Woah this video kinda blew up! When I first made this series it had like less then 20 views for months so I put aside the idea. I enjoyed doing this challenege and wouldn't mind returning to it in the future! 😁
Why do I get the impression that a naked Florida Man who runs through the portal and starts fist fighting a gromite is the kind of champion Sheogorath would dream of?
When the room turned to butterflies as a kid my mind melted and I fell in love with this game even more. Also I never thought I would be scared of haskill
Ikr its one of the coolest effects I've seen since and I loved how if you messed with Sheogorath he would put you in your place real quick as a Daedra would lol 😂
Well yeah even on the normal difficulty if you don't do near perfect levelling you get fucked. Even on the lowest difficulty with bad levelling you will get screwed after the hardest enemies start scaling.
well you only level based on the progress of your selected major skills, so if you pick major skills and then never level them you can become extremely buff at level 1 and the world never scales, but obviously that's not a very fun way to play the game lol
@@circleturtles You could also never sleep to stay at lvl1 and have mastered majors, it's really the only way to play for replays for me since different classes can have major differences in power and scale better or worse, though you'll miss a lot of content if you do it for a first playthrough.
The difficulty scaling is appropriate when you consider the power of some of the builds. The Mage's Guild questline combined with max alchemy can make you nearly unstoppable.
Ok no joke, but this is kind of exactly how I played it the first time. So, I started my first play through of oblivion and I decided lets do this weird door mission, not realizing it was the shivering isles DLC. I beat the entire thing then I go back to the capital city and lleveled up for the first time and realized that it could've probably been way easier. I leveled up 15 times the first time I actually slept in a bed somewhere after doing the shivering isles quest line.
I find it a bit of a stretch that you didn't know the SHIVERING ISLES was part of the SHIVERING ISLES DLC, when the quest pops up randomly with all the OTHER dlc quests when you exit the sewer. Ignoring the idea that you managed to complete the whole thing, on your very first character, didn't sleep once during the whole event, and still didn't figure out you shouldn't have been there yet.
When you first meet the Gatekeeper he is fighting a group of adventurers,i think 2 or 3 of them die leaving a full set of steel armour and a weapon each, really helps at the start. Great channel btw 👍
I did enjoy Dragonborn quite a bit(it’s actually been one of my favorite gaming experiences ever) and I thought Dawnguard had some great moments(my jaw hit the floor when I saw the snow elf for the first time, something about that was so freaking awesome to me, and the two dragons in the frozen lake were also a good moment) but it could have been better overall.
When I was a kid I would always hit up the shivering isles after I’d make a character cause there’s a group of adventures with steel armor and weapons who die to the gatekeeper as soon as you see him
You should do more, seeing people play The Shivering Isles is always a pleasure, and with your challenge on top it's great. I love how it is as if Sheogorath compelled your character to come to his realm and enter naked, to be sure to get the best Champion
What I like to do is, when you're supposed to escort jauffree and martin to cloud ruler temple just don't. It's fun to take them to like kvatch and watch them fight monsters. They're great pawns.
You have to summon them into the butterfly room with the console cos they won't follow you, then when they get there they only say I HAVE NO GREETING. But they'll still follow you around and fight. You might be able to fix their dialogue with a behavior package or something. If anybody figures it out, I need to know.
@@-roejogan- Theres a mod that called 'Shivering isles door usable' which allow companions go through the strange door. heres the link: www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/14739/?tab=description
Here is the thing guys, in lower levels when the goblins use their weapon they deal actually LESS damage to you instead using their hands, when their weapon breaks and they attack you with their hands they will deal WAY more damage. Meaning that the dagger is a joke and this little frog thing almost killed him with 2 hits, because it does not use a weapon.
Alright, listen here BUDDY. I demand you start this series back up because of how entertaining it is. I played through mostly everything in Oblivion, and this has made me want to play it again. KEEEEEEEP GOOOOOING
Hand-to-Hand is the most useful melee skill for the hardest difficulty IMO. Even just the backwards power attack+a damage fatigue spell works wonders. I have an unarmored Dark Elf monk and I've had more fun with Hand-to-Hand than any of the other melee combat skills lol. Meanwhile the only use I've found for bows on the hardest difficulty is applying poisons
Please return to this series! I found it last night thinking it was new, and was kinda sad finding out there were no more. You're living out my dream of replaying the shivering isles but with a twist.
Shivering Isles is one of the best expansions in any RPG in my opinion. I remember when I first played it, I felt I was tripping on acid the whole time, it was great.
You should definitely make more of this series 10/10 would watch every episode. Side note, been watching all your elder scrolls content love it keep it up my dude 😎
NPC's and summoned creatures raise with the difficulty setting too. That's why on my max difficulty builds I use conjuration and take a follower from the Battleborn Castle DLC (think that's what it's called) at the start of my game. Just spam a low level conjuration spell until you hit 50.
This is so much better than Skyrim videos, fek, whenever I watch Skyrim videos I never get the urge to reinstall it, but this and your Morrowind videos are making me want to reinstall them, maybe I'll buy them off steam so I don't have to look for the discs.
@@TheDsRequiem yep skyrim was casual as fuck. And I thought oblivion was casual coming from morrowind. In retrospect, give me oblivion back. Games just keep getting dumbed down year after year.
When you mentioned the gatekeeper I realized You could've started the killing the gate keeper quest where the band of adventurers attempt to kill the keeper but they all die trying. They all have full steel armor and shields and weapons and potions. That would have been a nice way for you
Very good video i enjoyed it a lot. Now i need to try this, i never before try to beat oblivion at max difficulty always find it hilarious but its a awesome way to make the dlc content different and longer
Shivering isles is one of my favorite quest lines for any game, base game or expansion. I would love to see a full playthrough, even if some preparation has to go into it :)
I never understood max difficulty. I think realistically only enemies should get stat changes. It's pretty unfair how you get less defensive AND enemies deal more damage. I never play this game past half slider just because of how cruel it is
I accidentialy went to the shivering isles first instead of leveling up on the main land. So after I like got to level 14 I left the shivering isles for the first time to face the actual Main story line and world…
i love the shivering isles so such a wild dlc! good to see ya doing a challenge with it i hope you make a new one i enjoy your longer videos like this one.

Sheogorath: I need a new champion. (sees feral naked man running and jumping around the Shivering Isles punching everything he sees) Sheogorath: PERFECT!!
I loved Oblivion, both modded and unmodded. Granted stacking mods was high and I ended up doing random whacky stuff instead of doing the quest mods missions.
back in the day when i ordered the dlc abroad together with my dad. fell in love with oblivion but this was just mind blowing as a kid the waiting for it to drop on the floormat. Goes together with the feeling of figuring out runescape membership as a kid
I forgot about the difficulty spectrum exists in The Elder Scrolls games for ages. 😅 A couple of times in the past I would lower it for a specific fight, but with mods and console commands and sneak archer I don’t need to worry anymore. 🤣
