Very helpful build guide. Nice demo as well, with a focus on clean tones. Sounds great ! Thanks !

Yeah!! To get the best out of that thing turn your guitar up all the way and turn up till you start getting the tubes overdriving then back off the volume on your guitar. Thats called getting the amp in the zone! Watch the youtube vid on tone by joe bonnamasa! I think it was on guitar player. It,s amazing!

Nice demo. That said you may consider adding a disclaimer that you supplied the cabinet(I had not seen your other segments and by chance clicked on the earlier one).It came out good but my eye caught the imperfections of the tweed and since I'm considering building a 5f11 I was set to pass on Mojotone's cabinet and just buy the chassis kit.No offence intended of course.

Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully most people will see "part 3" in the title. Happy building!

is it suited for home use? can i crank it without having neighbours knocking at my door? or a champ is a better choice?

This is essential a champ with trem. Great small amp, but still can get loud. I think you'd be ok as long as you weren't playing above 7

Even a 5watt champ can be loud for home use but you're not gonna wake the next door neighbors unless you're in an apartment

I built this exact kit also. Only difference is I went with a Weber 10". And yes, it can get to that break up without melting your face. But, sensitive neighbors will still likely hear it. No way around that. If you have that situation, best to go with modeling type setup, and use headphones.

Late to the game here, but a new 5F11 owner.
It’s loud! My neighbors might call the police if I were to crank it in the garage after 10, maybe. It’s certainly loud enough to keep up with a drum set in a large room. My amp has a 12” speaker; not sure if it’s that much louder than a 10”
I had a blues jr several years ago and it’s not even close. My amp is definitely worth at least it’s double the price of a BJ.
