i bought one. i love it. i put it on a rigid fold up stand on wheels. paid 750 for the whole set up from home depot. i couldn't be happier with my saw.. i have a 12" rigid saw on the rigid stand that i rarely use because of having to track down a cord all the time. now i am cordless and can go anywhere. just last night i needed it for one cut so i threw it on my trailer and didn't even unload or unfold it. made my cut on the job and that was it. i have a pile of milwaukee m18 tools and i mainly bought this because i was going to buy the 9.0 batteries anyway so i decided because the saw was 600 bucks with 2 batteries that basically made the saw 200 for me.. couldn't be happier with it.
I’m a huge Makita fan but I just decided change over to the Milwaukee 10 inch side saw. I hope it does well and I’m really excited to use it thank God no more cords.!
Rob, purchased the milwaukee cordless mitersaw. I trimmed out a 3 story set of stairs with it. The treads were 5/4x12 solid oak, risers 3/4 oak, balusters are painted polar. The saws performance was awesome. Accurate right out of the box. Battery life is out of the world!! Most days I got thru the day on one battery. Cutting the treads ate the battery, but made it most of the day. Enjoy all your vids. Keep em coming. Thanks
I'm sure this comes way too late, but I got to say I think these guys were way too charitable with this review. I've owned this saw for 2 years now and the minute DeWalt comes out with a 10 inch cordless, I'm going to either gift it or sell it and pick up a DeWalt. I was really excited to get this saw, I love Milwaukee as a brand, but it has been overall a real big disappointment. The bevel adjustment is infuriating, the miter adjustment requires constant lubrication or it'll get stuck, the dust collection is the worst I've ever seen except maybe for Bosch. The battery life is actually quite good, I use the 12 amp hour. If I could go back in time, I definitely wouldn't buy this saw again. This one tool review makes me question what I can trust with this channel unfortunately. There's a lot of money and benefit to be gained from giving charitable reviews to the right companies. Anyway, if you did buy the saw I hope you like it better than I did!
Rob thanks for your review. I am remodeling my house and wanted a professional quality cordless miter saw. I was a frame and finish carpenter in my twenties so I am conscious of the differences between a DIY quality tool and a professional grade tool. Your tool reviews are far and away the best I have seen on UA-cam. I am still in the trades( I own an electronic security company in the Boston area) so I will continue to check out your tool’s review and other content. Keep up the great work! Todd
First thing to mention is I am heavily invested in the Ridgid platform with 7 batteries and 18 tools including their Gen5x Brushless 7-1/4" Dual Bevel Sliding miter saw which I absolutely love and for the kind of work I do it takes care of most of it, I do have a cheaper Ryobi corded 10" miter saw when I need a larger saw but I would like to get a 10" cordless miter saw and since AEG (Australia branded Ridgid) won't bring over their 10" cordless saw it really disappoints me. Now getting to Milwaukee, I'm in a program where I get to pick things out each month and have them sent out to me for free to test and review and I have been really lucky and have been able to pick out some really cool Milwaukee tools including the new Milwaukee M18 Fuel Surge Impulse Driver, the new Milwaukee M18 Fuel Gen2 Impact Gun with 1400lb-ft of nut busting torque in reverse and probably the best thing I've gotten is the new $630 Milwaukee M18 Fuel Drain Snake Kit that they just released in November, I have had the pleasure of using it over half a dozen times now and it's super badass I personally don't think there is another handheld auger on the market right now that can even come close to it! Then past what i got from them for free I personally went out and bought their new Milwaukee M18 Fuel Blower which I love, it has more power than my gas blower! So the most important thing here is that I now have 5 Milwaukee XC 5.0amp Red Lithium batteries so that has gotten me well established in the Milwaukee brand getting so many batteries which is great and I'm really stoked that I can run both Ridgid and Milwaukee tools now. Anyways to the point I don't use a miter saw a ton And my 7-1/4" Ridgid 18volt cordless miter saw takes care of most everything I need to cut but I would still really like to have a 10" cordless miter saw so that I don't need a cord for any of my miter saws, so I ask u do u think this Milwaukee M18 Fuel 10" cordless miter saw is worth the money even if I won't use it on a daily basis and will a 5.0amp battery run it ok, I'm not worried about run time to much since I have 5 M18 5.0amp Red Lithium batteries but I assume the 9.0amp battery delivers a little more power so my big question is will a 5.0amp battery give me enough power? I expect it will cut a little slower than the 9.0amp battery which is ok as long as it can get the job done. I've heard elsewhere that a 5.0amp battery will run this saw but u just lose a little power and speed compared to using the 9.0amp battery with it but that even still the 5.0amp battery will tackle anything u need, can u give me any feedback on that cuz I'm still debating on if I should spend this much on a miter saw since I don't use one on a daily basis and I'm also debating if I do get one wether to get the bare tool and run it with my 5.0amp batteries or pay the extra money and get the kit with the 9.0amp battery included.
I'm a glazier and even though this is regarded as a carpenters tool, dual bevel mitre saws are the bread and butter of aluminum fabrication. Very useful tool outside of carpentry.
Great review Rob. I also am a 20v max user but am not upset with the 60 volt line unless it really means that we won't see as many 20v innovation... As far as this saw, I totally agree with all you have said. 10 inch saws have always been my favorites as a contractor, and I wish there was more emphasis on them. I have the cordless DeWalt 7&1/4 and love it, but wish it was 10 inch and REALLY wish it was dual bevel. If Dewalt made a version that was 10 inch and either 60v or 20v, I would be all over it (the fact that you can run the 60v on AC adapter is brilliant). I am thinking of branching into Milwaukee as my secondary line--love their lights and innovation!
Thanks for the review. I been buying Milwaukee M18 cordless tools. I just bought me a cordless screw gun with a charger and 2 batteries on sale at Home Depot. So my next tool is the table saw. Lots of jobsites I go to have no electricity or to many ppl plugged into the spider box keeps tripping the power and it cause a slowdown in production. It caused me to get laid off for someone unplugging our cords. Welcome to the cordless tool jobsites.
Awesome review, loved every minute! On little note we'd have is pricing is $599 for kit with two 9.0Ah battery through the end of the year. Bare Tool version isn't even available until 2017. Wish we could say that was an Ohio Power Tool exclusive but that's pretty much anywhere legit that sells Milwaukee Tools.
Milwaukee has really taken a huge step forward with the fuel line tools. They had allowed DeWalt to develop a massive head start in the pro carpentry market, but DeWalt gave it's competition an opening by changing to the flex system. Milwaukee has a huge opportunity to make some real ground up and it looks like they are taking it seriously.
I have the Ryobi 10 inch dual bevel sliding brushless 36v cordless saw and I love it. I built a small cart that the miter stand sits in and I just wheel it around every where. I got it tool only for $249. Already had plenty of batteries. My cuts are a perfect 90 degrees. And it’s only 34 pounds. Haven’t tried this saw but would love to see how they compare.
A heads up to the UK buyers watching the US videos We don't get the shadow line as Dewalt owns the European patent , we get leds to light the bed . Fantastic saw nonetheless had mine 2 weeks
Barkingtoad 1 what's the price difference to buy in the uk. I really liked the look of the Milwaukee cordless table saw, the concord review was talking about $750, its over £1,000 here. Feels a bit steep
looks like the europe/uk versions will only cut 91mm vertically. Looks like the Americans can cut 6'' baseboards with theirs, whilst Brits can only cut 91mm/ 3 5/8'' skirting boards. Thats really shabby. Anyone know why?
It's a actually 599 on all major sellers. That's for the kit and there is a promotion from now and the end of December, if you buy the 599 kit with a 9.0 battery and the rapid charger. YOU GET A FREE 9.0 battery. That's a win in my book. On the other hand dewalts flex volt is over 800 and it's heavy and bulky. No thank you. This is why I invest in Milwaukee.
too bad there is movement in the saw head because the slide tubes flex.inaccurate bevel cuts makes a miter saw worthless.i wont give up my red tools for yellow but the yellow destroys this saw
..thank you for the great review. I have bought the M18 fuel saw and I’m satisfied with it. It is now the time for Milwaukee to develop a transformer that fits in the battery plug, similar to the cord that the dewalt 60v saw has. So you candecide to work corded or cordless
We have one of these at work. The other day I cut LP siding and smart trim all day with a 9.0ah battery. Still had 2 bars left at the end of the day. In use it's just like using a corded saw. Unless you are just buying a saw that will always stay in the shop there's no reason to buy one with a cord.
Great review. Biggest problem I've had with the twelve inch blade is drift, but I think that's usually because my blade is getting dull. My DeWalt 12 inch is my favorite cordless tool, but man it's heavy!! Makes this 45 pound saw very attractive.
Hey Robert Thanks for the detailed review. I just purchased one of these saws from my local lumber yard for $565 with an extra battery included. For the past couple of days I have been familiarizing myself with the saw's features. I took the plastic cover off the back end of the left/right bevel bolt. I loosened the nut about 1/16th of a turn so I could rotate the head side to side smoothly. I really like how smooth the rails run. I do not like two things: The way the fence is attached - one set screw, even tightened down pretty well, allows the end near the blade to rotate upwards. Two is the hold down assembly - even my less costly Ryobi slider has a hold down that is fast, secure, and easy to use. Maybe there is an aftermarket hold down that is made for repeated use. The one on this saw sucks. Have other users voiced their thoughts on this feature? I am looking forward to mounting the saw to a stand or to some other solid surface and get going with making more cuts. I checked for accuracy out of the box and so far, it seems to be right on. I came with a very nice finish blade too. I liked that. We'll see how it goes.
I've had this saw for a year now. Impulse buy at Home Depot. It's not a terribly great saw for cutting vertical which isn't a big deal since I cut mostly flat anyway and the vertical nest capacity is enough for 95% of the crown profiles I use. On a 9amp battery I can almost trim a whole house on one battery which is really impressive. The crown stops are great. There is a lot of movement in the head and that was a big problem at first but since I'm used to the saw now I have the feel for getting a good straight cut every time now. I like the small size and weight, bevel and miter adjustments work well. Lots of power for just about anything.
Gabe McKay I love the portability and your right -rail saws have head movement, you need to learn the saw. Well done sir sound like that impulse purchase worked out
Hello Rob, I really liked the 12 "milwalkee miter saw and I'm in doubt between dewalt 12", I found it very practical and fast the bevel and miter lock that is also digital, blade shadow like dewalt, I didn't like the kapex handle and I think it wears out a long time to adjust miter and bevel, I would like you to get a face to face video between dewalt 12 "and milwalkee 12" (corded). In my opinion are the 2 best miter saw, makita is very good but loses in speed in bevel and miter lock. The advantage of dewalt is that in the flex volt version it is cordlees and corded but I am in doubt between corded. You are the right person to take my doubt, I found your channel more reliable. thanks
Good review Rob! I pre-ordered one a few days ago and was stuck between the Milwaukee 10 and Dewalt flex volt 12. It gives me some purchase assurance to know The Carpenter prefers a 10 inch over a 12 in most circumstances. I'm using a Ryobi 10 inch sliding bevel currently and that has met all my needs where a fixed-non-sliding one would not have. Though it works fine I've said to myself in the back of my mind "one of these days.. I'll get a nicer saw." Can't wait to try it out for myself!
I just bought one as a DIYer. Overkill for sure--been using a Ryobi chop saw for years, but have had several occasions where a slider would have improved the quality of my work. I bought it on sale with free battery. Still very expensive as a hobbyist though. I have several other Milwaukee M12 & M18 tools and the quality has been outstanding.
Same here, just got one yesterday. Now up to a table saw, the miter, circular, Sawzall and a multitool from Milwaukee, very satisfied with all thus far. Home ownership is a lot of work.
I bought it this week, Jan 2019. I like the cordless feature but forgot that there would be no way to connect it to my Fein vacuum which has the auto-on feature. So I guess I have to turn the vac on and off manually for each cut if I use the saw indoors.
Rob, this was a great review. I really appreciate hearing about real world application and not just torture tests. Another benefit, when you're not using the saw, the battery could be used on other M18 tools to give them some real power! Thanks for a great review! #TIAcrew #MilwaukeeTool #NBHD #coleistheman
Daniel Julian I used the 9.0 battery on a 7 1/4 circle saw, and it did seem more powerful than running it on a 4.0 battery which is what I usually run. It runs great on the regular battery, but it didn't bog at all on my test cuts with the 9.0 battery.
Best saw for interior trim. Plastic or pine both good. Like they say let the tool work. Still use electric for decks and barn lumber. Bought open box for 311$ and free 8 battery. Still has Same warranty. Done 1 job with it. So paid for now. Let's make sum $ Thanks Milwaukee . Been here for 15 years now. 😊
This test is only if you want to saw with a precision miter saw. (not for rough work). Tips and Test: Very important if you would like to saw with precision. (avoid torsion as much as possible)! Always choose a Miter saw with a handle positioned in a vertical line above the saw blade. Everything must be aligned, slide rails, handle, and saw blade,it is much better this way the blade will not tilt. Because there is some torsion in the aluminum housing . And choose an engine with softstart on it to prevent wear of the gear and worm shaft. It is very important that everything is aligned. Here are some examples to show how the handle must be positioned above the blade. Bosch gcm 800 sj / Bosch gcm 8 sjl / Evolution rage 3 / FESTOOL KS 60 / Bosch GCM 8 SDE / FESTOOL KS 60 E KAPEX / Metabo KGSV 72 Xact / Bosch PCM 8 SD / Hitachi C10FSH. (This also is the case with the Miter saw without the slide rails). (If you want). You can test it yourself at home if there is torsion in the aluminum housing. Step-1. First you make a saw cut from +-5 mm deep in to a flat piece of wood about +- 20 mm thick to this with the normal handle positioned on the right side of the Miter saw (the wood it will remain in place until the test is completed). Step-2. Then repeat this by pushing the saw blade down with your hand (finger) on the aluminum protective cover were the saw blade is cased in. Just now only do this without the running engine. Step-3. Now you can see if the saw blade will be positioned in or next to the saw cut. If the saw blade is (+- 0,2 / 0,5 mm) next to the saw cut then there is torsion in the aluminum housing (test is completed). Step-4. therefor it is much better to choose a Miter saw with the handle positioned vertical in line above the saw blade. Conclusion: how further away the handle is from the saw blade how more chance of torsion in the aluminum housing.(don't go for that). Also with a cheap slide miter saw it is still better the handgriff in line a above the saw blade than on the right side. Maybe they will make it someday then we have a winner...
I bring the smallest saw to the job site that will get it done. My baby 7 1/4 saw will actually work most of the time. A 12” saw is almost never required. 10 does the job just fine
Great review as always Rob, I have wanted one of these for a long time and just ordered one and it will be here tomorrow, I'm super excited to get it, I ordered it online instead of buying it in the store because there were running a special deal where it came with a free $200 Milwaukee miter saw stand as a bonus and I have already picked up a 60 tooth Diablo blade to put on it so I can get nice clean cuts!
Hi I am electrician many times I have need for a good saw, so when I saw this I jumped on it since after 35 years in the trade I will be building a small timber frame home so this will work fine for my needs. I purchase my from CPO tool supplier and my kit came with the 9 amp hour battery not only did it come but as a bonus I got an extra battery. Not sure how long this promo will last but that's a 199.00 savings in spare battery.
I recently purchased this saw and after setting it up laid a straight edge on the table to measure the height from a workbench to see what was needed to make leveling/extension blocks. This was when I noticed the pivoting table of the saw was lower than the fixed sides of the saw. This would be problematic when cutting as your PC could pivot down, when cutting, and make un-square cuts. Has anyone else run into this. I wish I could post pictures I have showing this.
I like the Milwaukee 10" cordless. However, even with the hidden rails you still need the space for the saw to operate. In that respect, and their front bevel lever on the front, I like the Bosch. I would like to see someone come out with battery/corded adaptor power like the DeWalt 12". You can by the Milwaukee saw, rapid charger and 9.0 battery for under $600, I paid $570 with shipping. I run all DeWalt cordless and all corded Bosch for my bigger jobs.
Its all relative. Im not sure how the top end trades compare but minimum wage in the USA is like $10 hour and I believe Australia is over $17. Correct me if I'm wrong.
TheVelluch yes your right , a job in a fast food joint would be 15 to 20 bucks a hour in Australia , trades start approx at 30 and go to 50 , 75 a hour
You know what I would like on these benchtop tools and "stationary" tools is a way to plug them into a wall as well. I would love to have a tool that I can have in my shop and if I need them on a job site I can grab and go.
I see that you said you can make the mistake of being off a degree returning back to zero when bevel cutting. Are there detents for the bevel setting so it snaps into place at zero or the popular angles?
Thanks for this Video! I just Brought the Milwaukee M18 Saw! I love it! Come with an extra battery! I have had Dewalt the non slider it was great but since I already have the ONE-KEY™ I'm in love with Milwaukee! Just can't lose with ether one!
I really like this saw, but I run on Black and Yellow most exclusively. If i didn't have the platforms already (and if I didn't live in Germany where Milwaukee tools are quite rare still), I'd maybe go for Team Red. Though: isn't this shadow indicator DeWalt's XPS patent? Thanks Rob for your good work!
Great review as always. I have a couple of questions: when you went past zero on the bevel was it because there are no positive stops? And, what would be the problem with grinding the 'nub' on the sliding fence that will not allow a right hand 45 degree bevel so that the fence would not have to be removed? You're absolutely correct about a 12" saw being overkill most of the time on the job site.
You could definitely going the fence - but my point is, you shouldn't have to do that, it should be a better design. Not sure what I did when I was going past zero - probably didn't let the lever own in time
Can someone please tell me how it locks when you push it towards you all the way? I know it locks when you push it out. Other miter saws you can lock it wherever on the rails. Please let me know know if you can lock the rails in when you have it pulled all the way in. Thank you
Hey Rob, how about a head to head with the Makita 10 inch 36 volt cordless sliding miter saw. Or a Comparison between all available cordless miter saw pros and cons, features etc.
yes I have, great video! I saw the Makita Miter saw on display, looks very cool! Im invested in Milwauekee tools. Someone needs to come up with adapter to use another brand battery on cordless tools.
I just found and subscribed to your channel, wanted to say thanks for what you're doing, very helpful, I'm going to have a new addition to my Milwaukee family soon, great job
I own plenty of Milwaukee tools But I've tried 2 of these saws and returned them, I found 2 main faults with the tool the fence extensions and the bevel adjustment presets. The latter being the worst I've seen on a saw of this type, hard if not impossible to adjust accurately Prone to have the screws strip and to much play when adjusted to truly trust. saw was great for cutting deck boards flooring and baseboards, things not requiring accurate bevels, but a nightmare with crown moldings.
Steph Hagen I have had the same issues. I’ve kept the saw because it’s light weight and I use for base, case, 1x and 2x materials. Here is what Milwaukee needs to fix: 1) too much flex in the saw. It’s easily to move the blade off center with a little pressure horizontally. In a bevel, it becomes more pronounced. 2) the fence is restrictive as mentioned in the video. 3) dust collection could be improved but it’s not bad. Overall, I sold a Dewalt because of its weight. I’m getting old and have had 4 major back surgeries and many minor surgeries. This saw is lightweight, it’s easy to use and I can live with its issues. However I hope Milwaukee will improve this like they have continued to improve their tools.
The "rail under body" design is just like the older Makita LS1013, which I still use n love. But but Milwaukee got the bevel adjust lever right👍. This makes me want to jump on the Milwaukee bandwagon
I love this saw. But I noticed that on 5 3/4" base board, cutting a right 45 miter. It won't cut all the way. The arbor gets in the way. Not sure if it's just me, maybe I'm not positioning it correctly. Would like to know if anyone else has this problem. Great Vid as always, and yes people do consider these videos when investing in new tools.
Does anyone know the depth this saw requires from front to back when fully extended? I want to know if it will fit on the workbench I have without moving it away from the wall. Thanks
Barkingtoad 1What is the overall height of saw when it's closed & locked , & overall height locked closed on the bevel I need to know if this will fit under my shutter on back of pickup . Thanks
Thanks! Have this awesome saw! I accidentally posted on your 7 1/2” mitre saw review. A question. Do you have a problem with the shadow line cutting guide not being able to be seen in daylight. I am unable to see the line unless I shield ambient sunlight and I is not even in super bright midday light. Wondering if I should bring it up for warranty. Or is it the LED isn’t bright enough. Any opinions appreciated! Stay well in these unsettled times! Ex
So even for left bevel you have to lift the paddle? Is there an override for that, so that you can bevel left and return to square hands free? I'm really interested in this saw, but that would be a deal breaker for me. Thanks for the great review!
Basically, can you drop the saw to a 45 left bevel and return to 90 without touching the paddle? For example, times when you are cutting coped baseboard on the flat and constantly throwing the saw back and forth from an inside 45 back to 90.
Does anyone know the front to back dimensions with the head (in this case in its chop only position due to the rails being inside the table)? Trying to figure out if I can fit it in my shop, thanks.
Fantastic real world review. It's nice to hear some actual day to day experiences with the saw. I don't think you can go wrong with either this or the Dewalt but for most jobs the lighter 10" with great battery life seems like a winner. #tiacrew #coleistheman
Rob do you know if there's any clearance issue when trying the 12ah battery? Also you mentioned it will cut a 1x6 upright, can you cut said 1x6 upright and mitered at 45 degrees both left and right? Thanks for any extra input. 👍
Hello Rob! I have been watching your videos for awhile now and I really enjoy the honesty and opinions on real world applications. Now my father has been a general contractor for 43 years and we purchased a cheap chop saw about 15 years ago it's time to upgrade! I am an HVAC technician by day and general contractor on the weekends. I have been looking for a new saw for months now, I have both platforms Milwaukee m18 and DeWalt 20v I was on the fence of this saw because like you mentioned it is a 10in blade and the DeWalt has one with a 12in blade but in your professional opinion and being this is going to be my first purchase which one would you go with in doing some trim work, maybe a few decks, and some flooring installations? Any information would be greatly appreciated 👍 thanks very much!
did your saw have some bearing play in the fully retracted position ? Was the mater lock less solid than other saws ? How does it compare to your 10" winner, the makita ls1016l thx
i bought one. i love it. i put it on a rigid fold up stand on wheels. paid 750 for the whole set up from home depot. i couldn't be happier with my saw.. i have a 12" rigid saw on the rigid stand that i rarely use because of having to track down a cord all the time. now i am cordless and can go anywhere. just last night i needed it for one cut so i threw it on my trailer and didn't even unload or unfold it. made my cut on the job and that was it. i have a pile of milwaukee m18 tools and i mainly bought this because i was going to buy the 9.0 batteries anyway so i decided because the saw was 600 bucks with 2 batteries that basically made the saw 200 for me.. couldn't be happier with it.
I love your no bull shit approach to your reviews. VERY much appreciated. New subscriber and fan. Thank you.
Given that Milwaukee now makes a 12.0 amp hour battery for the M18 platform, this saw has been a game changer in my arsenal.
I’m a huge Makita fan but I just decided change over to the Milwaukee 10 inch side saw. I hope it does well and I’m really excited to use it thank God no more cords.!
Rob,
purchased the milwaukee cordless mitersaw.
Thanks
Best tool reviews on UA-cam, hands down. Been in analysis paralysis about which platform to switch too. Leaning towards Milwaukee.

I've owned this saw for a few months now, best saw ever. I definitely recommend a 9.0amp hr battery. it last all day. great review
Very useful tool outside of carpentry.
thx. Great video. I like that your reviews have been getting more in depth and less sales pitch, unlike most others.
Wish we could say that was an Ohio Power Tool exclusive but that's pretty much anywhere legit that sells Milwaukee Tools.
thanks
Milwaukee has really taken a huge step forward with the fuel line tools. They had allowed DeWalt to develop a massive head start in the pro carpentry market, but DeWalt gave it's competition an opening by changing to the flex system. Milwaukee has a huge opportunity to make some real ground up and it looks like they are taking it seriously.
I was so impressed with the the 7 1/4" miter saw so just ordered the 10" miter saw.
Thank u sir for your honest review. Just brought one this Black Friday!!!
Thanks for the heads up
It's a actually 599 on all major sellers.
ARMOR PIERCER someone's feeling where hurt 😭
too bad there is movement in the saw head because the slide tubes flex.inaccurate bevel cuts makes a miter saw worthless.i wont give up my red tools for yellow but the yellow destroys this saw
..thank you for the great review. I have bought the M18 fuel saw and I’m satisfied with it.
It is now the time for Milwaukee to develop a transformer that fits in the battery plug, similar to the cord that the dewalt 60v saw has.
So you candecide to work corded or cordless
Daniel Rzepka that's not so easy- it requires 120 volts, would add considerable electronics and weight. We'll see I guess
Hey Robert
Thanks for the detailed review.
Neil Hendricks still like or did you get rid of it?
Well done sir sound like that impulse purchase worked out
Still a well put together, relevant and informative video. Thank you.
Brilliant review, Rob. You've convinced me to buy the Milwaukee miter saw (10-inch).
Robert you have the best reviews, I just purchased the Milwaukee 18 v table saw and am very happy with It
Enjoy it
I just bought one as a DIYer.
Great review again😊
Годная вещь 👍👍👍. А подсветка на де волт ещё была такая. Удобно, спору нет
Thanks - and yes that battery works across the M18 platform. You really see it shine on high demand tools like SDS drills, Hole Hawg and the miter saw
Daniel Julian I used the 9.0 battery on a 7 1/4 circle saw, and it did seem more powerful than running it on a 4.0 battery which is what I usually run. It runs great on the regular battery, but it didn't bog at all on my test cuts with the 9.0 battery.
@@ConcordCarpenter Do you still use this saw? If so, how would you say it held up over the years sir?
Best saw for interior trim. Plastic or pine both good. Like they say let the tool work. Still use electric for decks and barn lumber. Bought open box for 311$ and free 8 battery. Still has Same warranty. Done 1 job with it. So paid for now. Let's make sum $ Thanks Milwaukee . Been here for 15 years now. 😊
This test is only if you want to saw with a precision miter saw. (not for rough work).
Tips and Test:
Very important if you would like to saw with precision.
CPO Milwaukee has this with two batteries and a free milwaukee miter saw stand! Goodness! I got mine today and haven't opened it yet but I am PUMPED
Great review , honest and informational ....you guys gets tools almost half price to what we get in Australia for the same tool .
Answer is 42 DeWalt flexvolt does.
I see that you said you can make the mistake of being off a degree returning back to zero when bevel cutting. Are there detents for the bevel setting so it snaps into place at zero or the popular angles?
Can you add crown stops to it
Some say the Milwaukee wobbles is that true ? Heard it’s bad for belevel cuts. Particularly on 10 inch
Thanks Rob for your good work!
milwaukee is crazy price in Europe.. i travel a lot to the usa for work so i get my stuff there. but this is too heavy ;)
Not sure what I did when I was going past zero - probably didn't let the lever own in time
this man deserves a Milwaukee shirt
I need a saw like this to cut aluminum files for doors construction. Can you give us a heads up about the use on that material?
Great video! Does this saw have a depth stop feature? Someone please?
Can someone please tell me how it locks when you push it towards you all the way? I know it locks when you push it out. Other miter saws you can lock it wherever on the rails. Please let me know know if you can lock the rails in when you have it pulled all the way in. Thank you
Milwaukee has a great line with their fuel platform. Love the reviews
Hey Rob, how about a head to head with the Makita 10 inch 36 volt cordless sliding miter saw. Or a Comparison between all available cordless miter saw pros and cons, features etc.
Have u seen this? ua-cam.com/video/lxKoBZsC1Z8/v-deo.html
yes I have, great video! I saw the Makita Miter saw on display, looks very cool! Im invested in Milwauekee tools. Someone needs to come up with adapter to use another brand battery on cordless tools.
I just found and subscribed to your channel, wanted to say thanks for what you're doing, very helpful, I'm going to have a new addition to my Milwaukee family soon, great job
thanks man - flow Pats fan! Please subscribe to our newsletter. You can access it either on ConcordCarpenter.com or ToolBoxBuzz.com
Best saw I ever had, try different brands on 10 inch and this is the best, on my personal opinion,
Please do a review on the DeWalt Flexvolt rotary hammer
I love your videos Rob! but I wish sometimes you've used Milimeters too
Love your channel, excellent reviews ,well informed on what your talking about. Look forward to more Ray S
RJ&JR RAILS g scale Solenske thank you sir
Does this saw have a depth stop?
Seen a comment elsewhere that it didn’t 🤔
Gunna work great with the 12.0
Does this saw have the depth/dado feature? Looks like it does but can't really see it clearly.
New subscriber. Watched a bunch of your videos. Really like your non bias reviews.
Thanks - check out our newsletter at www.toolboxbuzz.com
I would like to see the option of corded or cordless in this saw
I love this saw. But I noticed that on 5 3/4" base board, cutting a right 45 miter. It won't cut all the way. The arbor gets in the way. Not sure if it's just me, maybe I'm not positioning it correctly. Would like to know if anyone else has this problem.
Great Vid as always, and yes people do consider these videos when investing in new tools.
Jesus Hernandez did you slide the fence out of the way?
This comment is what I'm here for. I had a feeling this would be a problem.
Can you do a review of the Bosch miter saw 18 v
Nice always like your reviews. But we must adequate space on my work bench.
Thanks
Ok IPE decking question, what's the run time for an average 250-300 sqft deck with skirting run time with this cordless saw?
Great review. Clear and thorough. Thanks. Helps me greatly in determining my decision.
love your real reviews.
Ex
YewJin Tan only super bright light
Great review. Thanks
Just wondering if you switch the light on does the switch flick back up or stay down
Will this also accept the 12.0 batteries?
How does this saw hold up in 2022? $500 for a bare tool 2734, or should I invest in a new battery platform with Makita’s XGT Miter Saw.
still in service
So even for left bevel you have to lift the paddle? Is there an override for that, so that you can bevel left and return to square hands free? I'm really interested in this saw, but that would be a deal breaker for me. Thanks for the great review!
Not sure what you mean
Basically, can you drop the saw to a 45 left bevel and return to 90 without touching the paddle? For example, times when you are cutting coped baseboard on the flat and constantly throwing the saw back and forth from an inside 45 back to 90.
Hey what about the jet miter saw ? Any advice or review.. thanks
Does anyone know the front to back dimensions with the head (in this case in its chop only position due to the rails being inside the table)? Trying to figure out if I can fit it in my shop, thanks.
How many cuts does the Milwaukee cordles
Fantastic real world review. It's nice to hear some actual day to day experiences with the saw. I don't think you can go wrong with either this or the Dewalt but for most jobs the lighter 10" with great battery life seems like a winner. #tiacrew #coleistheman
thx
Nice review Rob. You have sold me I was on the fence with this one but it looks like I'm going all in. #TIACREW
you've sold it to me, one thing would it run off m18 5.0 battery?
nick mchale yes
@@ConcordCarpenter thanks
Rob do you know if there's any clearance issue when trying the 12ah battery? Also you mentioned it will cut a 1x6 upright, can you cut said 1x6 upright and mitered at 45 degrees both left and right? Thanks for any extra input. 👍
reddawg rup yes if you move the fence
A Concord Carpenter / ToolBoxBuzz... Thanks Rob for the quick reply!! Very much appreciated!!
When not on a preset miter, it easily slides out of measurement, especially when making a bevel cut. Is there a way to tighten the front clamp?
edawolf3000 not sure without seeing it. I'd check the manual first, call Cust Serv second
did your saw have some bearing play in the fully retracted position ? Was the mater lock less solid than other saws ? How does it compare to your 10" winner, the makita ls1016l thx
small amount of play, not with miter lock, and not when lowered
+AConcordCarpenter Do you use jigsaws if so do you have the Milwaukee 2645 M18 jigsaw and have any plans on reviewing it?
not anytime soon - we did a jigsaw head-2head last year www.toolboxbuzz.com/head-to-head/best-corded-top-handle-jig-saw-comparison/
Hi Bob . Do you use this saw for work on a regular basis? And do you use it much for finish work?
No the smaller one
Buying one!!
Love your show
when will they get a table saw that runs on same 18v platform!!
Rick & Judy Davison they have one now. 2736-21HD.
You can trade in any tool in any condition when you upgrade to Festool power tool at Casco Tools. Pretty cool! No Tax & Free Shipping too!
please elaborate on the accuracy of long bevel cuts and head flex is it easy to make a 45 bevel cut in a 1x12 thx
yes it is
.....it's a miter saw who is moving this around on a job site to need cordless power?
