I know exactly what you were feeling bro! I get the shakes when I'm pushing too . I don't know if anyone else heard it but that low harmonic as the car passed tells me check your tires there may be a tear or something. Also, to all who speedrun balance your tires! It's as dramatic a fix in handling as getting the right tires for track racing vs stock rtr affairs! And thanks Vas for showing this pretty beast!
Great job! The rush you get just standing there running these things is amazing. I got a new PB last time out of 139mph and I know it has more in it. Keep going Vas!!!
Great looking limitless Vas, id be nervous as hell. I cant help saying the f word each time it goes screaming past. Thats incredible speed , amazing work Vas. This was great.
Vas, you aren't alone with the shakes brother. First time I took my Felony out with the speed gear I was shaking for like an hour after. 86mph/138kph all stock using Ovonic batteries. One thing I did and It may help you. If you haven't already of course. Balance your wheels with a prop balancer using gaffer tape as weights. My car sounds and runs so much smoother. Hoons aren't very balanced out of the box. Epic runs man and 4s your Limitless hauls!! Love the sounds these things make when going fast.. There's a reason why they hold the world record ATM.
Def sounds like a beast winding up! Like the location and seems like an absolute beautiful day. Early morning when sun just comes up is the best time if possible. Asphalt not as hot and passing heat into car or creating thermals.
She is a screamer, she’s loud coming down the street. The second time she got out of shape definitely sounded like the HOONS tires making those vibrations and even causing problems with your tire contact patch. They look still fairly new so they still need to be worn in to be flatter. I never got to reach 80-100 mph “confidently” until I balanced the HOONS tires on my felony. Straight away it just did 93 swiftly without trying. Fast forward to today, I have a NEW build which we all know comes with its OWN set of problems 😂 so i can truly appreciate watching you make your own progress on your limitless build💪🫡..
Awesome speed run Vas! Glad you finally got the Limitless out and pushing it to the limit :) I would recommend switching to GRPs or Foams if you want to continue. The Hoons are only good until 170kph and I'm almost certain you already blew one tire, it definitely sounds like it on the 2nd last run. So definitely check the tires if you want to go out again. Depending how fast you wanna go, I would consider upgrading to CF driveshafts. The ones you have in there seem to be oscillating already (that's the roaring sound at high speed), ideally you want a smooth high pitched sound. I had that problem with 8mm titanium shafts and they were rubbing on the receiver box and the rear tower brace as I got to higher speeds. Also let the motor and ESC cool off between runs, the motor was probably too hot in the end. Super fun vid, I hope you continue the series since the car has a lot more in it :)
Thank you for the tips. I'll look into the CF shafts, I currently have upgraded ones that are meant to NOT oscillate, but going with lighter shafts can't hurt either. I have both foam and GRP tyres ready to go, so I might bring them out next time. Thanks heaps for stopping by, it's been a while since I've seen you comment. 😎👍
@@AussieRCPlayground Maybe you don't need CF shafts then, you can check if the shafts have some black wear off from the receiver box. That's awesome, will be looking forward to it. Yeah I've been quite busy in recent months and weren't able to put out any videos myself. Hopefully I will have some time soon :)
I bought a limitless V2 and gave it it's first run on 8s down a nice wide street that was unfortunately only about 100m long, but I managed to hit 181kph and stop 1m from a hard gutter 😬 it scared the crap out of me.
Nice work. I reckon a full body might help a bit. Not wanting to be a negative Nancy, but the car doesn't sound right when it goes past. I don't know ifit's driveline of the tires but I'd give the car a once over (which I think you are going to do anyway). Maybe foam tires would help as well.
You might be right about the sound, it could be the tyres, but I'll check it out and see what I find. As I said in the video, this was just a test and I haven't driven the car in 3 years, so I gotta get used to it again and work out a tune to get that top speed. I do have some GRPs and some foam tyres as well to try out, so we'll see what happens in future runs. 😎
Nice to see an Aussie RC channel. Not a bad run mate, not bad at all. Your Limitless looks great btw. Did you paint it yourself? I'm thinking of having a crack at a Red Bull paint job. A little intimidating for my amateurish skills.
I think you can go faster on a longer wider road and by having a longer antenna or a booster with your radio for longer range and try to stay off ground for your safety and longer range. Also, try to hold full throttle for about two or, if possible, three seconds and accelerate softly and gradually! Meanwhile, the set looks quite good, and you can enjoy it . If you want to go faster, there are many items that you can add to the rig while achieving your goals!
This was just a test, I haven't driven the car in 3 years, it was my first time with this setup and first time on this road, so yes, there is a lot that can be done and changed to go faster. And I will go faster. 😉
Although I know it is not the fastest car out there yet but I enjoy watching the sound every now and then. I have the Limitless V1 with the Max6 and the 1580kv Rocket motor, and now I ordered the V2 but still have not decided what electronics I am going to put in!
Bit of an adrenaline pump !. Awesome bit of kit . Glad you got her home in one piece. Be interesting to see the development going forward. Hope you can find a more suitable place to run it . Got any airfields around? ( not in use 😂) Thanks for showing us this beast .
It would be interesting to know how the GPS Speed Meter malfunctioned and registered that 394km/h reading it got. Maybe one of the Satellites sending the signal had started to re-enter the atmosphere.
I've had edited reading before, but most of the time it's slower - much slower. Getting a reading that high is extremely odd and not something I've seen before.
Thank you, I appreciate that. I don't think it's the quantity of the subscribers, it's the quality. 😎 I may not have the most subs, but I have the best ones. I hope. 😁
Why do you point to 5:15 when you said this particular sentence? There is nothing in that part of the video to indicate that the car is overheating. Overheating would be the only sign the car is geared too high. Is it because you hear the fans ? I'm sorry, the fans are on the whole video, and it's only prudent behavior to run fans on that big 2200kv motor, no matter how few passes you do, you want to prolong the life of the motor so you run fans. I run fans on my little 3060 3300kv motor on 3s. People run fans. Smart people who don't run Traxxas vehicles stock out of the box run fans. Apparently fans cost more than a lawsuit with Arrma, so you don't get fans on Traxxas motors. Fans are a luxury like sway bars on the Slash and metal geared servos on $400 and below vehicles. Maybe you're a Traxxas guy and that's why you don't think fans do anything useful except "for weight" Did your rep convince you that fans actually make your car slower, right after he sold you some overpriced "25C" batteries that actually test at 17C ?
It is nice to see the Limitless again, but I don't think that the gps is correct. At least while watching the video, it doesn't seem like it isn't going that fast. Maybe it is the video speed, but your speech seems that it is in the correct video speed!

The best part of this video is not just your Aarma but the sound. The sound of your Limitless is just awesome!
Thank you man. 😎
That sound of pure power
Lost signal beeps from the castle esc be careful 👌cool runs
Oh, is that what those beeps were? Didn't know that, thanks for the tip. 👍

Insane run Vas
That sounds awesome on 6s. Sounds like a race car flying by. My heart would be pounding too. Nice video bro
Thanks Jon. It's definitely a rush, I tell ya. Haha.
Proper Vas😎 sweet passes you’ll get used to the shakes the more you speed run
Thanks for sharing Vas💯
Great runs and the sound is incredible. Good luck with your future passes

Epic passes Vas💪 I just love that sound of the car👌

Sounds insane! 🤣 that fan is like a jet turbine, its definitely got the head turn sound going haha
At that speed every surface becomes bumpy. It really takes some bravery to drive it on 8S. That sound is just music!
I'll get there, it's just getting used to it and figuring out the best setup and it'll be on 8s eventually. 😉

Awesome Vas, love the paint scheme on that one you did. Can you list the specs of what you put in it?
Hi Chris, thanks for stopping by. I'll list it all in the video description for all to see. 🙂

I'd have pooped my pants. 50 feels fast to me.
And those mod 1 gears, so crunchy in the best way.
Nice. Do one 8S run with a wider track.
Now that would be somethin to see 😄
Nice paint colour scheme, which paints were used?

You need some foam tires 😄 you can hear the tires.
Kindly did you use the same gearing on the 4s and the 6s?
When are you going to release a Hobao vs2 video?
Later this week. That's next on my list. 😉
Im surprise you haven't hit 100k subscribers yet

@@AussieRCPlayground Great response Aussie
5:15 your car is geared out. For speed runs, I only use my fans for weight and to cool off after 3 passes. I don't run with my fans on.

No, I'm using 34/34. It's a 1:1 ratio.
