiction of clinical depression in all the comical takes on madness.
The settlement quest in Fellmoor is probably one of my faves cause you get to play with the games physics. The reward is pretty good, too.
Since I understand his love of dogs, I always persuade or bribe Bhisha to move to Bliss. I also wrote a mod that allowed me to give Ushnar's skinned hound to him. He named it Skippy and now it follows him around all day. He's a very happy Khajiit!

The quest with the depressed man was SO SAD it made me want to cry.
Shivering Isles is GOATed, and I honestly only have one gripe with it, and it’s that fucking quest “Addiction” for the main story, if I didn’t love the rest of the DLC, there’s no way in hell I would play though it again.

Shivering Isles could be it's own game.
One problem with Vitharn is that it's glitched for me and the npc's wouldn't do what they were supposed to once I gave them their stuff. So I was stuck there, forever. Because you aren't allowed to leave.
2:24 I had this happen to me, but not with Ushnar, it was with someone else. They had 76K. I remember seeing that and going "A club, wait...is that a...special club? Because it looks like he has...over 70,000 of them...Let me just take it...oh...it really is that many. Ok. I'll steal 'em all and settle my entire thieve's guild fencing all at once."

Shivering isles is honestly the best DLC Bethesda has ever done! The quests are amazing and characters are hilarious, I hope they reintroduce it in the next ES game, or maybe even in ESO

if you're a khajit and meet the orc guy, he will then summon his dog to attack you.
the dog will die and reappear later again to attack you until the guard kill him.
I love attention to detail like that.

I found a glitch with 100 and some thousand clubs before too lol. I found them on some person who was dead in a cage. They were super heavy so I just dropped them and held them in front of me to walk around. I'd just pick them up to go through a door and then drop them again. I did that until I got somewhere to sell them all lol

Their was this one thing I did in the DLC that should of been a side quest but wasn’t. This NPC told me to find the remains of the NPC’s deceased sister and give the remains to the Ghost of the NPC’s deceased sister in this place on the map called the Hill of suicides beaches 👍
