Great job on the cabinet build, I've noticed that some professional players have started using Pine for their closed-back cabs, as opposed to Birch. Looking forward to hearing how it sounds and seeing the rest of the build!

Thanks! I have used pine in the past with success. The ply I am using is birch though.

Great!!! I,m looking forward to your build. The cab used was the 5e3 cab with a 10" speaker.in an amp it called an eyelet board. No it,s based on the tweed harvard circuit. . It has no relation to a princeton reverb out side of being a fender.

Yeah, I think I was looking for turret board in my head when I shot the video. Eyelet or fiberboard works as well. Not sure about the cab size, but I think the chassis/enclosure for the 5e3 is a little shorter so the cutout may differ.

@@pougnetpedals no it,s cool. The important thing is you,re doing it. It,s a great choice. Turret boards are mil spec. I,e, the most durable way of building electronics in the olden days. The eyelet boards are much cheaper to make . Leo Fender was notorious cost savings! The material used in eyelet boards is very slightly hydroscopic and over decades they get a8 trace amount of water into the material and dry outover and over again. That makes them expand and contract which over 30 or fourty years will make connections crack and the amp will start getting noisey and crackly. That,s called tweed disease. Oh be careful with all the jumpers that run under the board. All the mistakes are made there when building these amps!! Check out stew mac amp build instructions on how to build amps. The 5e3 instructions will be a good road map.
