Do you find painting cavalry units as frustrating as I do? Also, big thanks to Maryke and Steyn for bringing me a mouse so I could edit this "oh so long ago" promised video! Check Maryke's IG at instagram.com/mary__m.a.d.e/
I like painting horses and with contrast paint and washes, it's so much faster and easier than a block paint and highlight. Staining with oil is very nice too. Or wood stain. I read somewhere that 3 socks are correct but as you note with fantasy, it's up to you. With historical schemes, you also have more licence the more archaic or where there is not much direct evidence. Lots of good guides out there for middle ages and onwards to today. Thanks for the video! Enjoying your style.
Intro was glorious, as to be expected! I feel the same way about horses, I try and use models with barding as much as possible 🤣 These turned out great, always good to have that reference material for horses!
Like the video and your tutorials but the audio is just unbalanced, i need to crank it up to hear you then turn it down before im deafened by the synthwave being blasted at me.
Thanks for the input. I am nowadays trying to get a more balanced audio, with music taking a second place. You probably can tell I am getting a lil' better at it with each video, but it is for sure something I am still learning to do "right". The thing is, I edit with headphones now, and I am editing now with different volume settings in my pc, but I am aware many of us have our phones with volume at the max setting, and balancing the audio is somewhat tricky. But, yeah: I am starting to let music take a less important role now, although I edit quite a lot around it. Nevertheless, it is much appreciated feedback!

I went with a Palomino color scheme on my Chaos Marauder horsemen. I really like the way they turned out.
Man, when are you gonna send me some pics of your minis!!
I would love to, but what method would be best? I don’t use Facebook 😖 I could email some pics I just can’t find your address.
Don't you have an IG?
No.

Man, do you read my mind? I totally agree on barding. Give me some caparace at the very least¡!
@@rushthewash I can deal with just painting the head and legs 🤣
Never really painted horse's before. Now i will give it a go
You might end up collecting a Brettonian force, you never know!!
okay, technically speaking, mlp figurines are already painted and fit on cavalry bases, so the only thing to do is glue some riders to them
mlp? Monstrously long p...?
@@rushthewash the length lies in the eye of the beholder... having small hands also helps
@@thth-sv4bt I'm wheezing... :'D And still don't know what are we talking about! HAHAHA!
@@rushthewash really? I'm talking about my little pony dude
@@thth-sv4bt Man, my mind needs to go into a car wash. Now, if I may... I will see myself out... :'D
