Mine too! I'm so glad they let her do more work in this movie. Her fight with those dudes was intense as shit! She's a total badass!

Nik was absolutely badass in the film. She was awesome. Glad we got to see more of her in action in Extraction 2.

I swear, i love it when bad guys arent just incompetent. The fight really felt like it could have either way.
Yeah uh.... the bad guys waited for 5 seconds before shooting their enemy each time there was a fight scene
From what Ive seem they are incredibly incompetent. Like seriously your on a attack helicopter armed with missiles and machine gun and you get taken out by a single dude with a rifle on a train
I was completely at awe that it was all a one take. I’ve seen them all before, John Wick, Daredevil, Goodfellas, but, I was so immersed. I tried to rewind it a few times, but was like damn, where tf does this one take begin? Chris Hemsworth found his franchise. Netflix better not drop the ball, keep funding this shit.
There's a lot of very well hidden and masked cuts along these sequences. They're so well done most of the time that they're close to impossible to spot unless you're knowledgeable in filmmaking.
Actually there are in fact multiple
All you need to do is pay attention to the camera movement
Any explosion or distraction within the screen is where they split and combine the two shots to make it oner

What I really loved about the sequel is the character development of Nik and Yaz(RIP) both siblings are equally skilled and capable in their own right and they showed why Tyler hangs out with them in the first place 😎
I love when he takes cover on a ladder while the helicopter firing a machinegun😂😂😂 lots of fun seeing the movie 😂😂

That’s a good point. He wasn’t trying to take cover behind the ladder. He was trying to stay flat against the wall to reduce his chances of being hit. The ladder just happened to be there.
He use shadow and stay flat to the wall, they shoot at the other side cuz they think that is the only possible exit.
the funny part is he fires about 1000 rounds from the machine gun and uses about 50 rounds off the belt, but i did enjoy the movie

To be honest, Nik's fight with the two men stood out to me and I really enjoyed that scene.
It was a dumb scene lol, she physically overpowers them and she doesn’t look like she even works out a fraction of the amount needed to be even close to that level, would be more believable if she tapped them both really quick with her sidearm

This whole movie was nothing but stressful. That moment the knife sunk into Niks chest just made my heart sink. I was so worried and stressed for Nik the entire movie.

Literally watching the movie right now. My brother said the prison fight up to this scene was 21 minutes long. Apparently, they took “8 tries” ✊
this scene on the train is like 15 minutes into the 1 take shot lol its absolutely off the meat rack
It's not really one take, its multiple shots stitched together to make it look like one shot. You can kind of tell where the cuts are. There's definitely cuts at 2:11, 2:48 and 3:30

The crew trained very hard to achieve a really different kind of action movie aesthetic and I appreciated the hell out of off-the-rails scenes like this.

I was just watching this thinking: "damn, I haven't seen a single cut in a while, what's going on!!?" The whole sequence from the prison break to the train, I don't think there was a single hard cut.
Amazing camera work. I'm in awe! This is what defines Cinema. Pushing for technical achievements.

The movie was fire, it was total upgrade
And that's saying alot, cuz the first was fucking phenomenal too. So much so that it was imo the best action film of the year and is one of my top 10 favorite shoot-em-up/martial-arts esque action movies of all time, (non military/war action movies - so movies like the Wick franchise, the Bourne films, The Raid movies, Mission-Impossible films, or the James Bond franchise). And yet, your correct, this one was somehow even better than the first! Hell, I even liked it more than Wick 4, which was great too - no doubt, but nowhere near as brilliant as so many people made it out to be and is imo the weakest installment in that franchise.
Nik holding her own in the engine was Top Tier ❤

This is the only movie franchise where the sequel isn’t garbage. Both movies so far have been really good and rewatch able.
John wick's sequel was good too... Third one wasn't all that great, I'd say it was the weakest. Then the 4th one was gold.
Also, Terminator 2 could very well be the greatest sequel of recent cinema.
they could make 10 movie of Extraction and I would be never tired.....

I love how this movie takes a lot of inspiration from some of the best franchises in action movie history and does a good job of still being its own thing. You can see influences from Bourne, The Raid, John Wick etc in it.
Great to see more modestly-bugeted movies like this crush it while Flash tanks- a message to movie execs everywhere.
2:11 threw 2:18 is one of the coolest shots I’ve ever seen. When all 3 bad guys breached the train! I said out loud “ooohhh shit!” 🤘🏽

Their paramilitary extremists. They aren't operating on conventions so they don't have to worry for being called out. As it stands, the only reason why they were bringing out the big guns was that this involved something as important as revenge and also internal security. The leader's family was at stake.

I like how they have a female character who isn’t obnoxious and holds her ground against those enemy soldiers. She beat them but she struggled a bit, for those chanting “Strong Wahmen” are completely wrong that’s how female characters should act they should hold there ground towards men instead of overpowering them.
yeah she actually didn't brute force them like "strong wahmen" in other action movies, she actually used her small and quick body, pistol and knife to gain advantages against big guys with long rifles

I avoided Extraction 1 and Extraction 2 as thought they'd be a bit duff. I just watched them last week and I couldn't have been more wrong. Tyler Rake is a brilliant character and is involved in two awesome movies. Liam Hemsworth nails it and it's such a shame these films weren't on the big screen. His female fixer who fights alongside his is stunning and brilliant in action scenes. This is a great action movie franchise...

Action movies like this should be seen in a theatre. Netflix released All Quiet on the Western Front for a short period of time so I saw it there. At the very least, Netflix should release Extraction and Extraction 2 on 4K UHD blu-ray where the picture and sound would be way better than any streaming service. They did release All Quiet on 4K blu-ray though.
