Hi Manan, After the pot get dried apply " clear varnish", two or three times. Clear varnish is available in hardware shops. It will give a shiny look to the pot, and we can also wash the pot, to clear dust.
Hi Reena !! i tried to paint small earthen pot with acrylic paint. but the problem is it attracts dust and get chip off after a while. how do i protect it and also i need glossy effect. you had mentioned some varnish can you name it ?
Thank you Madam for ur kind reply..I will surely follow all ur instructions..Can I ask u what is a distumber & where is it available? And we should buy distumber of which Brand ? Also I have a black Earthern Pot, Madam..So can I still use the distumber on a black pot ? What else should I do for a black Earthern Pot? Thank You once again Madam..))
hii reena i have watched all 65 videos of u .. can u please add some more videos of pot paintings. :-) nd can u please add subtitles so that we can understand clearly..

Madam , the pot-painting video is simply beautiful.: Since I couldn't understand ur language-Can I ask u a few qs: Q1) U used a ceramic pot , right? Can we use a clay/earthern pot? And can we apply fabric paints directly on the Earthern pot in that case or do we need to apply any primer etc?Pls advise...What type of Primer, etc..So that the pot doesn't break easily and remains hard.. Q2) In the video above how many coats of the pink paint are required? And after u paint the pink coat how long should it dry before u can apply the white patches? Q3) U also mentioned 24 hrs in ur video..What is that for? When u finish the painting(i.e both pink and white), do we need to wait for 24 hrs to apply the coat of clear varnish? I am sorry but I need to paint an earthern pot and gift/ship it to a relative abroad, hence the qs...Madam..Thank you once again..Pls keep posting all such beautiful videos ..)))
Nyati Singh Thank You Nyati.1) Ordinary earthen pot used. I have applied two coats of distumber on the pot and smoothend with sand paper.2) If the pot is very smooth one coat is enough. I have used fabric colours for this work. It will dry very fast. So You can use the light colour without any delay. Use one dark and one light contrast colour.3) After applying two colours allow it to dry for some time. If you want a glossy finish apply "clear varnish" which is available in hardware shops. Two coats are enough. After applying each coat let it dry for 24 hours. If you apply clear varnish the colour won't fade and you can wash the pot any time.Hope you got the idea...
Hi Reena Ji. I tried the same method of painting but instead used acrylic paint. It looks awesome. Will it matter in the future. Why do you insist on fabric paint . Is there a reason.
