- Look, I'm sorry and you're welcome at the same time. I wanted to go through everything about Naeem's Lance and how design choices push the player away. It can hang better with a very specific setup, but even then it still falls short. Every weapon should be talked about in some fashion good or bad and Naeem's Lance is no different. Hopefully one day it can get a buff.

But another part of me is wondering if Supremacy is a little tooooo perfect. I unironically have 3 in my rotation that I can’t say I would ever replace… and Bait&Switch got nerfed! Still gonna use that one

Kept one with reconstruction/deconstruction. Vehicle focused but felt unique enough to keep. Can be fun against spider tanks.
We have been spoiled for choice for pve specials over the past few seasons so it's gonna be pretty hard for bungie to get people to switch things up going forward. It was hard enough to get people off the Vow GL. Then again with some of the world drop primaries and the decisions they've been making on reprised weapons with a new perk rotation and new orgin traits I would not be surprised if they prove me wrong. There's just something satisfying about rewind deconstruct on the void 600 auto. Yes deconstruct is kinda garbage with how it currently functions especially with it NOT WORKING ON THRESHERS but it's fun just saying reloading is illegal because both perks just give ammo to the mag from thin air.

It’s great for dismantle and infusion.
It actually shares its gun model with 1000 yard stare not the locus locutus. That one shares it's gun model with Praedyth's/LDR/AMR (Generic D1 sniper)
He wasn’t saying the “gun model” was the same, he was saying the scope was the same
He’s talking about the scope blacking out your peripheral vision like Locus, not the model

Kinetic primaries do 10% more, specials do 15% more.

This fact is a big part of why kinetic exotic primaries feel so godly right now in end game content

Although supremacy passively deals 15% more damage than Naeems, do consider that it is a strand weapon. So pairing it with cataphract and hopefully more strand heavies to come, they all share the strand surge which at x3 is 7% more damage than supremacy. Same reason why scatter signal is so powerful.
The real weakness of the weapon is the lack of economy perks like triple tap and fourth times, having reconstruction is handy for sure but it is missing better dps and total damage. Furthermore, the fact that precision instrument cannot be enhanced on non-crafted weapons also limits the weapons potential.
Reconstruction demo lets you pop like 21 shots idk its definently not terrible but supremacy is just better
Deconstruct return ammo from thin air, but requires sustained damage. So maybe dump cataphract and swap to it and dump it maybe?

I honestly think the dungeon weapons were going to be the seasonal weapons from the new episode launching with TFS. Remember, we were supposed to get the rocket sidearm somewhere in the final shape. If this is the case I wonder what the original weapons for the dungeon were. Before anyone says that they just put the sidearm in the dungeon but the rest of them were always the going to be the dungeon loot, the weapon models are clearly all from the same "set" of weapons.
I’ve been thinking that too. They only loosely tie into what the dungeon has, but also have braytech markings from Europa and whatnot. Both aren’t mentioned anywhere and feel wildly out of place
I don't think we were supposed to get *the* rocket sidearm in Final Shape, not that one in particular. Rocket sidearms were supposed to be introduced in FS, but I guess they just made this one so we wouldn't have to wait 9 months to use them.

I’ve been enjoying my slice reconstruction roll for damage swap rotations until I got my crafted supremacy
I have actually been using one a bit with discord and demolitionist, I wouldn't take it into master+ content but for lower stuff it's a great vehicle for getting grenade regen by proccing discord then just bodyshotting redbars nonstop for 7 seconds. On snipers demo gives 20% nade energy opposed to 10% on most weapons that are easy to get multikills with.
I think it may make sense when GLs get their reserves buffed and envious assassin is nerfed, as a pairing with cataphract. You could ofc go scatter signal, but in some situations you need to deal DMG from outside of the 15m range of a rapid fire fusion, and I think rapid fire snipers still have better DPS than fusions even without any buffs. A lot of people are gonna say precision instrument, but for bosses like iryut and in GM nightfalls even for nezarac, high ground is a free 20% DMG boost. With reconstruction it really isn't a bad choice. I expected you to point out it's roll for surge matching with cataphract and the Ron GL.
Loose Change + Slice could maybe be some fun in the Crucible once it gives that extra +20 Aim Assist and +20% ADS movement speed making it more like an extra juiced Moving Target, but even then that's going to still be a gimmick at best that won't do as good as the tried and true Snapshot + Opening Shot.
I kinda just wrote it off after seeing it's perk pool. Like why would I use this when both Succession and The Supremacy exist? Not only are they both craftable, but they have better perks and are kinetic so they have a higher base damage than strand weapons.
And you should continue to right it off because this thing is high key still 🫏
I like the feel of it in pvp cause of its unique zoom at 37, its a little better compared to 35 zoom snipers and is one of the only low zoom snipers in the kinetic slot as far as im aware

Deconstruct is getting fixed in the update coming up to work on Titan barricades without having to shoot the Titan first. Deconstruct might be interesting to deal with Barricades in PvP for free because the perk gives you ammo out of thin air and not reserves

I think this is a perfect example of why they need to walk back the Kinetic weapon damage bonus. It leaves way too many Strand and Stasis weapons as useless.
Maybe remove it on Special weapons and reduce it from 15 to 10% on primaries.
Now that Kinetic tremors is here, Bungie should lean more into that style of perk instead of a raw damage increase
At least the origin perk is being buffed, so… it’ll have that going for it.

Not sure how you're seeing the weapon model being similar to Locus Locutus. Clearly it's derivative of the 1000 Yard Stare.
And Locus Locutus is derivative of Praedyth's Revenge.
I believe it can stand a chance as an option, but its gonna be a bit of a hoop to jump through. Strand fragment for melee kill = unravel rounds, strand surge with a strand heavy, precision instrument and recon.
DEFINITELY not the best option but, I think you could get it up to a 3/5 for pve like that :)
I have a reconstruction deconstruct roll. Since Bungie clarified that deconstruct pulls ammo out of thin air I am happy with that roll.
If it was triple tap + reconstruction i'd be interested. It's not.

@@tenacity25 rapid frames recoil is a bit to rough for me to heavily rely on precision based perks. Reconstruction is passive and deconstruct is passive while using.

@@BlaquePeopleFair, its just that triple tap or fourth times combined with reconstruct is two perks that are generating new ammo from thin air rather than from reserves.
@tenacity25 Reconstruction does *not* generate free ammo; it overloads the mag up to 2x its size over time from reserves. It can't (over)load if you don't have the ammo remaining.
Deconstruct is against constructs (& vehicles?), iirc, which you can't crit, so TT and FTtC won't work on those anyways.
I just like the way it looks lmao but reconstruction with precision instrument feels decent in PvE

i really wanted to like this one cause i love the gun model, farmed loads for it and got my reco/precision instrument roll and it was still just, not that great. Supremacy is still king, plain and simple. A bit sad, but it is what it is.

Really hope you find time to breakdown the best perks for the Indebted Kindness. I have a max Blast radius roll and it's easily becoming my favorite special weapon type ever. Keep up the great vids Coolguy
Now that kinetic weapons are losing their extra dmg against bosses this is gonna be a very good weapon since you can surge match with cataphract and use an exotic elemental primary like sunshot. Recon precision is the roll to aim for and you don’t even need a mag increase since you won’t be losing anything by running backup mag in final shape due to the removal of dmg spec mods
Using a strand surge mod tho, wouldn’t that boost it enough? If you run strand heavy it would make sense, right?
4:14 i have experienced that primal confusion where a combo of lag and aim assist makes you hit both a body shot and a headshot TOO MANY TIMES.
I mean, it can roll reconstruction and slice. I don’t see the issue with it in regards to running it with a Strand build in something like a GM. The DR, due to slice is nice and reconstruction lets it hold, what 14 in the mag?
I use the sniper for the dungeon boss with reconstruction and deconstruction. I do enjoy having a lot of shots to spam out.
I've had a few drops now & nothing I'd really want to keep other than to have one in the Vault. I actually like the model & zoom, Reconstruction x Precision Instrument & High Stability might not be too bad I guess?
deconstruct spawns ammo out of thin air maybe reconstruction deconstruct could be a good ammo economy roll to pair with a strand heavy for long dps phases but realistically just use supremacy if you want a snipe and scatter if you want strand special
If you're on a grenade-heavy hatchling build, I've been using a Demo/Hatchling roll and it's great for that

My three runs last week to get buried bloodline to drop netted me 5 drops with the two secret chests.
I want to like this one and I’m still trying to round out snipers that feel comfortable to use on controller. I have a reconstruction/slice roll I MIGHT try but as soon as I get my slice/hatchling vengeful whisper I will more than likely dismantle it. It just doesn’t have enough to interest me.
I personally just like the model and the unique zoom level.
I like using my Naeem's (LC/Slice), and I only use it because I don't run Raids (my last completed Raid run was almost 5 years ago), and I don't have Supremacy at all. I like using it for whne I've done Warlord's Ruin, on each boss of the Dungeon
Moving target for 100 aim assist without targeting mods sounds pretty nice for when the AE helmet mods are added in finals shape. I assume this will be the best feeing 140 from the air due to this + its high inherent AE
The best part of this weapon is the firing sound.
Reconstruction/Deconstruct will be the fun roll im chasing.
I used it in the dungeon to crit the boss during 1st and 2nd stage. It came in clutch for me.
I like this sniper but it definitely takes skill to use and I’m getting use to it as I use a sprint Krip mod given I move a lot.
I think Naeem’s has some pretty good rolls. Recon + Precision Instrument is pretty good DPS, especially if you’re matching surges with your heavy. Recon + Deconstruct let’s you fire for quite some time, I got FTtC and Deconstruct on Uzume and it’s pretty good. Recon + Slice isn’t the worst thing either, especially for when you’re without Well on bosses who heavily aggro on you
With the changes to Loose Change, could give the perk combined with Slice some value in the Crucible with the right build, but the bonuses leave something to be desired when compared to Opening Shot.
As for PvE, Hatchling in the third column is actually rare, but the fourth column perks hardly give it any versatility when it comes to dealing with bosses IMO, so this weapon would be best in an add clear role with Hatchling and Demo, considering the increased grenade energy gains from being a sniper rifle and the deeper ammo reserves due to it being a rapid fire. Just don’t bring this up against any Wyverns lol.
I got one with deconstruct reconstruction and while it's of course a very niche situation, it does absolutely body the things that deconstruct works on.
Otherwise.... yeah this dungeon really only drops two sidearms as far as I can tell.
with the Sundering changes coming soon, this *might* see some more utility, maybe.

I hunted down a reconstruct precision roll and while fun with the artifact mod, this thing is still rotting in the vault.
Im using a Reconstruction + Deconstruct that for some reason I enjoy using.

I'm kinda hoping they come back to this Dungeons weapons and give them more love, because right now the only thing I really care about getting is the Rocket Sidearm and the exotic
The only reason id consider using this is for Strand surge in Pantheon.
Contest Mode brings out some of the most closeted, unpopular weapons and makes them meta.
Back in D1 when I was still new and going through the vanilla campaign, my preferred special was a Sniper, because of how I usually play snipers (long distance, try your best to hit crit spots) but I don’t even CONSIDER the idea nowadays, because of how dogshit my aim actually is, and in a dps phase? With all the flinch on top of that? You’re never going to see an Izanagi’s in my hand, let alone any legendary sniper.
(The only time I’ve used a sniper was during the Atheon fight in my one and only run of VOG, just to make killing Oracles easier)

The only thing this snipe has going for it is that you can get the AE stat to 79 with elemental capacitor and thread of ascent.

I feel like the only good pvp roll would be keep away or elemental capacitor then demo because special weapons give more energy than primaries. It would be good for a grenade build and that’s about it.
Haven't played in 3 months, but still like watching videos about weapons. And how game is doing. Hope they deliver and people enjoy the end of the saga.

Gotta appreciate testing the damage and coming to the right (15%) conclusion. Most content creators would have gone with their gut and said 10 %.
Ive heard everyone talk shit on this gun but I got one with reconstruction precision instrument and i have been loving it, glued to my loadout if i need something long range.
I think Wallah did one when it first dropped. He said it was terrible

supremacy with rewind kinetic tremors is insane u literally get your entire mag back after shooting it because tremors adds 3 ticks of damage. not sure exactly how the cooldown works but i know its really good and makes this one borderline useless imo
2 second cooldown between tremor activations with the enhanced version. And only takes 2 shots to proc on snipers.
Damn I don't even touch snipers and this still hurt a bit to hear how bad it is. Poor little guy.
❤& 💯 👍, weapon testing but still paused to res' a teammate. I often feel like players don't & forget new weapon perks reward a res'. I Warlock main & gone are the space wizard days so i use my Solarlock as intended - a healer. I like Naeem's Lance as when you get your first it's the godroll with Slice & loose change. 1 & done.
I thought discord slice was pretty cool even not using the artifact. It's an amazing "take less damage/waste no ammo" gun.. don't know if there's anything else in the game that's a special weapon that can roll that.. it's more than unique I'd say.. it's special even

Go for the DSC or last wish snipers if you can. Both of those are leaps and bounds better than this thing

To be completely honest, most rapid-fire frames are not going to do well unless its Supremacy. What's the one sniper rifle everyone will most likely talk about once Destiny dies out? Supremacy. If this Strand sniper rifle had better perk options AND a better frame, I could see some potential in it.
"Its a fast fire rate strand..." yep....thats instantly a no for me. When was the last time they did a good sniper? Yasmin, dead soul/orbit whtever the fuck the crucible void sniper was called, eye of sol????
I have a roll with Slice and Reconstruction that I actually like using. It's not that bad. There are just better options.

One extremely niche perk to the gun, its audio is damn near silent. If you want to be a sneaky sniper in pvp, it would accomplish that I suppose.
The only “use” I see for it is Reconstruction and Deconstuct making it extremely good against tanks and shriekers you deal more damage and have auto regenerating ammo but even then it’s so niche that it’s hardly worth it

Need Discord/Demolitionist and use it like a scout rifle for adds on a strong grenade build. You'll see why this exists.
The difference between Kinetic and Strand/Stasis weapons is too much. It gets even worse if you're in an activity where the Overcharged Weapons modifier is active.
I saw the perks and there was literally only 1 roll I saw to have ANY value to me, Reconstruction/Slice. In PvE besides ammo the rapid fires don't feel like they're worth the damage output they have, however the inclusion of Slice on strand weapons is very valuable in PvE, especially in things like raids as a support tool. My thought is something like Anarchy or Dragons Breath as an auto damage, then slice the enemy while unloading the overflowed mag. It's not the most valuable concept, but it's the only way to validate having it in my vault
