  • In this video, I clean a grimy ski base with Toko HC3 Wax Remover. Once you use a wax remover the base needs to be reconditioned with lots of waxing. Keeping your bases well waxed at all times will be your best defence against "junk" getting into your base material.

why wouldn't you use the swix glide wax cleaner in this case?

One certainly could have. Actually, this pair had so much surface wax, I should have scraped them first.
My goal was to show that putting the product on a rag, instead of spraying the ski base is best, as the remover is very strong.
I'm a big advocate of Swix Glide Wax Cleaner. I use it, and never hot scrape. The stuff is the bomb! It won't dry a base!

Is there any alternative products to this, not a "ski wax remover" but somthing that will do a same job?

      I don't use it, but many do. Kleen-Strip Prep-All.
I mostly use Swix Glide Wax Cleaner. It won't dry the bases.
