Great video. Good evaluation if the product. I like the durability but needs work. Seal and Shine is tough to beat. Its super easy to use and inexpensive.
Thanks for this review Dmitry! It must be kinda hard to draw a line between Silica Based Sealants and Ceramic Coatings on your website. I'm interested in Avalon King's Armor Shield IX product. I presently use The Last Coat Black Ice. I like to see that depth look and big gloss while having durability to sun and salt. Can the Adams Graphene be de-throned by one of these? Aloha from Maui.
Steve, thanks for watching! It is definitely a fine line, especially with manufacturers getting creative with names for their products. I've not tried Avalon King's Armor Shield IX yet, but will add it to my list. The Last Coat Black Ice is already in my queue. Will get to them as soon as I can :).
Just applied this our black fiesta st..after compounding off the turtle wax hybrid ceramic spray that left nothing but water spots. No it was not as slick as the TWH .but I noticed it was slicker days later than right after applying it. If it keeps the water spots off I dont care if its not as slick..
Dmitry, just happened upon your review. Finally, someone that tests scientifically and consistently. You don’t waste time (yours or mine) and you post past results. You have a new subscriber and fan. Looking forward to watching more of your videos. Thanks!
I just started watching your videos, good content. From what I have seen in graphene products is that their better sheeters than beaders. Just my observation.
Thanks Lee, appreciate you watching! Graphene can bead well but in my experience its not very slick. I personally expect beading for hydrophobicity per definition.
For the money it's a great product..the only downfall is the slick feel....not really super slick. But performance is the key.durable protection doesn't mean it has to bead water like crazy but it does as much as a ceramic does and sheets it away super fast.... hopefully it will repel dust and I like that it doesn't blotch hopefully it performs well against salt/magnesium during the winter season here in New England
Ronald, I pretty much concur with those thoughts. Let me know how it holds up for you in New England over the winter. Would love to hear about real world experiences. Thanks for watching!

Hello. Please do reply. I am an amateur in car detailing world but planning to open a new venture. Can you please recommend me some brands to be associated with to use and distribute theor products? Asking this because people in my country are marketing their detailing business based upon the brands theu use. Ive picked up a few. Let me know if their are others. G Techniq/Modesta/ Feynlab/Nasiol/ ColornDrive. And what are brands like Adams, 303, turtle wax? Do these also provide complete ceramic coating ranges like the ones i mentioned?
Dibesh, thank you for watching. I think Adams definitely has a complete range of products. Haven't used Nasiol or ColornDrive, but the others I've had some good experiences with. It's hard to say what people in your country find particularly popular marketing wise. Turtle wax also has complete products, but here it's not considered a boutique brand like Feynlab for example, it's a brand you can buy in big box stores.
Dmitry's Garage,...I put on 303 Graphene on my new 2021 Sierra before I saw your video. I agree the gloss/shine is reduced. What can I put on over the 303 to add more gloss back into the look?
Thanks for watching Shawn! Not sure what would work on top of the 303, I haven't tried stacking on top of it, but you could try to pick a spray from my list dmitrysgarage.com/wax
I own a 2017 black-metallic Z4 (E89), and I have used 303 Graphene Nano coating for the first time last week, but I am not really impressed: the shine is not great, the slickness is not great and not even the beading is that great. And it is very hard to buff of. Even after buffing off, there was still a haze remaining that I have never had before. I am not a fan of this product, even though application is easy. My paint is in great condition and I only washed it very properly before applying 303 to the (dry) surface of the car.
Thanks! Appreciate you watching. Thats a good question, but to be honest I haven't tried it. I am personally not a big fan of layering, because I prefer to just pick a product for the specific use case. Layering sometimes gets into trouble due to solvents dissolving previously applied products. You just have to try it and see.
As Jason mentioned it came up for sale again, I was on the waiting list and snagged it once it came back. Thanks for watching and commenting, always good to see you Hank!
I'm looking for a spray coating and I'm undecided between this, turtle wax hybrid ceramic and meguiar's hybrid ceramic wax. I think they are all great products but from your experience which of the three would you recommend?
I was one of the people able to buy it the first 24 hours. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED! Not even close to being as slick as most all SIO2 products. When I washed the vehicle the first time my wash mitt wanted to stick in place and I had to push it around the service, unlike SIO2 where the wash mitt glides. I compounded it off and put Black Ice from The Last Coat that also boasts 12-18 months. THUMBS DOWN for 303.
Ron, thanks for watching! I do agree the slickness let it down. I think thats an area that 303 needs to address. It's the worst thing about the product and if they fixed it the product would be much more viable given how durable it is and that it's reasonably priced.
Hi dmitry, Thanks for all the information about waxes and stuff. I have 1 question. Can you make a video or tell me in a comment what waxes are the best to add gloss? Keep up the good work. Greetings from the netherlands!
Hey Mitch, glad to see I have viewers in the Netherlands, really cool :). I have a list of prior tested products here dmitrysgarage.com/wax-shootout Some of the higher gloss ones are: Adam's Spray Wax, P&S Bead Maker, Optimum Opti-Seal, Turtle Wax Seal N Shine, Adam's Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating (glossiest so far!)
@@DmitrysGarage thanks man! I was not aware that you have your own website. Now i have something to look into this evening haha. Looking forward to a new video :D
Donald, I'm sure it would, but for my tests we just do them all one coat/as instructed. I would do two coats if instructions required it, but I'd ding it for ease of use since other products don't require doing double the work.
Your DG logo reminds me of the cartoon networks CN logo. I watch and appreciate all of your vids. What would be your go-to spray topper for mainly gloss and slickness?
Haha thanks Rob, I always thought it was a Mario style logo :). I don't use a ton of toppers because I try to find one product that I like to simplify the process. However, I will be testing some toppers soon, including the Xtreme Solutions Topper. So look out for that!
@@DmitrysGarage Thanks! Extreme Solutions Topper was the one I was really curious about. Brian at Apex Detail tested it and he seemed pretty impressed with it's durability.
Love from India❤️❤️.... Plz guide how can i get best results with S&S ... after washing my car should i direct use S&S or should i use first polish then wax thn S@S ..... i knw nothing abt it..... one more thing before using S&S is claying compulsury...
Thanks for watching and commenting :)! For Seal N Shine and most products the best results are to first wash your car, decontaminate (i.e. claybar), then buff/polish, then apply the wax. You don't have to do this every time. I would polish every 2 or so years for a daily driven car that is well maintained. Clay maybe a couple of times a year or in trouble areas. Hope this helps!
Seems to be on par with products half it's price. Not a bad product but seems overhyped. I am glad I didn't pre-order any of it, bought xtreme solutions polyseal instead. I hope I made the right choice.
Yea it's not making my top list, but it's not a bad product overall. I think if it gained 1/2 the attention we would go "yea that's not bad", but after the marketing blitz its definitely a bit of a let down. I think it's still an overall good product, just there are other things I prefer and that Poly Seal is definitely a good one.
The 303 is harder to use and not as pretty. It's also not as durable in my testing. You should check out my website's table which makes it super easy to compare the tests: dmitrysgarage.com/wax
Chris, I think depending on the coating you could. You always have to test combos to make sure the secondary product doesn't negatively affect the first.
Yes, because it is the most consistent way to measure since automotive paint is not consistent in depth and body panels are curved. I explain it in this vide: ua-cam.com/video/MXez3F3vN_4/v-deo.htmlm02s
Many products can be used on glass. This product including. The results between glass and paint are consistent, it's just a lot easier to measure on glass accurately. What do you believe would cause a difference scientifically?
@@DmitrysGarage I love the review and appreciate you doing all those washes for us, but I am not convinced your gloss testing method is good. Other detailing channels have reviewed 303 and had a slight gloss improvement when tested on paint. I understand what you are saying about measuring on paint is not consistent, but if you take enough samples before and after, your average should be pretty representative. Although these products can be used on glass, most of us are using them on paint, and I would like to see whether the gloss is improved on paint. Also, some of these products have fillers, and I think if you used them on glass, they are not filling anything. If used on paint, they fill microscopic imperfections and add gloss.
Truly honest well-constructed video I'm glad you left the b******* out of it great test great honesty that's what I like about your videos 303 seems to have near enough nailed it first evolution of graphene sprays obviously they will tweet sub 20 washes pretty good I understand after 6-months you've got to reply which is brilliant that sold any product really last unless you're going for the hardcore stuff which is boring nobody wants nothing that last over 2 years where's the fun enjoying not playing with your car body and waxing and scrubbing and messing about 303 hasn't arrived in the UK properly what I think it's going to be a little bit better than anything turtle Wax has manufactured at this present moment with graphene in it once again boss fantastic tell him as it is

So out of all the sealants or waxes you’ve tried which one would be your go to I’m looking to offer my clients a Wash clay and seal but i wanna be able to offer a sealant that’ll last at least 4 months of protection to real world weather
Thanks for watching. I would suggest reviewing my table here: dmitrysgarage.com/wax It had all the results in tables so you can browse by category and pick a product. For only 4 months i like the Wolfgang Deep Gloss 3
IPA is miscible in water, so it’s not a non polar solvent. Given the cost of graphene, there’s likely to be only a trace amount in there. www.google.com/search?q=cost+of+graphene&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari
Frank, you're right IPA is miscible in water because it is slightly polar (why it beads on wax, until it dissolves it), but it's non-polar end dissolves non-polar compounds like waxes which is what I'm talking about. I'm probably not being super clear as I'm not a chemist. As for the graphene, I'm not sure how much it affects anything since I haven't seen much science to back it up, I'm just testing the products to compare to other formulations. My understanding is they use graphite oxide instead of actual graphene.
@@DmitrysGarage Try ethyl acetate as a solvent. Years ago, a crew came to the office where I worked to spruce up the wood furniture. They wiped it down with ee, which has a pleasant, fruity scent, then applied a wipe on varnish. Big improvement! Ethyl acetate is a commonly used solvent. Google shows tech grade selling for $40-$55/gal. The graphene claim has me puzzled. Ceramic coatings do as well. Oh well, I must be stuck in the 1960’s when as a teenager I polished by hand our huge, black 59’ Cadillac with Rain Dance car polish. Twelve years later, when my folks sold it, the car looked and even smelled new!! Now, if I watch a YT video of those cars, I still recall every interior and exterior detail!
Frank, i have not tried ethyl acetate, will definitely play with it. IPA is commonly used in detailing and is presumed to remove waxes, in my test I’m seeing how well it works for the particular wax. There are a handful of formulations that don’t dissolve with IPA. Makes me wonder why, i.e they may be polar compounds that have a physical structure that causes hydrophobicity. Im similarly skeptical of all claims. Graphene, ceramic, ptfe, etc... have a wide range of formulations and tend to oversimplifying whats in the bottle in their marketing. i.e its not graphene its graphite oxide. But, some formulations are very impressive and nothing from organic or common polymer synthetic waxes touches it in durability. i.e. Adams Ceramic Graphene Spray had 7-12 times the durability of high end traditional products. It had over 3x the durability of this product in this video. Ive also seen terrible ceramic formulations where the durability was 1/8th of a good traditional product. Ive seen similar stuff with ptfe too.
@@DmitrysGarage Very interesting!!! I watched a video yesterday about boxed cake mixes vs from scratch. It was hard to beat the boxed one (Duncan Hines) due to its formulation, size of flour grains, etc, lots of subtle, synergistic tweaks to the ingredients and recommended prep, according to a baker and a food scientist. Same applies here. What matters is not what it contains but how it performs. When I was a chemistry grad student decades ago, my lab partner started a project involving surface chemistry and monolayers. He had a device fabricated which measured the resistance monolayer precursors floating on water exerted when forced together and aligned. It was a tray containing water to which a drop of substance ( eg, a fatty acid) suitable for forming a monolayer was added, and a sliding bar. As the bar was pushed to one end, the force increased abruptly when the monolayer was created. Application of more force would push molecules to form a bilayer. Sorry, but I don’t recall how he applied or measured the force. But I thought it was cool...being able to measure molecular forces that way!
@@FrankGutowski-ls8jt Totally, this is a great analogy. It is truly hard to beat mixes formulated by professionals. You might be able to use more organic and expensive ingredients at home, heck even grow your own ingredients. However, it doesn't mean you know how to get the right tweaks to make it work. What happens with a lot of these companies is that they're essentially reselling products made (often in China) for them. Those formulations may be made by companies making cosmetics or other products unrelated to detailing. Or they might simply copy ingredient lists off SDS sheets from other formulators without knowing exact ratios. On the other hand some of the top brands seem to truly have good formulations for their flagship products that are made by professionals. That's super interesting about measuring molecular forces. That's way beyond what I remember from college chem. Really interesting stuff :)!
Chris, I haven't tested too many yet, but Adam's graphene spray coating was reasonably slick, it was actually slicker than their non-graphene formula. May just be the compositions :-/, who knows. Thanks for watching!
@@DmitrysGarage morning.....just recd my 303 but have yet used/applied it. i have wanted to compare it to IGL F4.....but i think seeing yours and others review i already have the answer.....IGL is SLICK....the gloss is the highest out there. brian at apex has busted 100+ gloss units on multiple vehicles and the vehicles i have applied it on.....really stand out. have u tried it?? if i get same results once applied i will top with xtreme's topper and see if that achieves the slickness goal
Have to agree, this stuff is not slick. Rub your finger across the door, and it doesn’t feel good. Not even close to a decent Carnuba. It was no fun applying either. I applied after claying the entire car, then using Griot’s Finishing Sealant. Lot of work, little more gloss. What bothers me most is that tree debris, and bird crap sticks. On Butterwax the debris just blows off, and poop easily wiped right off. I chose this product because sprinkler season is starting soon. I have low expectations.
I ordered it on the recent restock since it first sold out. I used it last week. Not impressed and it’s not easy to remove. I’ll stick with bead maker.
Pierre, it's definitely not a silver bullet. I think it has some advantages and disadvantages like many products. Personally for me it's unlikely to become a favorite. However, I wouldn't say it's a bad product overall.
Thanks for watching Ken. I wouldn’t say its bad or anything, the slickness disappointed me, but the durability is really good. Not the best out there, but definitely well above average l.
From what I have seen, some of the bigger UA-camrs actually had the 303 Graphene shipped to them without purchasing it. They were sent it pretty boxes too. Kinda makes you think either they beefed up those specific bottles just to get good reviews on them or they were just straight up sponsored. Another difference is that Mr. Dmitry does not attack his panel with chemicals. S&S and this product may have really good chemical resistance, but they do not last in the real world. From what I have seen, something on this channel that lasts about 20 washes will last about 3 MAYBE 4 months.
@@garretthamer6914 yea I had to purchase mine. Everyone was asking about it so I had to see what the hype was :). I've had a few manufacturers send me stuff and I do worry that I will get a spiked bottle. For existing products I feel like I could start asking to get reimbursed for an Amazon or similar order instead of a free bottle shipped to me. But for new products that are unreleased, not sure how to get around that. Not a big problem yet as most manufacturers aren't aware of me yet, too small! :). As far as chemical resistance, I agree, who randomly sprays All Purpose Cleaner or a degreaser on their paint?
I think if the slickness was there you could make an argument for it, because then it would be prettier and more durable. However with the lack of slickness and the cost, I agree it's not as good as SNS.
Not worth the wait; literally McGuires makes a product that dosent come off like super glue and adds the same hydrophobic properties.. Every other claim on the bottle like surface temps etc are bs.. Used this product yesterday on one panel and then threw it in the trash.

awesome product review buddy.the word ur lookn 4 is jetting effect (line of demarcation)awesome product ,but it PIA 2 wipe off in direct sun or u did area larger than 2x2 .still love it.it sounds like ur a science guy maybe teacher.very articulate in all ur videos
Thanks Richard! I'm actually a computer/tech guy, but mostly working in management last 7 or so years. I appreciate the nice comments :).
After I apply this 303 spray, I'm hoping Beadmaker will give it the slickness it's missing
Cool, let me know if it works out!
It does. I was very disappointed in the slickness. I topped it with beadmaker on the next wash and I love the results.
@@alexgaca248 awesome, thanks for letting us know
If you have to stack products to get a desired result then it’s not worth it.
@@DRTYFN stacking products is standard procedure for me and many others. I actually enjoy the process.
I’ve been thinking of buying it! Might get it today.
Cool, thanks for watching Eric, let me know how you like it once you try it out :).
Great test as always.
Thanks for watching, glad seeing you here again!
Great video buddy. Thanks for the review.
Thanks Jason! I'm glad you enjoyed the review!
Great video. Good evaluation if the product. I like the durability but needs work. Seal and Shine is tough to beat. Its super easy to use and inexpensive.
Thanks for watching :), and I agree SNS is a great product especially given how cheap it is.
Great process!!
Thank you Mark, appreciate your viewership! Will have more videos up soon :).
Cool, thanks for watching Rob. Let me know if it works out of you water spot wise, always love hearing real life applicaitons.
Dmitry, just happened upon your review. Finally, someone that tests scientifically and consistently. You don’t waste time (yours or mine) and you post past results. You have a new subscriber and fan. Looking forward to watching more of your videos. Thanks!
Thanks Ted, I try to be as objective as possible and I really appreciate your viewership. Will have more videos out soon. Thanks for watching!
I just started watching your videos, good content. From what I have seen in graphene products is that their better sheeters than beaders. Just my observation.
Thanks Lee, appreciate you watching! Graphene can bead well but in my experience its not very slick. I personally expect beading for hydrophobicity per definition.
@3:15 nice g8 backround/screensaver

Thanks Philp!
Great test as always! Would it be possible to layer seal n shine on top of fusso coat original?
Thanks! Appreciate you watching. Thats a good question, but to be honest I haven't tried it. I am personally not a big fan of layering, because I prefer to just pick a product for the specific use case. Layering sometimes gets into trouble due to solvents dissolving previously applied products. You just have to try it and see.
How in the world did you get a bottle?? Great video so far LOL I am one minute in

@@DmitrysGarage thanks! Have a great Sunday
Love your videos !
Thank you for watching!
THANK YOU FOR THIS!!!!!
No problem :), thanks for watching!
You mentioned a wolfgang product in this video. Which one were you referring to ?
Steven, it was the Deep Gloss 3.0, thanks for watching!
Hi dmitry,
Thanks for all the information about waxes and stuff. I have 1 question. Can you make a video or tell me in a comment what waxes are the best to add gloss? Keep up the good work.
Greetings from the netherlands!
Hey Mitch, glad to see I have viewers in the Netherlands, really cool :). I have a list of prior tested products here dmitrysgarage.com/wax-shootout
Some of the higher gloss ones are: Adam's Spray Wax, P&S Bead Maker, Optimum Opti-Seal, Turtle Wax Seal N Shine, Adam's Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating (glossiest so far!)
@@DmitrysGarage thanks man! I was not aware that you have your own website. Now i have something to look into this evening haha. Looking forward to a new video :D
i wonder if you layered it with say 2 or 3 coats if it would improve .
Brian at Apex Detail tested it and he seemed pretty impressed with it's durability.
have you compare to the new turtle wax graphene. Have you done any tests with nu finish?
Ill mark another vote for the turtle graphene products, they’re on my list! Nu finish is up for trusting shortly!
Great job on videos

do seal and shine vs the last coat or do a tlc black ice review video
Thanks for watching Ken. I've actually done The Last Coat and Seal n Shine videos very recently. I'll get the black ice in my queue though.
@@DmitrysGarage any other way to decontaminate paint with less cost... and how i knew that paint is decinteminate now
Do you think 303 add Hardness like traditional ceramic coating ?
I'm sure the layer it leaves has some hardness above a normal polymer or natural wax/sealant.
@@DmitrysGarage any plan to try Zymol Graphene ?
@@MAXIMILAN2QAT Will add this one to my list :)
How does it stack up against TLC 2.0?
The 303 is harder to use and not as pretty. It's also not as durable in my testing. You should check out my website's table which makes it super easy to compare the tests: dmitrysgarage.com/wax
Can you use this stuff as coating topper?
Chris, I think depending on the coating you could. You always have to test combos to make sure the secondary product doesn't negatively affect the first.
@@DmitrysGarage Can I use this on top of adams Graphene ceramic coat?
Are you measuring the gloss in a glass?
Yes, because it is the most consistent way to measure since automotive paint is not consistent in depth and body panels are curved. I explain it in this vide: ua-cam.com/video/MXez3F3vN_4/v-deo.htmlm02s
But the wax, sealant, ceramic wax, graphene etc is meant for automotive paint.. Not glass..

@@DmitrysGarage
Try ethyl acetate as a solvent.

Very interesting!!!
From the few reviews I've seen of different graphene products they seem not to be slick in nature
John, i have not tried that one out yet but its on my list. Will definitely get it into a shorter term queue.
Other channels are saying its the greatest thing since sliced bread ... hmm
This will definitely not give S&S a run for it's money just look at the price to begin with
I think if the slickness was there you could make an argument for it, because then it would be prettier and more durable. However with the lack of slickness and the cost, I agree it's not as good as SNS.
For the algorithm. 👍
Thanks Keith!
Not worth the wait; literally McGuires makes a product that dosent come off like super glue and adds the same hydrophobic properties.. Every other claim on the bottle like surface temps etc are bs.. Used this product yesterday on one panel and then threw it in the trash.
