I understand why Take Along shortened Emily. Even though she's slightly longer than James and Edward, they probably didn't want to make her too long with her driving wheels, making up a bit more length. Though, I never understood why Take-n-Play gave Emily's tender a four wheelbase, but I guess so it wouldn't be the same length as Emily herself makes sense but then that begs the question: why did Molly get the same treatment? I wanna guess that it has something to do with those two and James and Edward having the same amount of wheels but Emily and Molly obviously being longer than them, but I don't know where to go off from there with that assumption. An interesting thing about Emily's ERTL model is that part of it takes inspiration from her concept art. Note the extended handrail around her smokebox as well as the silver buffers and black buffer housings that predate her appearance in Series 8 when she would receive those two updates. The same applies for Spencer, tho I'm not sure about the other European ERTLs for the Series 6 and 7 characters, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did. I just haven't analyzed them long enough yet.
0:06 she was actually released in October 2003, around the same time she was introduced in the show. 2:41 okay I’m actually starting to wonder if you’re intentionally saying 2014 now. How many times, the tender engines weren’t updated with chunky magnets until 2015. I’m sorry I sound annoyed with this, but this issue can’t go on this far into the series. Another thing to note about the Collectible Railway Emily’s tender though is that the running board appears to be green. Anyone else find it odd?
Could the next Die-Cast evolution be on Diesel 10 please? It be pretty interesting to see how much he and Pinchy have changed in Die-Cast form over the years.
If you ask me Emily's never had a good diecast model. ERTL's has the proportions down but you can't separate the engine from the tender, and everything else that came afterward has the separation of the tender and the engine but it's either held back by an inaccurate face, inaccurate wheel proportion, or in the case of the most recent rendition of her not even fitting the same art style if you could even call it that. If I ever get into 3D printing this is definitely going to be something I want to personally rectify.

The style was introduced in 2014, therefore it’s 2014 Emily to me and I will continue to refer tender engines to 2014.
@@portablethomas thank you for telling me, it seems fair enough.
Do Thomas next pls
In terms of die cast models of Emily, the adventures version is good and aeg Emily.

Friendly Emerald Emily
Eu adoro a Emily
Yooo
I got ertl emily
My favourite Emily model is adventures Emily
I froze and died when I saw collectible railway Emily.
AEG Emily looks too chunky while Ertl Emily just got the shape and proportions right
Emily really doesn't have many good die-cast models unfortunately. Ertl is my favourite
ERTL Emily actually came out in 2003.
Best: Ertl Emily with 2013 face.
Worst: All Engines go Emily (I hate that shorter funnel)
