Can they take Queensland back to the same dynasty they enjoyed as players? Or is their lack of coaching experience and a thin talent pool doomed to hurt them?

That's the thing. In the 8 in a row saga, nsw would bring in new players every year focussing on how they were stronger and faster and better. All qld did was focus on fighting for qld and they killed us every time. That's what i love about freddy and joey in there coaching, they understand what origin is about.
I'm a Queenslader, I love Paul Gallen. He's hard in the field but soft outside.. A true champion of the game..
i believe in B Slater and the young blood....they will definately do us proud go the mighty maroons
With a cloud already over tommy turbo and Latrell Mitchell the Qld Team already have a very good 1 to 7 on the field to go with a decent forward pack. As a NSW boy, I think our streak will end this year. Just keep it fair, tough and fast!
As a fellow NSW I’m not sure you can call 1 series win a “streak”
Replace turbo and latrell with burton and crichton and ur set
I don't know of this 'streak ' your talking about mate qld won in 2020 with the worst team ever . We had hymel hunt, jai arrow, phillip sami , edrick lee and josh kerr to name a few horrible players
no turbo and Latrell? Bring in Crichton, Hynes, Reuben Garrick or Matt Burton. NSW has endless talent to choose from.

Wouldn't say doomed to fail, everyone doubted Mal Meninga and look what happened. It'll be difficult though this NSW could easily be the Australian team.
Look at the players Mal had lol as they retired he said I'm out of here.His NRL coaching was terrible.His origin success was simply from the players he had.
@@OZIPUG1970 Can't take anything away from Mal though. Also Bellamy had trouble coaching NSW cause QLD had all the players he helped developed (Smith Slater and Cronk) lol

They won in 2020 with the “worst QLD team of all time”. So you’d never really write them off.

QLD gonna win this year. The NSW players arent where they were last year.
NSW have enough players that it won’t matter. For example if Angus Crichton isn’t up to scratch then in comes Tyson Frizell or Josh Curran.
We also have the likes of Papenhuyzen, Kotoni Staggs, Mitchell Moses, Nicho Hynes, Gutho, Lomax, Victor Radley, Luke Keary, Campbell Graham, Alex Johnston, Cody Walker.. Don’t forget the players we already have in NSW who have been in absolute beautiful form.. so I don’t know what kinda footy you’re watching mate but it ain’t the same as me 🤷🏽♂️
I think even the 2nd/3rd grade NSW blues team would trouble QLD.

how do? and another reason green wont win an origin because he dont explain his reasoning to the players properly. when he told his team to get their heads out of the media and didnt explain why, he lost the teams confidence. being that thurston kicking for dropout/20 restart with solid defence they'ld end average set to kick at 12.5 m in oppo territory when i crunched numbers after media nitpick, green should have done same.

In terms of on field talent, the pendulum has now swung in the blues favour. QLD will put up a better fight than they did a few years ago, but they have the advantage presently. Still...Go Queensland!

When they all bonk each other at the first training session, if they can pass on some of their DNA and it mutates then qld might have a chance of winning a game.

Never ceases to amaze me how they talk sbout Smith, Slater & Thurston as the dream team. They left out anither member who us just as important. The organiser - Cooper Cronk. Just as Melbourne put up 2 statues,
