@@diydetailofficial Thanks for your reply, my main concern is that I only have a IK multi pro 2 that I can use use to rinse off the quick beads, I’m worried that it may not have enough water pressure to do it properly.
Yvan & Nick if using Ceramic Gloss as a drying aid what kind of longevity can you see from your drying towel? Even with proper washing at some point ceramic gloss should prevent the towel from drying. Or does it wash out completely? Love these videos!
If you’re concerned with that. As soon as you’re finished drying the car, soak the towel in your wash bucket. The surfactants will prevent the drying aid from crosslinking.
I haven’t graduated beyond waxing yet but wondering if quick beads would be a good option for door jambs & gloss black wheels to add a little protection and make maintenance cleaning easier?
I was wondering how soon after the 5 year ceramic coating has been applied can I add some Ceramic Gloss for extra protection? I have done my rims with Ceramic coating and thinking to add some Ceramic Gloss for a sacrificial protection to the ceramic coating. thanks!
A wax is normally chosen because of its ability to fill small imperfections, plus for the experience of waxing. A blower can be used after DIY Detail Quick Beads, but a towel always does a better job.
You've answered a lot of my questions about the two products, but I still have one concern. I have a Griot's Garage PFM drying towel that I NEVER use for anything but drying the small amount of water left on my cars after a flood rinse. I've always heard/been told that any kind of 'protection product' will clog or otherwise make the drying towel significantly LESS efficient and over time, can ruin the towel. Can you enlighten me on this?
Yes, if removing water from the surface a drying aid is necessary, water is a solvent, and doesn’t protect against towel marring. If you’re not over using DIY Detail Quick Beads or DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss, not a problem. To prevent any issues, simply dunk your towel in your wash bucket a few mins when you’re done drying. The surfactants will prevent the ceramic from cross linking.
I did customers car Saturday i used quick beads then ceramic gloss on top. It was windy day so quick beads was harder so finished it off with ceramic gloss on white bmw . Ceramic gloss is best spray i used in 20 years if it last like you say then amazing job 👍
I like both but I do have different methods. So if I do rinseless I stick with ceramic gloss. And when I pressure wash I use incredible studs with quick beads or I do both. Depending on my moods. However I love both and enjoy every minute of it. Thanks for the great product. Can’t wait for the waterless to come out. I need something in between
Great video. Definitely useful as my customers text me all the time before buying/building their kit. now I’ll just send them this link. 👍 I prefer Ceramic Gloss. But that feel of the paint is unique with QB. Just like you guys said a velvet feel.
As context, I believe I have bought just about every one of your products and finally did a ceramic coat on my wife’s 2017 Macan. I use your products on her car. However, I use the new turtle wax products on my Hydro blue Jeep. It really adds the right amount of darkening to the paint as opposed to both of your products that makes the paint super glossy. Nothing wrong with that, but was wondering if you might be creating a product that darkened the paint while adding some gloss rather than just high gloss.
Question: have you ever tried to spray quick beads or ceramic gloss onto the jewelling pad and a DA polisher? I’m really wondering how it would look so I think I’ll give it a try, but I was curious as to whether or not anyone had tried that before?
I'm an idiot and did a FRF cleaning, followed by ceramic gloss. I didn't wait for the 24 hr cure period and applied quick beads after "dry". I got a bit of a haze/browning on a black vehicle. I realized the mistake very quickly and gave the vehicle a rinse to mix the Quick Beads. Will this come off over time with Incredible Suds?
From what I understand is I do a rinseless wash then next step is to protect the car. How should I go about doing this with QB and CG. Is it apply QB first, rinse with water to activate, dry the car, and then apply CG to get the most protection and best look? Also if Im a weekly washer what should i do then after applying the protection the first week of the QB-CG combo? Do I just only use QB, rinse, dry, enjoy? Or do i apply nothing at all since its already protected from the last wash that i did last with the QB-CG combo?
Can you guys elaborate more on using quick beads and ceramic gloss together? Is the process like this: #1 Wash with incredible suds or rinseless. #2 Decon with clay towel and iron remover while paint is still wet from the wash (preferably rinseless). #3 Spray quick beads after the decon while the car is still wet. #4 Grab clay towel again but this time spray ceramic gloss to the towel and panels then wipe. #5 Finally just dry the car. Would be a proper way to combine quick beads and ceramic gloss?
Close, step 4 dry with DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss as a drying aid with your drying towel. No coating needed! Protect your paint this winter ua-cam.com/video/fDebsMbDpNw/v-deo.html
I wash my bosses car about once a week to keep the road dust down and the car super clean. I use your rinseless wash most of the time but thinking about getting the incredible suds for when it is dirtier. I have been using the ceramic gloss when drying it each time is that over kill. Should I be using quick beads more often or should I just use them every couple washes. Just trying to find the best method for keeping the car looking really good all the time. It does not have a coating right now but thinking about adding one in the near future.
What about spraying quick beads on panel but also into like a clean wet wash mitt and wiping it on every square inch of the car body work and rinsing off?
If you do a good application of Ceramic gloss and then use it as a frying is every week or two, is there a need to have an actual ceramic coating or ever do another “good” application? Can you over apply ceramic gloss to frequently?
I have applied your 5 yr ceramic coating, very easy application btw, and I have your quick beads. I bought quick beads to help with water spots since it has graphene. After I apply QB and activate it with water is that considered my drying aid, correct? Or do I need to apply QB again before I towel dry it? I also use a blower to get most of the water off so I’m not towel drying the whole car if that matters.
Back in November 2023 I purchased a Mazda CX-5 and even though I bought products already to wash my new ride I just want to make sure I have everything I need. I use a garden hose with a foam gun and I use a snow foam in it to do the first step before rinsing and then using a car wash(shampoo?) to do my wash. Because of how new my suv is I am not sure I need a wax/polish/compound product yet? But I do want to tackle water spotting due to using a soap. Do I need to use both the water spot remover and maybe quick beads and do I need the (Clay) towel? And what other exterior cleaning product do you guys suggest? I am wanting to keep it clean and not damage anything
Great Video so can we use the Carpro X iron remover on your clay towel (synthetic perforated ) so one spray on the panel and one on the clay towel and wipe off , dip the towel into a was bucket after every 2/3 panels and then use the same clay towel with DIY detail ceramic gloss same method one spray on the towel and one on the panel as a drying aid.
Another great video guys. I know it's not as sexy as your great chemical lineup but maybe have a video to talk through the different brushes in your lineup. Where to use each and maybe most importantly, where not to use. Your convertible top video featured the red and blue. The green brush has made a few cameo appearances... Your website descriptions are good but nothing like having an actual feature video. 😁👍
8/12/24 Gerdy from Jersey here. Can you elaborate a little bit more detail on the part about using quick beads as a synthetic clay towel lubricant. Meaning . . . after c-toweling the panel ( a panel ) I assume one panel at a time , are we rinsing that panel right away ? No concern with even coverage , the c-towel did that part , but how about streaking concerns ? We still would not want the combination of iron remover and quick beads w/ clay towel drying before rinsing correct ? I live in a middle class development where all of us have a so called “2 car garage” . Very few of us actually use the garage for car parking and non of us can afford the overspray from washing a vehicle inside. I use an extra large/ tall pop-up tent when needed & DI water for every aspect of the washing-detailing process. Still heat , wind , humidity has to be taken into account when using iron remover ,quick beads & clay towel together . For me , quick beads presents a little bit of a challenge in the prevention of streaking . However I’m excited to hear about using that product as part of the decon procedure with the added benefit protection. I just want to make sure on the proper steps and techniques needed to prevent streaks . Sorry for the long read. I can’t help it.
Use either DIY Detail Iron Remover or DIY Detail Quick Beads with your Perforated Synthetic Decontamination Towel not both. If using DIY Detail Quick Beads with the Perforated Synthetic Decontamination Towel simply dry with a towel.
Question about of an off label use, what product if any would work to keep a hydrophobic layer on a hockey helmet visor. It's made of clear polycarbonate. Trying to make it easier to clean. Thinking outside the box a bit 🤷. Thanks! Love the product line!
Hello, I’m wondering in a Rinseless situation. The vehicle is wet with the Rinseless solution and the next step is to dry it. Since it’s wet, can I spray the panel and the towel with quick beads then dry it, like I would if I was using ceramic gloss?
Do you think a venturi nozzle on the end of a pressure washer could be a good way to apply quick beads; many pressure washers have this but I think it would be expensive to use because they venturi dumps soap into the water but an external nozzle could be a great answer
Great video! Have a question that may be out of your wheelhouse. Have you ever used your products on aluminum painted hull boats. I trailer mine and fish on the Great Lakes which is hard sometimes dirty water especially at the launch. Water spots are always an issue especially at the stern and the outboard motor. Rarely am I able to wash the boat at the end of the trip usually night time and the boat is already dry when I get home. Would ceramic coatings help or work vs a boat wax in that application?
I just coated my truck with diamond body 36. They say not to use a topper because it will either not stick, or it will reduce the extreme contact angle of the DB36. I’m still looking for a topper to reduce towel marring when drying. Does ceramic gloss have a comparable contact angle if used over DB36?
Suppose a car probably has never been clayed and paint has sandpapery feel to it - still a good idea to use ceramic as a lube or will it ‘protect’ contaminants that don’t get removed right away?
8-12-24 Gerdy from Jersey. One more question . I like the in-depth data on the two products. Can we do the same for C6 Mist ? Can you reveal its original function ? Meaning I thought that C6-Mist was invented & marketed solely as a drying lubricant that would not have a build up effect when frequently used vs quick beads c-gloss&various other toppers on the market . I understand C6 Mist wasn’t invented to offer same level protections vs c-gloss, q-beads and other toppers used as drying aids, therefore allowing it to be used on a regular basis without the risk of build up . What’s regular? Let’s say a person washes 4 days out of 7. Using a topper as a drying aid would build up over time especially if one likes using multiple brand toppers like ceramic gloss, quick beads, Sudslab Maguires ect ect . When marketers start advertising that a product can be used in many different ways then originally first advertised in order to sell more product, ( np, I get it ) I sometimes get lost or confused as to a product’s original purpose. Such is the case with C6- mist.
Hi. Did you mean that once I used the ceramic gloss as a drying aid and then wash my car again with soap(incredible suds) and water. I will be needing a rinseless wash as a lubricant everytime I dry it? Thank you!

If I want to use the “clay towel” with both iron remover and ceramic gloss, should I buy one towel for each? If I will be using the “clay towel” for both, I should rinse the car between using the iron remover and ceramic gloss, correct?
Yes. Still use a drying aid. I prefer Ceramic Gloss as a soap/foam or rinseless wash drying aid. With a soap wash, you could use quick beads after soap rinse and then apply QB to wet car and rinse again before drying and you would get the benefits of graphene in you 'topper.'
Hello and just want to say i love your products as im new to car detailing. I got my rinseless wash and wow the smell alone puts a smile on my dial. So heres my question. After i use rinseless wash and dry everything off. Can i use quick beads on dry paint then add ceramic gloss. Is this over kill. Keep up the good work and ill be buying more of your products. Also can you make a air freshers soon
Hey guys. Great video once again! 2 questions....how would you use any of the two during a rinseless wash process? and which of the two would be most appropriate to be used in that scenario?
Ceramic Gloss is my go to during Rinseless Wash. As the name states....once you've washed the paint with Rinseless, no need to rinse off. So after washing, on a wet panel, use a spray or two of Ceramic Gloss on the paint and on your towel and go ahead and dry
Ceramic Gloss no, spray on and wipe. With Quick Beads, let it dwell for about 30 seconds on clean/wet paint, then distribute it with a hose from the bottom up and do a final rinse to make sure white suds are all gone 👍
I wash my cars about every 2-3 weeks. Can I use quick beads or ceramic spray after every wash or is it overkill? Also, can I use it either even though I dont have the 3year ceramic underneath? or are they maintenance to the ceramic coating after I've done that?
I wonder if you can tell me this. I do wash my car weekly. Literally rain or shine. That said, I live in South Florida, and drive the car around 700 miles or more a week. But, the wash process is foam, dwell, rinse, foam, contact wash. I then every couple weeks do the Gloss as a drying agent. I have a 5 year coating on it, but my expectation for the coating is probably 2 years. The car is new, so I haven't decon washed it yet (except before the coating) but I plan on doing that every 3 months followed by Gloss. Is 2 years a fair or realistic expectation? I know you can't give an etched in stone answer, but my expectations are actually low coating wise as the car is exposed to extreme heat, milage and rain forest levels of rain lol.
Hey guys, Can ceramic gloss be a topper for ceramic coated cars? Thx I have a few different ceramic coating toppers but always keen to try new stuff. Also , if I use something like mckees 37 graphene ceramic coating , which would be better to use, quicks beads or ceramic gloss? Thx
I pretty well solely air dry with my ego blower, but always use ceramic gloss if doing contact dry…. Is there any danger or reason not to air dry and always do towel?
After cleaning the car with ceramic gloss and a clay synthetic mit and then washing it with soap, can I use zymol car wax to seal the car at the very end?
Using Ceramic Gloss as your "lube" for the decontamination towel is actually the final step. You just wipe it dry from there and you've left the protection, no need for wax
There's a ton of information in the videos, but it's very difficult to search for answers to questions like this. Is there a plan to create some kind of easily searchable catalog, and put it on the website, for example?
I use Techinicians Choice Ceramic Detailer, do I have to remove it if I want to start using DIY Ceramic Gloss? If so, is washing the car with stripping shampoo enough?
Hi guys quick question i dont have ceramic coating on my car but i like 2 wash my vehicle once a week can i use both quick beads while washing it and at the end use ceramic gloss every wash or will it cause problems with to much layering ?
I swear I asked the questions that you answered in a couple other comments sections on your other videos. Exactly the content I needed. You guys are doing it right. Would you guys be against sending a bottle of Ceramic Gloss to Scott HD to push for it to be included on one of his upcoming coating longevity video series?
I am a foam gun guy so I prefer Quick Beads since the contact angle of the the beads is greater and blow dry my cars that are coated 90% of the time. . I will do the Nick method Quick Beads and finish with Ceramic gloss since the gloss is definitely ci greater.
Is it still protecting the paint if you use this stuff just as a drying aid? Or do you have to go through that preprep steps to consider it as protected?
Absolutely it's protecting the paint just as a drying aid. Panel Prep first is a way to ramp up durability but not necessary.... especially if you're using QB/Ceramic Gloss as a drying aid after most or every wash
I think I applied to much Quick Beads and it left streaking and hazing. How do I get rid of this? I tried using Ceramic gloss to take the streaking away and it is requiring a lot of elbow grease and not very easy to take off. Do you have any tips?
Yvan, just about to grab some Quick Beads - hoping it’ll help with my insane brake dust a bit. I was thinking, does slickness in general mean anything beyond towel marring? I see that many QDs and traditional polymer sealants are slick, while ceramic coatings often are not. I’ve noticed the slick surfaces seem to be more oleophobic and better for resisting dust etc. Is this one pro of the graphene? Was the industry wrong in chasing insane water beading at all costs and not looking at oil contact angles? Hydrophobicity is nice but a lot of contaminants are oily so I’m surprised no one is talking about it. An iPhone screen is slick and very oleophobic out of the box.
Sorry for wording the question like that. I meant to ask which product (QB vs CB) would add more gloss. Also, can they both be seen as a "ceramic coat topper"?@@diydetailofficial
No I would follow this process to ceramic coat the vehicle, and then once it’s coated…in subsequent washes you can absolutely just them as drying aid/spray on rinse off. Here’s the coating series we did: ua-cam.com/play/PLD8gYJ2cLWeNJwVAqkPn5ZwrT7nGLQn1s.html

I've seen others use water-activated ceramic sealers on a wet car and spraying the product into a clean, wet microfiber towel or wash pad and spread around the panel manually and rinse after. What steps should I use for a rinseless decontamination
Rinseless
Quick beads as clay lube
And dry off with ceramic ?
Yes
Is ceramic gloss still good for a non ceramic coated car?
Yes
Yvan & Nick if using Ceramic Gloss as a drying aid what kind of longevity can you see from your drying towel? Even with proper washing at some point ceramic gloss should prevent the towel from drying. Or does it wash out completely? Love these videos!
If you’re concerned with that. As soon as you’re finished drying the car, soak the towel in your wash bucket. The surfactants will prevent the drying aid from crosslinking.
Thanks
@wescat2 thank you for your question.

I haven’t graduated beyond waxing yet but wondering if quick beads would be a good option for door jambs & gloss black wheels to add a little protection and make maintenance cleaning easier?
DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss would be a better option, but yes DIY Detail Quick Beads will work.
I was wondering how soon after the 5 year ceramic coating has been applied can I add some Ceramic Gloss for extra protection? I have done my rims with Ceramic coating and thinking to add some Ceramic Gloss for a sacrificial protection to the ceramic coating. thanks!
Wait one week.
Hi guys if ceramic gloss lasts 4 to 6 months, why would one use wax and how would quick beads work if you use a blower to dry. Thanks
A wax is normally chosen because of its ability to fill small imperfections, plus for the experience of waxing.
A blower can be used after DIY Detail Quick Beads, but a towel always does a better job.
guys drying towel needs a video of it's own
it is very unique and awesome and it is the best on the market for sure
Agreed
The Drying Blanket? Yes it's awesome:)
Is there a dilution ratio for quick beads and ceramic gloss ???
No
Thanks so much
I did customers car Saturday i used quick beads then ceramic gloss on top. It was windy day so quick beads was harder so finished it off with ceramic gloss on white bmw . Ceramic gloss is best spray i used in 20 years if it last like you say then amazing job 👍
Thank you. You can post your results in our facebook group

I need something in between
That’s what I do too
Great video. Definitely useful as my customers text me all the time before buying/building their kit. now I’ll just send them this link. 👍
I prefer Ceramic Gloss. But that feel of the paint is unique with QB. Just like you guys said a velvet feel.
I prefer Ceramic Gloss but every time I use Quick Beads I'm reminded of how slick it feels and how much I love it, too:)
Hi guys, can Quick Beads be applied over a traditional wax?
Yes
As context, I believe I have bought just about every one of your products and finally did a ceramic coat on my wife’s 2017 Macan.
I use your products on her car. However, I use the new turtle wax products on my Hydro blue Jeep.
It really adds the right amount of darkening to the paint as opposed to both of your products that makes the paint super glossy. Nothing wrong with that, but was wondering if you might be creating a product that darkened the paint while adding some gloss rather than just high gloss.
Try our 8 year Ceramic, it will fit that bill.
Question: have you ever tried to spray quick beads or ceramic gloss onto the jewelling pad and a DA polisher?
I’m really wondering how it would look so I think I’ll give it a try, but I was curious as to whether or not anyone had tried that before?
Yes, here’s an example

I'm an idiot and did a FRF cleaning, followed by ceramic gloss. I didn't wait for the 24 hr cure period and applied quick beads after "dry". I got a bit of a haze/browning on a black vehicle. I realized the mistake very quickly and gave the vehicle a rinse to mix the Quick Beads. Will this come off over time with Incredible Suds?
Yes
@@diydetailofficial Thank you for replying to the amateur learning experiences!
That works, for maintenance, one or the other
Can you guys elaborate more on using quick beads and ceramic gloss together? Is the process like this:
#1 Wash with incredible suds or rinseless.
Protect your paint this winter

A coating would be the best benefit. DIY Detail Quick Beads can be used as often as you like.
Are QB/CG helpful on top of 3/5/8y and c6 hydro lite/glass?
Yes
What about spraying quick beads on panel but also into like a clean wet wash mitt and wiping it on every square inch of the car body work and rinsing off?
Yes, but work fast
Love from Sj details always great content!
Thanks!
If you do a good application of Ceramic gloss and then use it as a frying is every week or two, is there a need to have an actual ceramic coating or ever do another “good” application? Can you over apply ceramic gloss to frequently?
Ceramic coating provides better chemical resistance than DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss. It can be used weekly if desired.
Apply, rinse, dry and enjoy.
For water spots I suggest DIY Detail Water Spot Remover
Is that because graphene helps more with sheeting?
Correct
Can you apply ceramic gloss on every wash? I typically was my car once a week and been using it as a drying aid for every wash?
I asked the same thing on another video and Yvan said it's ok.
Yep no problem at all
Great Video so can we use the Carpro X iron remover on your clay towel (synthetic perforated ) so one spray on the panel and one on the clay towel and wipe off , dip the towel into a was bucket after every 2/3 panels and then use the same clay towel with DIY detail ceramic gloss same method one spray on the towel and one on the panel as a drying aid.
We haven’t tested that iron remover, but that’s the technique we use with DIY Detail Iron Remover
That’s a great idea thanks David 💪
So I buy your 3 year graphene coating and then use quick beads every 3 months sounds good?
Perfect
Do either of those two products layer?
Yes, either one, or both.
Question about of an off label use, what product if any would work to keep a hydrophobic layer on a hockey helmet visor. It's made of clear polycarbonate. Trying to make it easier to clean. Thinking outside the box a bit 🤷.
Thanks! Love the product line!
Our ceramic coatings, DIY Detail Quick Beads or DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss, your choice
Can you use ceramic gloss if your car is not already ceramic coated ?
Yes
Hello, I’m wondering in a Rinseless situation. The vehicle is wet with the Rinseless solution and the next step is to dry it. Since it’s wet, can I spray the panel and the towel with quick beads then dry it, like I would if I was using ceramic gloss?
Yes
Hi Yvan can ceramic gloss be used to clean exterior plastics
Yes
Do you think a venturi nozzle on the end of a pressure washer could be a good way to apply quick beads; many pressure washers have this but I think it would be expensive to use because they venturi dumps soap into the water but an external nozzle could be a great answer
Yes, but very wasteful
Would a quick beads remove water marks too at the same time for both glass and body?
No, for that you need DIY Detail Water Spot Remover
@@diydetailofficial , thank you
Great video!
Yes, on a raw aluminum hull our Metal Ceramic Coating is ideal.
I just coated my truck with diamond body 36. They say not to use a topper because it will either not stick, or it will reduce the extreme contact angle of the DB36. I’m still looking for a topper to reduce towel marring when drying. Does ceramic gloss have a comparable contact angle if used over DB36?
Both will do what your looking for.
Here’s a question: can Ceramic Gloss be used as a drying aid after the application of Quick Beads?
Yes, be prepared to be amazed
Suppose a car probably has never been clayed and paint has sandpapery feel to it - still a good idea to use ceramic as a lube or will it ‘protect’ contaminants that don’t get removed right away?
It works great
8-12-24 Gerdy from Jersey.
These are all the intended purposes. C6 Ceramics Mist can be used daily if you want.
I have satin paint and don't want any gloss or shine. Which would you recommend for my paint??
Your choice
@diydetailofficial so I hand wash with incredible suds and looking for amazing beads due to living in WA. Which one does NOT have gloss??
They will both perform the same.
Can you use quick beads like ceramic gloss? E.g. spray into towel then panel then wipe to level?
Yes
Hi. Did you mean that once I used the ceramic gloss as a drying aid and then wash my car again with soap(incredible suds) and water. I will be needing a rinseless wash as a lubricant everytime I dry it? Thank you!
You should use a drying aid/lubricant everytime you wash.
We have a few alternatives
DIY Detail Rinse Less Wash
DIY Detail Waterless Wash
DIY Detail Quick Beads
DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss
C6 Ceramics Mist
Thank you.
Can I use quckbeads and then ceramic gloss to get maximum shine?
Yes
Nick and Ivan I have a 10 yr ceramic coating. can I use ceramic gloss on my by weekly maintenance washes or is this adding too much protection. I use it as a drying aide after an automatic contactless wash.
Yes, absolutely
If I want to use the “clay towel” with both iron remover and ceramic gloss, should I buy one towel for each? If I will be using the “clay towel” for both, I should rinse the car between using the iron remover and ceramic gloss, correct?
Correct yes and a good rinse for iron remover
If I ceramic coat my vehicle should I still use a drying aid? Would I use something like quick beads after every wash or just once in a while.
You want to use a drying aid to prevent towel marring when you only have water on the surface.
Yes you can, a little overkill, but use DIY Detail Quick Beads as a drying aid, then add the DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss once it’s dry.
@@diydetailofficial Cool thanks! :-)
Is there dwell time for quick beads and cermaic gloss? Thank you
Ceramic Gloss no, spray on and wipe. With Quick Beads, let it dwell for about 30 seconds on clean/wet paint, then distribute it with a hose from the bottom up and do a final rinse to make sure white suds are all gone 👍
What about curing time??
@ang2202 5 mins before they get wet
I wash my cars about every 2-3 weeks. Can I use quick beads or ceramic spray after every wash or is it overkill? Also, can I use it either even though I dont have the 3year ceramic underneath? or are they maintenance to the ceramic coating after I've done that?
Use them at will
I wonder if you can tell me this.
It should do much better than that considering the great maintenance
Hey guys, Can ceramic gloss be a topper for ceramic coated cars? Thx I have a few different ceramic coating toppers but always keen to try new stuff. Also , if I use something like mckees 37 graphene ceramic coating , which would be better to use, quicks beads or ceramic gloss? Thx
Yes definitely a great topper. The choice is yours
I pretty well solely air dry with my ego blower, but always use ceramic gloss if doing contact dry…. Is there any danger or reason not to air dry and always do towel?
Air drying leaves minerals on the surface, unless you use DI water
@@diydetailofficialeven when blown off with a leaf blower/air dryer?
It evaporates water , not only blows it off.
After cleaning the car with ceramic gloss and a clay synthetic mit and then washing it with soap, can I use zymol car wax to seal the car at the very end?
Using Ceramic Gloss as your "lube" for the decontamination towel is actually the final step. You just wipe it dry from there and you've left the protection, no need for wax
around how many sprays per panel for ceramic gloss? Also, which one of the 2 is more lubricating when using as clay lube??
thanks
1 spray per panel when using as a drying aid. They both provide great lubrication when claying.
Appreciate the response
There's a ton of information in the videos, but it's very difficult to search for answers to questions like this. Is there a plan to create some kind of easily searchable catalog, and put it on the website, for example?
That’s a great idea! We will work on it
I'm going to order a 16oz bottle and 1 gallon of Ceramic Gloss and coat EVERYTHING!
Enjoy
I use Techinicians Choice Ceramic Detailer, do I have to remove it if I want to start using DIY Ceramic Gloss? If so, is washing the car with stripping shampoo enough?
You don’t need to remove the existing protection.
How long before you can apply ceramic, quick bead, or graphing flex wax. To a vehicle after you polished with your gold standard polish.
simply wipe off the polish (ideally do a Panel Prep wipe down after the polish removal step) and it's good to apply!
Can either Quick Beads or Ceramic Gloss be applied in the rain or if it's raining off and on?
It may cause streaks.
Do they both have UV protection?
Yes
Can y'all do a video on how to remove hard water spots and bird poop ghost staining?

Hi guys quick question i dont have ceramic coating on my car but i like 2 wash my vehicle once a week can i use both quick beads while washing it and at the end use ceramic gloss every wash or will it cause problems with to much layering ?
Nope that’s perfect! Enjoy 😊
He only uses what he has paid for himself.
I finally got to try both these products fantastic stuff!! I say they definitely both have a place in anyone’s arsenal!
Excellent!
I am a foam gun guy so I prefer Quick Beads since the contact angle of the the beads is greater and blow dry my cars that are coated 90% of the time. . I will do the Nick method Quick Beads and finish with Ceramic gloss since the gloss is definitely ci greater.
Have fun with it!
Use DIY Detail Quick Beads, spray it on a dry MF Towel, work it into the surface. It is going to be a little work though.
Our coatings are very slick for that reason.
@@diydetailofficial That's what I was hoping :).
Does QB or CG add more gloss on a coated car?
In many cases, they do
Sorry for wording the question like that. I meant to ask which product (QB vs CB) would add more gloss. Also, can they both be seen as a "ceramic coat topper"?@@diydetailofficial
So what’s the difference between them, is quick beads a ceramics sealant or is ceramic gloss a ceramic sealant.
They both are long term ceramic sealants, application is different.
If I use quick beads or ceramic gloss as a drying aid can I then use your ceramic coating over that?
No I would follow this process to ceramic coat the vehicle, and then once it’s coated…in subsequent washes you can absolutely just them as drying aid/spray on rinse off. Here’s the coating series we did: ua-cam.com/play/PLD8gYJ2cLWeNJwVAqkPn5ZwrT7nGLQn1s.html
@@diydetailofficial thanks, I am doing this car for a friend who lost her husband and wants to sell the car. So I want it to look great for her to sell. I don't think I will ever take care of the car down the road so just want to get it to "pop" for her.
I like Ceramic gloss. I have used 1 and half bottles so far and I got a gallon as well. I haven't tried quick beads yet
To me, it’s just everything you need a spray on protection product to be. It’s a great drying aid, smells awesome and it’s fairly priced. Makes the car look awesome and the beading lasts for months. -Nick
Do we dilute the gallon container ceramic gloss?
No
It’s all about the fun 😂
Both products are a lot of fun for sure, have you tried them yet?
Hello guys i am a new subscriber and i was wondering if it would be a good combo to use quick beads on a wet surface rinse it off dry the car and then use ceramic gloss on a dry paint for a boost of gloss. Oh and by the way love the content so far!!
Yes you can!
Speaking of out of the box, you mentioned that Quick Beads is water activated. Is it possible to spray QB into a damp towel and apply it that way?
Yes you can but you still need to rinse it out if that's helpful
I've seen others use water-activated ceramic sealers on a wet car and spraying the product into a clean, wet microfiber towel or wash pad and spread around the panel manually and rinse after.
Seems like that would maximize product efficiency and get a much more even application and enhance.longevity.
Yes no need to have the towel damp actually. You can use it the same way you use Ceramic Gloss as a drying aid if you wish!
And no need to rinse. It’s why we recommend quick beads as a clay lube for light jobs. You use it with clay towel and then wipe the panel until it’s dry, no rinsing required
From Michigan! ❤

So Quick Beads would be comparable to something like Gyeon WetCoat?
Obviously not the same product but yes… same idea of a spray on rinse off protection product:)
