  • If you think an amplifier chassis stand may be a useful tool, then check out this video. I fumbled with blocks of wood for years until I could take it no more. It's quite expensive because of its weight and size to ship to Australia, but well worth it.

The thin J-rails are thin to make room for large transformers that sometimes crowd the edges of a chassis

Spot-on, Jeff. Even so, there are still some amps where the tranny is right against the edge, so out come the wooden blocks...again. Thanks for taking the time to make a thoughtful comment.

That free shirt gave you the instant 'Sugar Pouch' look. That should open new doors with the ladies. lol I've been dealing with Mojotone for over 15 years now, mostly cabs but if I had money to burn I would make rounds shopping with them. I'm thinking of buying this for my amp guy who keeps busting up my tube sockets and PT guide pins. Hello from Memphis, TN.

HAHAHA! Yes, I would definitely be doing more work with Mojotone @mojotoneofficial were it not for the shipping costs to Australia. I use the Mojotone stand for 80% of my repairs. It's a very good tool especially when I have expensive bias probes attached to the expensive power tubes.
My favourite tech in Memphis is Lyle at @PsionicAudio. I don't think he uses a stand, but I doubt he would rest a heaving chassis on fragile tubes! Thanks for your comment, from the Sugar Pouch!!

I enjoy the humor you can bring to a potentially boring topic. I am just a hobbyist and not sure if I can justify the price. I'll look up Mojotone to see if it is in my meager budget.

Hey Chris, Just wondering if you have a video or any info on the send return unit you had in the box when you unpacked the stand? Cheers Jimmy. 👍🇦🇺
